Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort guests can now enjoy a new level of convenience with the Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This exclusive offering provides expedited access to all Lightning Lane attractions, allowing you to maximize your park time.
We will begin piloting the rollout of Lightning Lane Premier Pass to Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resort hotels, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts and other select hotels, for park visits during their stay.
Eligible Guests can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Passes up to 7 days before the first day of their Resort stay—for their entire length of stay (up to 14 days)—starting at 7:00 AM Eastern Time.
Valid Park Admission Required Before you can purchase a Lightning Lane Premier Pass, you must have valid theme park admission. Park reservations may also be required, depending on the type of admission and the date of your visit. Please see theme park reservation requirements.

The Simpsons Funday Football is bringing the Bengals and Cowboys into Springfield for a one-of-a-kind animated Monday Night Football experience on December 9, streaming live on Disney+ and ESPN+. The wildest ride in the wilderness is preparing for a major makeover! Guests at Magic Kingdom will notice a large scrim now in place behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, marking the first visible signs of the upcoming refurbishment. This early preparation hints that Disney is gearing up for an extensive project, as Big Thunder Mountain is set to close on January 6, 2025, for a lengthy overhaul expected to last until 2026.

Disney World’s Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Construction Underway
The holiday season is officially in full swing at Walt Disney World, as construction has begun on the iconic gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Cast members were spotted placing the first shingles on the structure Tuesday, marking the start of this beloved annual tradition.
Currently, the gingerbread house is surrounded by ladders and platforms, allowing Cast Members to reach the top and meticulously piece together this festive masterpiece. While not life-sized, the structure is large enough for a person to enter, and once complete, it will serve as a charming shop where guests can purchase holiday sweets and gifts.
A sign placed in front of the construction barriers teases the gingerbread house’s arrival with a “coming soon” message. An official opening date for this and other gingerbread displays across Walt Disney World Resort hotels has not yet been announced, but their appearance is a sure sign that the holiday season is upon us.

New Mural Complete at DVC Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
As the opening day of the DVC Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort draws near, construction crews continue to make progress. Recent updates include preparations for guest room balconies, a refreshed pool area, and the completion of a stunning turtle mural.
The tribal turtle mural on the right side of the tower is now complete, extending all the way to the building’s base. Previously, it only reached halfway down. Behind the retaining wall, which is still undergoing painting, some electrical equipment has been installed.
To ensure guest safety, wooden boards have been added to the previously bare balconies on the far-right wing. This approach mirrors the initial stage of balcony construction on other wings, where glass panels and themed ironwork were eventually installed.
Little progress has been made on the tower’s entrance overhang this month. At the far left wing, a wooden board has replaced a glass panel on a second-floor balcony, possibly due to damage from Hurricane Milton.
The Wailulu Bar is taking shape, with themed wood slats now adorning the roof. Landscaping work, including the relocation of trees, is also in progress. The pool area looks ready to welcome guests, though construction equipment hints at ongoing work. Moana’s iconic outrigger canoe at the splash pad remains protected from the elements.
