Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party dates for 2018 for August are the 17th, 24th, 28th and 31st. September dates include the 3rd, 7th, 9th, 11th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th and the 30th. October dates are the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 26th, 28th, 30th and the 31st.

Enjoy favorites such as the Hocus Pocus Villian Spectacular featuring the Sanderson Sisters, the Boo to You Parade and the Happy HalloWishes Fireworks Show. Guests will have the opportunity to trick or treat around the Magic Kingdom park, meet iconic Disney characters and attend the Scream-o-ween Dance Party!

Wine Bar George Construction Update

Wine Bar George is slated to be open this spring and from the looks of it, is right on time. The new sign is currently up and the building is looking nearing completion.

The 6000 sq. ft. wine bar is located in The Landing, next to Raglan Road.

Wine Bar George is described as an estate-style wine bar, named for Master Sommelier George Miliotes. The wine bar will offer more than 100 wine selections (well known and up-and-coming) handpicked by Miliotes himself. They will also offer a selection of shareable plates to be paired with their wine list.

New Americana and Stitch MagicBands have popped up! These new bands are available on the shopDisney website, and ready to unlock the magic of Walt Disney World on your next vacation.

Stitch MagicBand 2

Stitch is feisty as he clings onto the side of this blue MagicBand. He’s been a little mischievous and left drawings and doodles all over, the other side even has “Stitch wuz here scrawled across”. This band is an open edition band that is available for $22.99.

Mickey Mouse American Legend MagicBand 2 – Limited Release

This whimsical new MagicBand features Mickey with an Americana flair. This Mickey band is designed with the rare white MagicBand color, and red and blue graphics. The band has Mickey Mouse with a flag badge that says American Legend, with Mickey’s name star spangled below. The back of the band has the castle in line art, with sprinkles of dots, and Mickey icons. This is a limited release band, and is available for $27.99.

BREAKING NEWS: Fast Passes For Toy Story Land Are Now Open

Toy Story Land is scheduled to open June 30th and guests staying at Walt Disney World resorts during this time can now grab Toy Story Land fast passes for their trip!

Fast pass selections can be made 60 days prior to arrival. Guests who are in that window for Disney resort check-in are able to choose one fast pass for Toy Story Land attractions (Slinky Dog Dash, Swirling Alien Saucers and the newly designed Toy Story Mania!), plus two additional passes for attractions such as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Featuring Aerosmith and many more.

Also, starting July 1st, Hollywood Studios will operate on extended hours from 8:00 am to 10:30 pm each day for a limited time. Even more Extra Magic Hours will be available as well giving guests lots of opportunities to check out the brand new Toy Story Land.

Update: Hollywood Studios Gondola Construction Update

The Disney Skyliner is shaping up to be an amazing new way to travel between select resorts and parks during your Walt Disney World stay. Announced last summer, this new gondola transportation system will take guests into the sky for a bird’s eye view.

Construction on the section at Hollywood Studios park is progressing. The towers that will hold the gondolas are now up around the parking areas.

The Disney Skyliner will connect Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Art of Animation Resort and Pop Century Resort to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The new Disney Vacation Club Riviera Resort, which is being constructed, will also be connected to the Skyliner system. This will be a major benefit of staying at one of these Disney resorts.

Work is continuing to progress at the shared Pop Century / Art of Animation Resort Skyliner station. The Disney Skyliner will be the newest transportation option for guests providing a gondola lift system that will connect multiple points across the Walt Disney World property. This is especially exciting to both Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts in the Value category as they rely solely on bus transportation to and from the parks.

We stopped by this weekend to check on the construction progress being made. We found this great piece of concept art displayed of the future Skyliner station. It will be located on the Generation Gap bridge in between the two resorts.
