Additional Eastern Caribbean Sailings Aboard the Disney Fantasy Change Itineraries

Several of the Eastern Caribbean ports that the Disney Fantasy frequents were severely damaged by Hurricane Irma. There has been no timeframe as to when these ports will reopen but it’s sounding more and more unlikely that they will reopen by the end of the year.

Disney Cruise Line has been gradually changing Eastern Caribbean Cruises to more of a Western Caribbean itinerary. Today, they have announced two more cruises that that will be changing over to a Western Caribbean itinerary. The 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruises aboard the Fantasy with departure dates of November 18 and December 2 will now have the following itineraries:

  • Port Canaveral, FL
  • At Sea
  • Cozumel, Mexico
  • George Town, Grand Cayman
  • Costa Maya, Mexico
  • At Sea
  • Disney’s Castaway Cay
  • Port Canaveral, FL

It seems like Disney keeps adding about two more sailings to this list per week. If you have a Western Caribbean Cruise planned during the latter part of December and into next year, make sure to keep following along as we will announce if any more changes are coming.

CONFIRMED: New Guardians of the Galaxy Attraction at Epcot Will Be A Roller Coaster

Ever since the announcement was made at D23 earlier this year that Universe of Energy at Epcot would be closing to make way for a new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction, Disney insiders have been speculating that Disney World could be getting its next big roller coaster.

Thrill ride lovers will be pleased to know that an announcement was made at an Epcot 35th Anniversary press event early this week suggesting that this is indeed the case.  During the event, Epcot VP Melissa Valiquette confirmed that the attraction will be a coaster.

 

Disney sources are reporting that permits have been filed for an 11 story building that will house the coaster and that the Universe of Energy building will remain intact but will be updated and used as part of the ride’s queuing area.

The Unicorn Tsum Tsums will feature Minnie Mouse, Marie, Daisy Duck, and Angel dressed up in adorable unicorn costumes. Buttercup from Toy Story, and Rainbow from Inside Out will make their Tsum Tsum debut, as the beautiful unicorns they already are! The Frozen Tsum Tsum set will feature micro Tsums! American Music Machine Preforms for Final Time at Epcot

The a capella group, American Music Machine, has taken their final curtain call at Epcot. Their last performance was held on Saturday, September 30.

The a capella group debuted in 2015 after their genre of singing gained popularity. The performance opened to rave reviews but as most trends do, the hype started to die down. In their prime, they preformed over 30 songs in a show just around 20 minutes long. The group consisted of five rotating cast members for each performance.

Fans looking to still catch some great a cappella music can still catch the iconic Voices of Liberty who preform in the American Adventure Rotunda at Epcot.

Disney has not yet announced something to fill the American Music Machine’s place.

Did someone say donuts? Okay, maybe “I” said donuts, because I am swooning over these absolutely adorable Donut Minnie Mouse Ears by Sophia and Milo on Etsy! These tasty handmade ears are just fabulous!

These ears are nice and plushy, with sparkly sprinkle beads, and a very glittery purple bow. The inside of the headband is lined with velvet so it’s comfy and stays in place. These ears, with a pink frappuccino and a comfy seat on the hub grass makes for a perfect daydream. I love the soft layered design of these ears, plus, who doesn’t love pink donuts? Disney announced earlier this year that as part of the extensive Wilderness Lodge resort refurbishments, the Trout Pass Pool Bar would close permanently to make way for a new poolside salon experience.

Salon by the Springs has officially opened its doors at the former location of Trout Pass and will operate daily from 9am – 4:30pm.  The Salon offers a range of services including manicures, pedicures and hair services.

Bookings can be made at 407. WDW. SPAS and the Salon is open to guests of all ages.

The Hall of Presidents Refurbishment May be Extended

Almost a year ago, Donald Trump won the election to become the 45th President of the United States. Since earlier this year, the Hall of Presidents has been closed in order to add him to the show and also to add other enhancements.

The Walt Disney World website originally stated that the Hall of Presidents would be closed for refurbishments through late 2017, but it appears now that Disney has updated its page to reflect no end date to the refurbishment. Disney has not announced if it will reopen in time for the 1 year anniversary of his election or if it will extend into 2018.

Despite some media reports, it was confirmed by Disney that President Trump will have a speaking role in The Hall of Presidents, like every president since 1993.

The Hall of Presidents Refurbishment May be Extended

The Hall of Presidents, which is located in the Magic Kingdom, is getting a new show, and a complete theater upgrade including a new sound system, lighting and high-definition projection system. The multi-screen viewing experience you may have seen in prior versions of the attraction is returning with an even wider vantage point of our country’s history.

Satu’li Canteen Breakfast Menu Will Only Be Available During Peak Crowd Season

Guests looking to grab breakfast in Pandora are about to be disappointed. Begining back on September 17, the Satu’li Canteen adjusted its operating hours and is now only open from at 10 am. This means that during the Fall and Winter months the breakfast menu is no longer an option and will only be available seasonally (during peak crowds). Lunch service will be available when Satu’li Canteen opens each day. Here’s a quick look at the menu:

The new Pixar movie “Coco” is hitting theaters over Thanksgiving and the Disney Park are already getting ready. A brand new Coco Cupcake is now available at the Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks) on Hollywood Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it is adorable!

It is a Dulce de Leche flavored treat which is made of caramelized milk and sugar and topped with pink and purple frosting. The colors compliment the sugar skull sitting above it all. This sweet treat is available for purchase for $5.99 and is also available as a Snack Credit on the Disney Dining Plans.

Coco will take us on a journey with a little boy named Miguel who by a mysterious chain of events finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. The movie will make its theatrical debut on November 22, 2017.
