Our Favorite Disney Things – The Cinderella Collection

Cinderella Collection 2

Once upon a time… Cinderella danced into our hearts. She’s one of the most recognizable Disney princesses, and an icon that is synonymous with “Happily Ever After”. It’s only fitting that we pay homage to her next in our princess series of “Our Favorite Disney Things”. There were so many beautiful Cinderella trinket and bauble sit was truly hard to decide on favorites!

Cinderella Collection 1

One of the most famous icons of Cinderella is her glass slipper. Every Cinderella fan should have their very own, and this Glass Slipper from AOSDESIGN is made out of hand-crafted crystal, accented with a .925 silver heart buckle. The silver buckle is even accented with Swarovski Crystals.

Cinderella Collection 3

Of course another recognizable icon from Cinderella is her pumpkin turned carriage to take her to the ball. I fell in love with this Pumpkin Carriage Charm Bracelet from Kashuen. The pendant is inlayed with Swarovski crystals, to shimmer like Blue Fairy magic all night long. Best of all this won’t turn back into a pumpkin at midnight!

Cinderella Collection 4

With the Walt Disney World Marathon starting this week I couldn’t resist choosing a stylish running skirt. The Cinderella inspired Sparkle Running skirt on Etsy by RunningCouture is a dream with of light blue iridescent sparkle fabric, white accents and a white satin bow. These skirts are lightweight and so well made you can even wear them when you aren’t running.

Cinderella Collection 5

I love cross over purses! They are great for every day wear and comfortable for touring the Disney Parks. The Cinderella Small Crossbody Bag from yumage is fabulous! The sleek bag is  made from vintage style Cinderella print fabric with black quilted top. I adore the black color block at the top, because it reminds me of Cinderella’s headband.

Cinderella Collection 6

When we first meet our heroin she’s forced to serve her step mother and step sisters, and wearing a dress of brown and blue with a white apron. I love this retro twist on her dress with the Cinderella Apron from bambinoamore. It’s so well constructed  you can wear it over a plain dress as a costume too!

Cinderella Collection 2

When hitting the parks we can’t go with out ears! Not only are these Pretty Princess Cinderella Mouse Ears by RosieRissaBoutique unique, they also match the Cinderella cross body purse from above! These ears are hand sewn onto the band for extra durability and quality. I love the “Cinderella Blue” satin ribbon touch too! They are just too Bibbity Bobbity CUTE!

Cinderella Collection 7

Accessories can be a princesses best friend, we all know what a glass slipper did for our gal Cindy. There are many glass slipper necklaces out there, and all of them are gorgeous, so this was a hard choice! ILoveCrafty has a Cinderella Glass Slipper Necklace that literally looks like it jumped out of the classic animation. The pendant is laser cut and hand crafted from transparent Crystal Blue perspex. I will for sure be wearing one next time I go to the ball.

Cinderella Collection 8

Finally, we can’t finish off a collection of favorite Cinderella goodies with out shoes! WickedAddiction offers these Cinderella Princess Flats with Swarovski crystals and glitter. If you haven’t guessed by now… I love glitter! Blue glitter reminds me so much of the magic sparkles from the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand. These  glittered heels are ready for the ball with  pearls on the hand painted Pumpkin Coach, Cinderella Castle and “Happily Ever After” around the heels for extra princess glamour.

I hope you enjoyed our favorite Disney things; Cinderella edition! Would any of these enchanting baubles keep you dancing past midnight?

Marjorie Cadet was arrested Saturday in Pembroke Pines, Fl. on two counts of child neglect when she left her child and her niece alone in a Disney Store at a south Florida mall.  The 7 and 10 year old were told by Cadet, 36, to hang out there while she shops.

A Disney employee noticed her children running around the store and contacted mall security to try to find the children’s parents.  The children were brought to security and the police were called, Cadet eventually contacted security and attempted to pick up her kids.

Cadet said she only left the kids alone to change her infants diaper and get the older ones snacks, she wasn’t aware that she was gone for over an hour.

10 Reasons We Love Disney Springs

characters in flight

characters in flight

Disney Springs, former known as Downtown Disney, is a great place to visit for a relaxing day of shopping and dining, or even just a relaxing evening after day at the parks. Now that it is Disney Springs and has so many new locations to check out there is even more to love! Let’s talk about the 10 reasons that we love Disney Springs.

These are in no particular order…

  • No Ticket Needed – Anyone is free to visit Disney Springs! There are no tickets needed, no admission fee, and you can visit just to get your Disney fix even if it’s the only place on Disney property that you visit.
  • It’s Always Christmas – If you travel to Disney Springs by Disney World Transportation the first stop is at the Marketplace and here you will be greeted by a photo opportunity with a snow covered Christmas tree and caroling Disney characters. This is right by the entrance to the Disney Days of Christmas store – here you can browse and purchase all of your holiday needs, even in the middle of summer. Who doesn’t love the winter holidays!
  • Something for Everyone – I know, we say this about the parks all of the time, but it is true of the parks and it is true of Disney Springs. There really is something for everyone. Whether you like motorcycles, dinosaurs, clothes, pins, toys, or just want to get some food you will find something that you like. You can also see a movie or bowl a few frames at Splitsville. There are currently 171 “activities” that include shopping, dining, and entertainment at Disney Springs so you’re bound to like more than one thing, too!
  • Pin Traders – This is my absolute favorite place to shop at Disney Springs. I have a pin problem. If you’re like my family and love to collect pins then you should head over to the Pin Traders shop located in the Marketplace. You can find just about any pin you could want here. Be careful, though, because there is such a HUGE selection you may walk away with more pins than you anticipated.
  • World Class Shopping – There are some amazing places to shop at Disney Springs. The stores range from toy and Disney merchandises locations like Once Upon a Toy and World of Disney to Harley Davidson and Sunglass Hut to Arribas Brothers and The Art of Disney and everything in between. You can design your own t-shirts, pick up some candy, shop for Christmas, stock your pantry with spices, and sample soaps and lotions.
  • Characters in Flight – For a small fee you can board a balloon and take flight high above Disney Springs. Amazing views are in store for you!
  • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – Most Disney World visitors know about the Bibbidi Bobbidi location in Magic Kingdom at Cinderella Castle. However, there is a second location located inside of the World of Disney store! Here Princesses can have the same experience as at Magic Kingdom and reservations are easier to come by at this location.
  • Cirque du Soleil – At Disney Springs you can experience a special Cirque du Soleil show that can only be seen at Disney Springs! Enjoy acrobats, singers, clowns and so much more.
  • Entertainment – There is tons of live entertainments spread throughout Disney Springs. From youth choirs and orchestras to live Irish dancers to bands inside and outside of the restaurants Disney Springs has it all!
  • Dining – There are so many amazing dining locations at Disney Springs that it’s hard to decide on just where you want to eat. Snacks, quick service, and casual as well as upscale table service dining locations are all available. There is something to satisfy every palate. I personally recommend Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop for a snack, Earl of Sandwich for quick service, and Raglan Road for table service. There are also many new dining locations that have helped the area transform from Downtown Disney to Disney Springs. These include Vivoli il Gelato, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, Morimoto Asia, and the Boathouse. More locations are on their way as well!

Did we miss something? Why do you love Disney Springs? Let us know in the comments!

Our Favorite Disney Things – The Aurora Collection

Sleeping Beauty Collection 1
Sleeping Beauty Collection 1

Sleeping Beauty Collection 1

The gentle and loving Aurora, or as many call her Sleeping Beauty is a classic Disney princess with one of the most villainous villains to ever grace the Disney screens Maleficent. She was my favorite princess when I was a little girl, and I’ve always loved the make it blue, make it pink debate. Continuing our “Favorite Disney Things” curated princess collections we’ve put together our favorite Princess Aurora inspired items.

Sleeping Beauty Collection 2

I have to start with this minimalist Sleeping Beauty poster art from forgenerationscrafts, because it really captures the flurry of Flora and Merryweather’s dress color debate. This is Printed on professional matte photo paper, with latex ink. It’s simplistic, but striking and really captures the story.

Sleeping Beauty Collection 3a Sleeping Beauty Collection 3b

No trip to the ball is complete with out the perfect clutch. This Sleeping Beauty Inspired Clutch from Etsy Designer PopGoTheClutches features the sweeping dress neckline of our sweet Aurora it is also double sided with pink AND blue! It has a durable top stitch and there’s even extra options! You can get a wristlet clip, or even add in a credit card organizer. This princess won’t be falling asleep at the party! (They also have other really cute Disney inspired clutches too!)

Sleeping Beauty Collection 4

Where would Aurora be without the Three Good Fairies: Flora, Fauna & Merryweather? Of course we needed to have a little touch of her brave fairy godmothers in the collection! This Sleeping Beauty Fairies Necklace from BijouxetSoirees gives us the magic of our favorite fairies in Swarovski briolettes hinging from a silver leaf branch.

Sleeping Beauty Collection 5

Although we may be a princess we still have to get things done around the house sometimes, but we can at least do it in princess style. I love the fancy aprons inspired by Disney characters that can be found on Etsy. The Retro Sleeping Beauty Apron from loverdoversclothing is by far one of my favorites that I have come across. The added detail of the polka dots makes it POP, and I love the angular upper skirt in the lighter pink.

Sleeping Beauty Collection 6a   Sleeping Beauty Collection 6b

TheLookingGlassShop has beautiful earrings inspired by our sleepy princess in both Pink and Blue! These beautiful crystal earrings feature a gold crown, reminiscent of the iconic one she wears. They are accented by a beautiful cobalt blue or deep pink faceted teardrop. These would also be great for Disneybounding or Cosplaying!

Sleeping Beauty 8

There would be no “sleeping” with out the treacherous Maleficent! Show off the Mistress of Evil with a cute Maleficent Charm Bracelet from GambizzleJewels. The hand sculpted charm adds a little edge to our Aurora collection.

Sleeping Beauty Collection 7

Of course a unique pair of Aurora themed Mouse Ears are a perfect topper for this collection. EarsByLauren captures Aurora’s beauty perfectly with these Make It Pink Make It Blue Ears. The “Ear-Spiration” comes from Aurora’s color changing dress in the movie.

Sleeping Beauty Collection 9

We finish this collection off good footing! Perfectly sparkly Aurora heels from FairytaleMidnight! These Comes as a set of pink but can be made alongside a matching blue shoe since the fairies couldn’t make up their minds about pink or blue! I really love these!

That’s our collection for Aurora, are any of these perfect for your Aurora collection?
