Every month the baseball-themed quick service restaurant at Magic Kingdom features a new hot dog of the month, and October’s dog might be my favorite so far! This month’s dog is a beer-braised bratwurst served on a pretzel bun, topped with caramelized onions and whole grain mustard.

Disney’s California Adventure Cast Member Carrie Barnette among those killed in Las Vegas Shooting

Disney Cast Member Carrie Barnette from Southern California was among those killed last night in the Las Vegas shooting. She worked at the waterfront restaurant Pacific Wharf Café in California Adventure.

Barnette graduated from Pacifica High School in the Garden Grove area, and she lived in Riverside, California.

Many of her friends, family, and co-workers are sending thoughts, prayers, and sympathy to her on social media.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Carrie’s family and co-workers at Disney’s California Adventure and everyone affected by this tragedy.

Ahoy Mateys! The latest swashbuckling adventure of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” sails into stores tomorrow, October 3, 2017. Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise can pick up both the DVD and Blu-Ray release and enjoy the antics of Captain Jack Sparrow as he searches for an ancient and powerful artifact, the Trident of Poseidon. I just received my early copy and I’m enjoying all of the special features included.

Jack’s cursed nemesis, Captain Salazar and his fellow ghost pirates, seek to escape from their prison in the depths of the Devil’s Triangle, and of course find their revenge against Jack. Although not my favorite of the franchise it still was enjoyable with its fun cameos, talented cast, all the fun pirate humor with plenty of innuendo laced jokes.

Yes, you read that correct! Guests at the Magic Kingdom can now cool down in the Flordia sun with “All-you-care-to-enjoy” milkshakes at The Plaza Restaurant. By the looks of the sign posted, it also appears that the milkshake flavors will rotate. Most likely, from month to month.

Gossip around Epcot yesterday was that the Yelloween Ball competed too much with the annual Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic. This year the Food & Wine Classic is planned for October 27 and 28 at the newly renovated Swan and Dolphin Resorts.

While it’s not confirmed that the event will or will not be back next year, at this time it looks like 2016 was the last time the Masquerade Ball was held.

I am always looking for fun Disney hair accessories, and I love ones that stand out and set me apart too. Recently I got these super sparkly Disney Character Bows, and I was so impressed! Buns and Braids on Etsy creates Disney character bows that shimmer like diamonds.

These dazzling bows also come with the option of an alligator clip, a headband, or even a key chain clip. The headband honestly impressed me right away, I always have problems with stretchy hair bands rolling out of my hair, or not fitting right. These were very soft, and had a great amount of stretch that fit perfectly, and they didn’t roll out of my hair either! Pictures also don’t do the sparkle power of these justice. The style of these would be great for every day wear, DisneyBounding, or even as an accessory for a day at the Disney Parks.

I wore my Minnie Mouse hairband on my recent trip to Disney, and I wasn’t even at Art of Animation 20 minutes before I had a dozen compliments on it! It was also comfy and I kept forgetting I was even wearing it. I love that you can have them as a hairband, hair clip, or zipper charm. I would love to have a matching hair bow, with lanyard or zipper charm to add to my purse for my Disney outfits.

My favorite part about the glitter is it didn’t shed or fall everywhere, I like glitter don’t get me wrong, but I LOVE when glitter stays where it’s supposed to. The hair bow options come in small, medium and large too. You can check out all of the beautiful Disney options below!

These really are one of my favorite bows I’ve ever tried out. They were not only gorgeous but comfortable too, and that’s always a plus for me! I also loved all the compliments I received while wearing them too.

Disney Reaches Agreement With Large Cable Company

Good news for New York-area pay TV customers, The Walt Disney Company and Altice USA have reached a last minute deal. This new agreement will allow Disney owned channels like ESPN and ABC to continue to be viewed across millions of homes.

We previously reported how Altice (the fourth-largest U.S. cable operator) and Disney were in a heated dispute over how much Altice would pay to continue carrying Disney-owned channels like ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Freeform, Disney Channel and Disney XD.

“We have reached an agreement in principle and have extended the deadline accordingly to try and finalize the terms,” a joint statement from the companies said.

An anonymous source familiar with the talks stated that Disney secured fee increases for ESPN, local affiliate WABC and other major networks. These negotiations were private and the amount of the increases have not been disclosed.

Minnie Van Service Now Offered at All Deluxe Resorts

The Minnie Van transportation service has now been expanded to include all deluxe resorts. The service was first launched on July 31 of this year with limited service offered at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts.

Guests staying at any of the deluxe resorts (Boardwalk Resort, Beach and Yacht Club Resorts, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village Resort, The Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower) can arrange their own private Disney vehicle right from the Lyft app on their smartphone.

The cost for this service is $20 for one-way transportation. This service accommodates up to six guests and provides two versatile car seats so even the tiniest of passengers can travel in style!
