JALEO

Next door to the quickly disappearing Disney Quest, Jaleo a concept by world-renowned Chef José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup, is getting closer to completion. Announced in June, it will bring the spirit and flavors of Spain, with an extensive menu of tapas that reflect the rich regional diversity of traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine.

On our tour of Disney Springs this weekend we checked out its progress and grabbed photos to share with all of our readers.

With five locations in the United States and Mexico City, this will be the first location in Florida. The first floor of the multi-level restaurant will feature a “grab-n-go” storefront with Spanish-style sandwiches.

Chef José Andrés is proud to announce that Jaleo will be opening a new location at Disney Springs in 2018, bringing the spirit and flavors of Spain to the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The new Disney Springs location will be José’s biggest and most spectacular Jaleo yet, housed in a dynamic, multi-level space at the iconic resort.

Jaleo at Disney Springs will feature an extensive menu of tapas reflecting the rich regional diversity of traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine. Highlights will include a variety of authentic paellas cooked over a wood fire, Spanish specialties such as hand-carved Jamón Ibérico de Bellota and wood-grilled Ibérico pork, as well as signature dishes such as Gambas al ajillo, shrimp sautéed with garlic and chili, and Croquetas de Pollo, classic Spanish chicken fritters.

New Concept Art For Sunset Seasons Greetings at Hollywood Studios Released

Concept art released by Disney gives guests a sneak peak at what they can expect to see as part of Sunset Seasons Greetings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This new concept shows a sample of the projection mapping Disney will be using to transform the Hollywood Tower Hotel into a Toy Hotel thanks to Toy Story theming.

In this photo we see the Hollywood Tower Hotel wrapped in holiday paper as, according to Disney, Buzz, Woody and the gang try to guess what new toys are coming for Christmas. This is just one of the projections that will delight guests at Hollywood Studios this holiday season!

Sunset Seasons Greetings will debut on November 9th.

Mobile Stage is Up and Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away is Back at Hollywood Studios

Earlier this Fall, Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed their Star Wars Glaxay Far, Far Away show to work on teething problems to the mobile stage that was brought in especially for the production. The mobile stage was intended to allow bring the stage out for the Star Wars performances taking place during the day and then remove the stage in the evening to provide a larger open space for guests to view the evening fireworks displays.

We are pleased to announce that the mobile stage is now officially up and running and here’s a peek at the new layout:

Here is also a video that shows the current layout of the mobile stage a bit more in-depth.

Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away is now back on its regular schedule and with performances running daily at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30 most days. The show is a must-do for Star Wars fans as Rey, Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, BB-8, Darth Maul and more take to the stage to recreate scenes from the movies using a series of action-packed vignettes.

Photos: Wine Bar George Construction Update from Disney Springs

Wine Bar George is an estate-style wine bar named for Master Sommelier George Milliotes. The wine bar will offer more than 100 wine selections (well known and up-and-coming) handpicked by Miliotes himself, along with a selection of shareable plates to be paired with their extensive wine list.

The wine bar is located in Disney Springs near The Boathouse and Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Chip and Co. has been keeping up to date on the construction progress and we have some new photos, as well as a new video of the wine bar’s current state. Check out the photos and video below:

Roaring Fork is Serving Up Some Tasty Menu Items at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

The Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge reopened the end of this summer after receiving a few updates and improvements. Located in the main building with patio seating near Copper Creek Springs pool area, Roaring Fork it’s a convenient stop for quick service breakfast, lunch or dinner. Chip and Co. recently got an up close and tasty look at some of the new menu items.

Lunch and dinner selections are served from 11:00am to midnight each day. The new menu features Chef Michael Bersell’s Brisket Burger with cheddar, cranberry barbecue sauce, cast-iron onions and frisée served on a sweet brioche bun. Other lunch favorites include Grilled Chicken on Focaccia with roasted peppers and fresh mozzarella and Gourmet Grilled Cheese featuring cheddar, arugula, tomato and onion jam on multi-grain bread.

The popular Flatbreads are back at Roaring Fork and two new options have been added to the menu. Guests can choose between Fennel Sausage and Pepperoni with caramelized onion and goat cheese or an Asiago Grilled Chicken topped with peppers and onions.

Three New Dining Locations Announced For Disney Springs

As we announced previously interconnected dining concepts, all located in one complex, are being created for Disney Springs by the Patina Restaurant Group. “The Edison” and “Maria & Enzo’s” have previously been announced. We know now the names of two more dining locations, “Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar” and “Pizza Ponte”.

Nick Valenti, CEO of Patina Restaurant Group (PRG), confirmed plans to open three new modern Italian restaurant and bar concepts at Disney Springs this winter. “I’m delighted to announce that we will be opening a trattoria named Maria & Enzo’s, as well as Enzo’s Hideaway, a separate restaurant in what were said to be rum-running tunnels, which is destined to become a local favorite,” said Valenti. “They are inspired by the cuisines of Sicily and Rome, the Italian family, and the best of Italian modern cooking.”

The new concepts tie into the Disney Springs storyline of a restored Florida waterfront town. “Our inspiration is to bring unforgettable food and wine from Italy to Florida, with the stunning scenery you only find at Disney,” said Valenti.

Maria & Enzo’s – an Italian trattoria set in the town’s storied abandoned airline terminal from the 1930s, now transformed into a restaurant. The dining room is open and airy, featuring 50-foot ceilings with views of Lake Buena Vista. The restaurant interiors showcase artifacts that reference air travel of the time, with maps and historic flight paths. The menu is inspired by Sicily, with a range of family-friendly dishes – Arancini di Carne (rice balls stuffed with meat), Melanzane Parmigiana (eggplant Parmesan) – and handmade pastas – Busiate con Granchio (spiral pasta with crab), ‘Ncasciata al Forno (Sicilian baked pasta) – served tableside. Other highlights include fresh fish, richly flavored steaks and chops.

Enzo’s Hideaway is a speakeasy inspired by Roman aperitivo bars, located in the storied rum-runner tunnels that adjoin Maria & Enzo’s. Inspired by Florida’s true history of rum running, Enzo’s Hideaway will pour Prohibition-era cocktails at its Tunnel Bar and serve a casual menu of hearty Roman dishes, such as the city’s legendary Bucatini alla Carbonara (hollow spaghetti with creamy egg and pancetta sauce) and Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe (square-cut spaghetti with pecorino and black pepper).

Pizza Ponte is a fast-casual concept and the perfect place for a quick bite serving pastries, pizza, Italian sandwiches, and espresso. Pastry specialties include Bomboloni (Italian doughnuts) Sfoglia di Riso (pastry with rice cream) and Tiramisu. Savory items include signature Triangolo (stuffed pizza bread) sandwiches, Porchetta (roast pork) and Pizza al Taglio, Sicilian-style pizza by the slice.

Both of these restaurants, along with Maria & Enzo’s, is scheduled to open this winter but no exact date has been announced yet.

Halloween Happenings at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside

Tomorrow is Halloween and guests staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, at the Walt Disney World Resort, will have the chance to take part in Halloween activities around the hotel. The special Halloween activities are around just for tomorrow, October 31st

Poolside Activities –

Over at Ol’ Man Island Pool, guests can partake in the Ol’ Man Island Ghoul Party. The party is free to attend and begins at 3:30 p.m. Also located at the resort pool is Mickey Tie-Dye, for a small fee guests can tie-dye at 2:30 p.m.

Boo: On the Bayou –

Boo: On the Bayou will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the courtyard near the resort’s lobby. Activities will include themed treat stations and a Slime Lab where you can create your own slime souvenir for a small fee. The themed treat stations are free and will continue around Ol’ Man Island.

Happy HallowGLOW Party –

Between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. the courtyard near the resort lobby will light up with ghoulish delight! Guests are invited to enjoy bright lights, dancing, prizes, games, and more at the Happy HallowGLOW Party.

Spooks, S’mores and More –

Guests are invited to wrap up their night of Halloween fun with a complimentary marshmallow roasting at the campfire pit on Ol’ Man Island. The campfire fun will run from 9:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Chip stopped by Beverly Sunset Shop in the Sunset Boulevard area of Hollywood Studios this past weekend and came across all the sweet and savory flavors of popcorn available at Walt Disney World. With flavors ranging from the simpleness of Cheddar Popcorn to the adventurous Sriracha Kettle Corn, there is bound to be a flavor to please everyone’s taste buds!

Live With Kelly And Ryan Halloween Week Line Up Is Jam Packed With Fun

Live with Kelly and Ryan has a jam packed Halloween week line up October 30-November 3. Here are some of the guests and segments you can expect to see.

On Monday, October 30th Chris Hemsworth discusses the film “Thor: Ragnarok,” while “Stranger
Things” star Millie Bobby Brown makes her debut appearance on “Live.” You’ll also see Kelly and Ryan
try some “extreme pumpkin carving” with author and pumpkin carver Tom Nardone.

The bar will be raised this Halloween (Tuesday, October 31st) with “Kelly and Ryan’s Best
Halloween Show Ever: Look What You Made Us Do.” The hosts take on 2017’s most buzzed-about
figures in pop culture and entertainment, with more than 70 costumes featured throughout the hour.
They will also chat with Andy Cohen and HGTV’s Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott. “The
Bachelor” host Chris Harrison makes a special cameo appearance. While comedian and digital
creator Colleen Ballinger brings her “Miranda Sings” alter ego to the party. “Live’s
Annual Halloween Costume Contest” will close out the show with studio audience members walking
away with $10,000 in prizes.

Wednesday, November 1st will bring Derek Hough who performs for the “Live”
audience while wildlife expert Peter Gros has some exotic animals in the studio. In addition,
Kelly and Ryan announce the winner of “Live’s Homemade Halloween Costume Contest.”

On Thursday, November 2nd Kate Hudson talks about the book “Pretty Fun,” and Kelly and Ryan get the
flu shot from Dr. Greg Yapalater.

Kelly and Ryan close out the week on Friday, November 3rd with country star Blake Shelton, who also performs for the“Live” audience. “This Is Us” star, Justin Hartley joins the hosts to speak about the series. Plus, UFC Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk shows Kelly and Ryan some moves.
