Marvel Studios begins Production of “Ant-Man”

Marvel Studios begins production of their newest super heroes movie “Ant-Man”. which begins shooting today in San Francisco, California. “Ant-Man will also include shoots in Atlanta, Georgia as the base location for the movie.

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” is the story of con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) whose powers include the ability to shrink in size but gain super strength. In the movie, Scott must find his inner-hero and work with his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), to protect the secret behind the spectacular Ant-Man suit, and against all odds, pull of the heist of the century that will save the world.

“Ant-Man” stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym and Evangeline Lilly as Dr. Pym’s daughter, Hope Van Dyne. Also starring in “Ant-Man” are Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson , Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian (“The Dark Knight,” “Prisoners”), Wood Harris, John Slattery and Gregg Turkington. The film to be directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee serving as executive producers will be released in U.S. theatres on July 15, 2015.

The “American Idol Experience” to Close Sooner Than Anticipated

Disney has moved up the end date for the “American Idol Experience” at Hollywood Studios. The last day for the experience will be August 30, 2014.

This attraction has been around since 2009. It opened with a blue-carpet event that Ryan Seacrest and a few of the “American Idol” winners. For the first time, all “Idol” champions appeared on the same stage at the same time.

Disney has not yet said what they will do with all that empty space, but I am sure they will come up with something even more awesome!

Star Wars to Release Unaltered Cut of Star Wars Trilogy on Blu-Ray

Star Wars fans have long been asking for Disney to re-release unedited versions of the Star Wars Trilogy. Well you requests have been granted according to Comicbook.com this plan is now under way and will soon become a reality.

Disney also has plans to release the original version of the Star Wars trilogy on Blu-ray. They want to release A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of Jedi in their complete, unaltered, original form without the redone special edition SFX.

An exact release date is unknown right now but it has been said that they want to have it done and released before Star Wars Episode VII is released in theaters.

New Alice in Wonderland Tsum Tsum at Disney Stores and Parks

Earlier this summer, Disney launched Tsum Tsum globally, an adorable mobile phone game, and soft toy line. With such success they’ve launched new Alice in Wonderland ones!

Since it’s US release it’s been a hot download for Android and iPhone, and the toys have been selling out of stores fast. The game and toys were originally a Japanese release, and being such a hit there, Disney decided to launch them across the globe. The Japanese Disney Stores have an even wider range than the initial release stateside, but being so popular Disney has already released another series of the adorable toys, featuring favorites from Alice in Wonderland. These toys are already available at Disney Stores, and Disney Store Online.

Star Wars Rebels Premiere Date Is Set and DVD Release Announced

It is finally here the release date for the much anticipated new Star Wars tv show, Star Wars Rebels. This year this show was the main focus of Star Wars Weekends with celebrities from the show appearing all five of the weekends. The show was also a big focus of San Diego Comic Con. Recently we have started seeing merchandise showing up in stores as well. Star Wars fans everywhere are all a buzz with the new show. The show will be airing on Disney XD this fall and here are the dates of the premiere.

The one hour “Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion” movie will premiere on Watch DisneyXD.com and the Watch Disney XD app on Monday September 29th, 2014
The premiere telecast of the one hour movie will be on Friday October 3rd at 9pm ET in the US
The show itself will premiere on Monday October 13th at 9pm ET on Disney XD

In addition a press release was sent from Lucasfilm by Tracy Cannobio and in that press release were details on the DVD release for the one hour Spark of Rebellion Movie which will be released on October 14th,2014.

“Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion” will be available to own on DVD in retailers nationwide. The DVD includes the movie, a free Ghost 3D model ship, four “Star Wars Rebels” shorts, plus a never-before-seen piece that takes you deeper into the world of “Star Wars Rebels” and the upcoming season.

The show will be airing in 34 languages across 163 countries and Star Wars fans around the world can not wait! I am fortunate enough to be able to access Watch Disney XD and this is the most exciting news I have heard in a long time. For those that do not know the show will be taking place between Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope. The show is centered around a group of rebels that are taking on the empire. This show will be showing us a time period previously off limits in the Star Wars universe and we just may see the way the Rebellion was formed. The show consists of a stellar cast of characters:

PANDORA Jewelry announced a new strategic alliance with The Walt Disney Company that will give the brand a presence in Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, beginning with the sponsorship of the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida this fall. In addition, PANDORA, in collaboration with Disney Consumer Products, is creating an original collection of beautifully designed Disney-themed jewelry launching at retail locations this fall.

“To say that PANDORA is excited about our relationship with Disney is an understatement,” said Scott Burger, President, PANDORA Americas. “Having a presence in the theme parks gives the brand another opportunity to engage with families and play a significant role in both the big and small moments of their lives.

Our consumers and retail partners have been requesting Disney-themed products for years and we are thrilled to finally offer them a brilliant assortment of charms that are the perfect balance of sophistication and whimsy. Our design teams have worked to build a collection that meets the exacting quality standards of PANDORA, preserves the integrity of the Disney characters we have all come to love over the years, and gives our consumers another way to share their stories,” continued Burger.

The new collection of hand finished sterling silver and 14K gold charms will feature inspirations from some of Disney’s most beloved characters. The initial launch, expected to roll out to PANDORA stores early November 2014, will include 25 different styles; an additional 16 styles will be sold at Disney merchandise locations, including the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. The Disney collection from PANDORA will also be available in PANDORA stores throughout Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Central America and the Caribbean in November.

“We’re looking forward to the opportunities ahead through our alliance with Pandora,” said Tiffany Rende, senior vice president of Disney Corporate Alliances and Operating Participants. “In addition to debuting a new line of Pandora jewelry at retail that we know will be a fan favorite, we are collaborating on other product lines and guest experiences at our domestic Parks and Resorts.”

Later this fall, select merchandise locations at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Vacation Club properties and Disney Cruise Line ships will begin selling the collections. Additionally two Disney merchandise locations, Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and La Mascarade d ‘Orleans in Disneyland Resort in California, will unveil unique retail installations, combining PANDORA’s sleek aesthetic and Disney’s creativity.

The new Disney products represent PANDORA Americas’ third licensed collection to launch within the past 12 months. Starting in 2015, Pandora will become presenting sponsor of the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend held annually at the Disneyland Resort.
