F&G

Springtime is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! The beautiful flowers are in bloom and the weather is wonderful! The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival happens in the Spring, making this season an especially exciting time to visit the resort. This year the Festival is expanding from 75 days to 90 and lasts from March 2 to May 30, 2016.

The Flower and Garden Festival has some exciting features for guests to experience this year. Gorgeous topiaries and gardens, seasonal snacks and dishes, an interactive play area for kids, and an energetic concert series make the Festival a must-do event!

Donald Duck’s mischievous nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie will be making their topiary debut at Epcot’s front entrance along with Donald and Daisy. Also, a Ranger Mickey Mouse topiary will be in Future World for the first time to celebrate the National Parks Service centennial.

Guests will be excited to see the new Floral Sun garden that celebrates the brightest star in Earth’s orbit. Bright yellow “sunbursts” will pop up all across the Future World landscape.

Last year at the Flower & Garden Festival there was a “Cars”-themed play area for kids called the Cactus Road Rally garden. This year your children will love the new “Fab Five” play garden featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck topiaries. The outdoor climbing systems will have musical instruments built in as well.

Don’t forget about the energetic concert series at the festival! The Garden Rocks concert series will feature music that spans four decades.

Will you be attending the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival this year? What are you most excited to see?
