Add a Little Disney to Your Office with a Mickey Seat Back Cushion

Add a Little Disney to Your Office with a Mickey Seat Back Cushion

As a writer I spend a LOT of time sitting in my office chair working on the computer. I love having a cushion on there for comfort, but the usual ones are always so bland and plain. Well, I think I’ve found my perfect office accessory, a Mickey Seat Back CushionAdd a Little Disney to Your Office with a Mickey Seat Back CushionAdd a Little Disney to Your Office with a Mickey Seat Back Cushion!

Mickey Seat Back Cushion

This cushion is adorable, and fits more than just my office chair, it’s good for cars too! The Mickey cushion is made from breathable fabric with a nice thick padding padding for extra comfort. It also has a nice sleek look too! Mickey’s smiling face embossed into the seat back, surrounded by a frame of hidden Mickeys. The even better news is, that’s it’s under twenty bucks on Amazon! I haven’t had any luck finding a Minnie Mouse one, but I’ll be keeping a look out!

Disney World Replaces Bug Spray With Mosquito Wipes in Guest Rooms

Disney World Replaces Bug Spray With Mosquito Wipes in Guest Rooms

Walt Disney World has replaced the bug spray provided in guest rooms with a resealable package of mosquito wipes.

Disney does an amazing job at keeping most of pesky mosquitos away. However, it is impossible to keep them all away and with the risk of the Zika Virus Disney began providing cans of bug spray in their guest rooms at resorts last August.

Now guests will find convenient packages of mosquito wipes to use instead. The package contains 15 wipes and the resealable packaging will make it easy for guests to take the wipes with them to the parks.

What do you think about Disney World using mosquito wipes instead of a traditional bug spray?

Treasures From the Disney Vault Returns to TCM in June

Treasures From the Disney Vault Returns to TCM in June

Turner Classic Movies is offering up it’s usual evening of Disney classics, and the next installment of “Treasures From the Disney Vault” will air Friday, June 2, 2017. Hosted by noted film critic Leonard Maltin, the programming begins at 8pm and continues into the wee hours.

Here is the complete schedule (times ET) of this month’s collection of Disney films and TV shows:

8:00 PM Summer Magic (1963) – When widower Dorothy McGuire is forced to move the family out of their posh Boston home, the eldest daughter (played by Hayley Mills) talks the caretaker (Burl Ives) into letting the family stay at the run-down manor he tends to in Maine for a song. Romantic entanglements and myriad misunderstandings lend humor to his delightful family film, featuring such treasured musical numbers as “Flitterin’,” “Ugly Bug Ball” and the title number, “Summer Magic.”

10:00 PM Pollyanna (1960) – Disney’s treatment of Eleanor Porter story is first-rate, as an orphan (Hayley Mills) spreads cheer to misanthropes of a New England town, including her own Aunt Polly (Jane Wyman).

12:30 AM Mickey’s Polo Team (1936) – Mickey Mouse and his friends battle Hollywood stars in a polo match.

12:45 AM The Horse with the Flying Tail (1960) – A palomino goes through various owners before competing at the Pan American games.

1:45 AM The Tattooed Police Horse (1964) – A horse trained for trotting races, insists on galloping.

2:45 AM Hacksaw (1971) – A young girl sets out to tame a wild horse.

4:30 AM The Horse Without a Head (1963) – Thieves hide stolen loot in a children’s toy.

Do you remember these classic Disney films?

Cannes Media Event for “Cars 3” Cancelled In Response To Manchester Bombing

Cars 3

Cars 3

In response to the deadly bombing in Manchester, England, the champagne reception in Cannes to promote Pixar’s “Cars 3” was cancelled.

“In the wake of last night’s tragic attack, and out of respect for the casualties and all of those impacted, we are not moving forward with today’s promotional activities,” stated a publicist for the event.

The Cannes festival gave its own statement, saying it “would like to express its horror, anger and immense sadness following the attack on the public and the city of Manchester last night.”

It added: “This is yet another attack on culture, youth and joyfulness, on our freedom, generosity and tolerance, all things that the festival and those who make it possible – the artists, professionals and spectators – hold dear. The Festival de Cannes invites all festivalgoers to show their solidarity with the victims, their families and the British people by observing a minute’s silence this Tuesday 23 May at 3pm.”

The suspected suicide bombing attack Monday night claimed the lives of 22 people and injured 59 others at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England.

The “Cars 3” event was to be held in the InterContinental Carlton Cannes Hotel late Tuesday afternoon. Lewis Hamilton, car-racing champion, was scheduled to attend.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families following this horrible tragedy.

Disneyland Sees Capacity Crowds This Past Weekend Resulting in Guests Being Turned Away

Disneyland Fastpass

Disneyland Capacity

Though it may have seemed like just another weekend in May, guests visiting Disneyland theme park this past Saturday and Sunday where surprised to find heaving crowds with many visitors reportedly being turned away at the gates as a result of the park reaching capacity.

So what made May 21st and 22nd such popular dates to be visiting the West Coast Mouse? It was the last weekend for Southern California Resident Passholders to enjoy the park before the Summer blackout dates were implemented.    This resulted in a large swell in crowd levels necessitating a closure.

Guests that were lucky enough to get into Disneyland theme park did not fare much better with 3 hour wait times being reported for key headlining attractions such as Splash Mountain and Space Mountain.

Even with the Summer blackout dates going into affect, crowds are expected to remain consistent into Memorial Day weekend with Guardians of the Galaxy- Mission BREAKOUT! scheduled to open at Disney California Adventure on May 27th.

Are you planning a visit to Disneyland this Summer? There are still fantastic packages to be had.  Fill out our form below to receive your FREE quote.

Say Goodbye to The 3 O’clock Parade at the Magic Kingdom

Festival of Fantasy Parade

3 O'clock parade

Big changes are coming to the Festival of Fantasy Parade at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Starting on August 20, the iconic parade will now begin at 2:00 pm versus it’s traditional 3:00 pm start time. The “3 O’clock Parade” has been a standard at the Magic Kingdom for several years.

The My Disney Experience App has been updated to reflect this time change.

Here is a screenshot from the My Disney Experience App reflecting the start time of the parade as 3:00 pm on August 19:

And, here is a screenshot from the App reflecting the parade starting at 2:00 pm August 20:

No official word has been issued by Disney on why the start time of the parade is being changed. However, this change comes on the heels of rumors circulating that the Paint the Night nighttime parade at Disneyland is packed up and ready to be shipped off to another park. Click here for more on that rumor.

During busier times of the year, including dates around Christmas and Easter, it is not uncommon for the Festival of Fantasy Parade to run twice.

What do you think of this change? Will it change your plans at all? Do you think this change points to a new nighttime parade coming back to the Magic Kingdom?

Pirates of the Caribbean Collection Sets Sail with Kohl’s

Pirates of the Caribbean Collection

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales premieres May 27th, and there’s lots of excitement for the newest pirate tale. To celebrate the debut of the 5th Pirates movie, Disney and Kohl’s have teamed up and launched a Pirates of the Caribbean inspired collection, that embodies the rebellious spirit of  A Pirate’s Life!

Pirates of the Caribbean Collection Sets Sail with Kohl's

The collection is a mix of peasant style off-the-shoulder tops and dresses, with piratey details like tassels, military buttons, flowy fabrics, and lace ups. These edgy styles are perfect for high sailing on the Caribbean sea, or maybe a nice movie out, or a day poolside. The collection features more than just clothes for women, there are also accessories, men’s shirts, girl’s clothing, wall decals, make-up and even cuff-links!

The Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean make-up line is phenomenal, there is a book of shadows, a contour pallet, and several lip stick and gloss sets in a variety of colors.

I personally loved all of the different cuff-links from the men’s collection as well!
