Universal Orlando Annual Passholders were able to begin purchasing single day tickets to Epic Universe this morning

The highly anticipated Epic Universe theme park at Universal Orlando Resort is one step closer to reality as single-day tickets went on sale this morning to annual passholders! The pricing revealed is surprisingly reasonable, with tickets starting at just $121 per day. For those planning to visit during the park’s opening weekend, ticket prices range from $156 to $164, depending on the day. The grand opening on May 22, 2025, is priced at $156, while the higher price point of $164 applies to Saturday and Sunday.

As of the time of the writing of this article, sales to passholders were paused due to high demand overloading the system, and opening day ticket allotment for passholders appears to be sold out (note: a limited number of tickets were reserved for passholders, so opening day being sold out to passholders does NOT necessarily mean single day tickets for the parks opening day will not be available at a later date).

To put the ticket pricing into perspective, a single-day ticket for Epic Universe on May 24 starts at $164, which is competitively priced compared to Walt Disney World. On the same day, a ticket to Animal Kingdom starts at $159, Hollywood Studios and EPCOT at $179, and Magic Kingdom at $184. Universal’s pricing strategy positions Epic Universe as an attractive option for visitors looking to experience Orlando’s latest blockbuster theme park at a reasonable cost.

Legendary songwriter and composer Randy Newman has sold his share of his recorded music and publishing rights, including his iconic Disney songs and scores, to Litmus Music.

Randy Newman, a celebrated songwriter and composer, began his musical journey as a teenager, releasing his self-titled debut album in 1968. Over the years, he established himself as a prolific solo artist and a renowned film composer.

Newman’s extensive Disney credits include the entire “Toy Story” franchise, “Monsters, Inc.” and “Monsters University,” “Cars” and “Cars 3,” “A Bug’s Life,” “The Princess and the Frog,” and “James and the Giant Peach.” His contributions to these films earned him multiple Academy Award nominations for Best Original Song and Best Musical or Comedy Score. Notably, he won Best Original Song for “If I Didn’t Have You” from “Monsters, Inc.” and “We Belong Together” from “Toy Story 3,” which he also performed.

In addition to his Academy Awards, Randy Newman has also been honored with three Primetime Emmy Awards and seven Grammy Awards. Woody’s Lunch Box Seating Area Construction Update from Hollywood Studios

The popular Woody’s Lunch Box seating area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been demolished to make way for a new and improved space. Construction is currently underway, and we have an update.

The beloved Woody’s Lunch Box seating area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was unexpectedly demolished last month. However, the walk-up counter-service restaurant remains open for business while construction takes place.

Although no official details about the refurbishment have been released, recent photos show fresh pavement in some areas, hinting at the potential changes to come.

Construction crews are hard at work on the new Woody’s Lunch Box seating area. Recent photos reveal that repaving has begun in sections of the area, with a grid setup in place for further paving work.

The construction site also features staged equipment and newly dug square holes fortified with lumber. While the purpose of these holes remains unclear, they could indicate plans for a new structure in the area.

One of the main criticisms of Toy Story Land has been the lack of shade and seating, particularly near Woody’s Lunch Box. Before the opening of Roundup Rodeo BBQ in 2023, Woody’s Lunch Box was the only dining option in the land and had no covered seating.

Although the seating area is currently closed due to construction, temporary tables have been set up near the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to accommodate guests.

All 4 Magic Key Passes will go on Sale Next Month

Disneyland Resort has exciting news for fans! After a summer hiatus, Magic Key passes will be available for purchase again next month.

Magic Key passes will be available for purchase again on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. All four pass types will be offered while supplies last.

The online queue to purchase Magic Keys will open no earlier than 8:45 AM PT, and sales will begin no earlier than 9 AM PT.

Disneyland Resort offers four Magic Key tiers: Inspire, Believe, Enchant, and Imagine.

Inspire Key ($1,749): Enjoy up to six theme park reservations, 25% off Lightning Lane Multi Pass, unlimited PhotoPass downloads, 20% off select merchandise, 15% off select dining, and standard theme park parking.
Believe Key ($1,374): Benefit from up to six theme park reservations, 25% off Lightning Lane Multi Pass, unlimited PhotoPass downloads, 10% off select merchandise and dining, and 50% off standard parking.

Enchant Key ($974): Enjoy up to four theme park reservations, 25% off Lightning Lane Multi Pass, 10% off select merchandise and dining, and 25% off standard parking.
Imagine Key ($599): Available to Southern California residents (zip codes 90000-93599), this pass allows for up to two theme park reservations. It also includes 25% off Lightning Lane Multi Pass, 10% off select merchandise and dining, and 25% off standard parking.

Disneyland Resort has announced a price increase for Magic Key passes, effective this month. The following table outlines the new prices and the percentage increase for each tier:

Inspire: $1,649 to $1,749 (6% increase)
Believe: $1,249 to $1,374 (10% increase)
Enchant: $849 to $974 (14.7% increase)
Imagine: $499 to $599 (20% increase)

Magic Key sales have been paused and resumed several times throughout 2024. Following a pause in January, sales resumed and three of the four tiers sold out within the first day. Due to overwhelming demand, sales were halted completely the following day. Sales happened again in March and were paused on June 5.

Walt Disney World Vacation Packages for November and December 2025 are now available and with it Disney World Resort has announced another round of price increases, this time targeting 1-day tickets for Magic Kingdom during the peak holiday season in November and December 2025. While other parks will see slight adjustments, Magic Kingdom experiences the most significant hike.

The new price range for 1-day tickets is as follows:

Magic Kingdom: $144 – $199
EPCOT: $129 – $194
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $139 – $194
Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $119 – $174

Notably, Magic Kingdom’s 1-day ticket will reach a peak price of $199 on specific dates, including:

November: 24, 27, and 29
December: 20, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select evenings from November 8 to December 20, 2024, from 7:00 PM to midnight.
