Paddlefish Announces Rooftop Beer Dinner And Thanksgiving Day Menu

Paddlefish Beer Dinner

Located aboard a luxurious steamboat, Paddlefish, the iconic Disney Springs restaurant is inviting guests on board for the second installment of their rooftop dinner series. On Thursday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m., Paddlefish and local Orlando brewery Crooked Can will be serving up a 5-course dinner paired with the perfect pint for each plate.

For Thanksgiving, Paddlefish will be serving up traditional Southern herb roasted turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, brown butter mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and pan gravy. Adults can enjoy this feast for $34 and kids for $17.

The menu for the rooftop beer dinner includes an oyster trio paired with a Mr. Tractor Kolsch Style Ale, steamed clams paired with a High Stepper American IPA, shrimp & chourico gumbo paired with a McSwagger’s Own Amber Ale, and coffee-dusted pork loin and stout-braised Kurobuta pork belly paired with a Freedom Ride Stout. For dessert, Paddlefish will serve up a special spiced apple bread pudding paired with Crooked Can’s Domestic Bliss, a Belgian Golden Strong Ale that has a complex spice character and mild fruitiness to compliment the dish. While dining, guests will be able enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Buena Vista and Disney Springs and take home a Crooked Can pint glass as a souvenir.

The Fall Food Festival takes place at Port Orleans Riverside’s Lobby Courtyard Area on Sunday, October 29th and Monday, October 30th, from 5:00 – 8:00pm.

If Flights of Wonder at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of your favorite attractions at Walt Disney World, you may want to start making plans to see it one last time. Gossip has been circulating that the show will make its final performance at the end of this year.

Flights of Wonder is both entertaining and informative featuring several different species of birds performing for Guests of all ages. One of the main attractions of the show is Guano Joe or Jane—the amusing explorer who fears birds more than a bit. During the course of the show, the trainer introduces you to the fascinating natural behaviors and often humorous talents of at least 20 species of exotic birds.

Flights of Wonder is quite popular with Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Five shows are typically offered throughout the day with most shows completely packed with enthusiastic, bird-watching Guests. So, it comes as a surprise to many that the show may be coming to an end. Rumors suggest that the Caravan Stage where Flights of Wonder is performed will be renovated to make room for a new show to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened on Earth Day 1998 and will celebbrate it’s 20th Anniversay in April.

Spaceship Earth Necklace

Epcot is one of my favorite Disney theme parks. Because of that I love anything Spaceship Earth, it’s always the first ting I think of when I think of Epcot. I love this Spaceship Earth Necklace by SuzyMakesThings because I could always wear Epcot close to my heart.

Spaceship Earth is the most well known icon of Epcot, and I also love the ride within. This round cabochon pendant has an image of the iconic Spaceship Earth design inside. With the rounded glass it really has the three dimensional look of the infamous Spaceship Earth attraction. The pendant comes on a 24 inch chain, so it will hang at a nice length for such a great statement piece. I’m also a fan of their UP! inspired necklaces too!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction update! There are so many changes happening all around Hollywood Studios and we are loving them!

Check out some more photos taken this weekend of the new archway construction at the entrance of Star Wars section coming to Hollywood Studios. This is right next to BaseLine Tap House and near Muppets 3D!

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is set to open in 2019, although no specific dates have been released.

Everything You Need to Know About Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

For those planning a magical visit to Walt Disney World this holiday season, you won’t want to miss Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party held on select evenings. During this time, the Magic Kingdom is transformed into a Winter Wonderland complete with glittering Christmas decorations, dazzling lights, seasonal entertainment and special characters that only come out during the party. And did I mention they make it snow on Main Street?

For guests looking to attend one of this year’s parties, the dates are as follows:

November 9 (sold out), 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 and 28

December 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off nightly at 7 p.m and runs through until midnight. However, guests with a party ticket are able to enter the Magic Kingdom from 4 p.m.

To put you in the festive mood, here are some highlights of this year’s party that you won’t want to miss:

Frozen Holiday

A Frozen Holiday Wish – Kicking off the evening festivities, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna are joined by some of their Frozen friends for a wintry celebration. As a gift to Disney visitors, Elsa uses her ice powers to transform Cinderella Castle into a sparkling ice palace. This event will kick off the Magic Kingdom’s Christmas celebrations and will even be broadcast live on November 9 on the Disney Parks Blog.

Mickey’s Merriest Celebration – (pictured above) During the party the Forecourt Stage also plays host to this fun-filled live show where Mickey rings in the holiday season with some of his pals in this celebration of friendship and music. The festivities include a musical medley of holiday songs both old and new along with castle projections, special effects and much-loved Disney characters including Woody and Jessie from Toy Story, Peter Pan and Snow White.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade – This enchanting holiday parade features dancing gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers, appearances from some of your favorite Disney friends and even an appearance from Santa Claus all taking place under the dazzling lights of Main Street U.S.A.

Club Tinsel – Located inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Tomorrowland, this eatery turned nightclub becomes the coolest place to get down with a DJ and some North Pole pals in the best dance party this side of Santa’s Workshop!

Holiday Wishes Fireworks – There’s no better way to celebrate the spirit of the Christmas season than with this special fireworks show set to holiday tunes, amazing pyrotechnics, and dazzling castle projections.

A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas – Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski and Stitch join host Haley Comet for an intergalactic musical revue at Rockettower Plaza Stage in the heart of Tomorrowland. The show is full of modern twists on classic holiday songs and features some pretty amazing musical numbers.

Santa Claus

Santa Claus is coming to town! – When he’s not stealing the show at “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade,” Santa drops in on the Town Square Courtyard near City Hall over on Main Street, U.S.A. Be sure to bring your Christmas wish-list and be prepared to tell Santa whether you’ve been naughty or nice!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is also the perfect time for guests to enjoy complimentary snacks available at select locations throughout the parks and cozy up to some of your much-loved Disney pals with special meet and greet opportunities.
