Disneyland Turnstile Remodel Nears Completion

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are installing a new automated turnstile system. Both entrances now have multiple “tapstile” stations for an updated experience for entering the parks.

The new system is not yet up and running but guests can see what the new turnstiles look like. When the system is fully functioning, guests will be able to tap their MagicBand+ or park ticket to a spot on the “tapstile”. Their photo will be taken and then clear doors will open, allowing them to enter the park.

Currently, Cast Members are working at each station to scan guests into the parks manually. This new entry system will be similar to the one installed at Disneyland Paris in 2019.

Construction walls are still up around a section of the entrance to Disney California Adventure while more turnstiles are being removed and more “tapstiles” are being installed.

This automated entry gate project is expected to be complete sometime this year.
