Attention all you poutine lovers, the month of March is bringing back this Irish themed treat just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you’re Irish or not, the Irish Stout Poutine is a dish to be enjoyed by all!

For anyone unfamiliar with poutine the traditional version was created in Canada and consists of french fries topped with cheese curds and brown gravy. The poutine trend has since taken off and places such as The Daily Poutine, located in Disney Springs, now offers up flavorful twists on the classic version.

Siemens Sponsorship Removal in Progress at Spaceship Earth

Siemens Corporation, who is the official corporate sponsor of Disney Parks and more specifically Spaceship Earth and Illuminations at Epcot, announced last June that they will not be renewing their contract with Disney. And it looks like the removal of the sponsor has officially begun.

The Siemens sign remains up at the main entrance to Spaceship Earth, but on one side, the name has been removed from the Project Tomorrow sign. The Siemens name has also been removed from the Epcot times guide.

Siemens has been a sponsor of Disney Parks for the past ten years.

Across the globe, Siemens also sponsors it’s a small world at Disneyland in California. Sylvania, whose parent company is Siemens, used to sponsor the Osborne Family Light Show at Hollywood Studios and also their technology was used to construct the popular Radiator Springs Racers attraction at California Adventure in Disneyland among others.

The question now is, “What will happen with Spaceship Earth?” As we recently reported, we were thinking that Siemens would renew their contract and give Spaceship Earth a much-needed refurbishment. Now, with this news coming out it’s unsure what will happen with this iconic attraction. Interestingly enough, this will be the first time Spaceship Earth does not have a corporate sponsor.

During this evening’s Oscar Awards, the first trailer for “Mary Poppins Returns” was revealed! “Mary Poppins Returns” is an all new sequel with a fresh sensibility that celebrates the spirit of the original. In the film, which hits U.S. theaters this Christmas 2018, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives.

“Mary Poppins Returns” stars: Emily Blunt as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure; Lin-Manuel Miranda as her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London; Ben Whishaw as Michael Banks; Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks; and Julie Walters as the Banks’ housekeeper Ellen; with Colin Firth as Fidelity Fiduciary Bank’s William Weatherall Wilkins; and Meryl Streep as Mary’s eccentric cousin, Topsy. The film also introduces three new Banks’ children played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh, and newcomer Joel Dawson. Angela Lansbury appears as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the PL Travers books and Dick Van Dyke is Mr. Dawes Jr., the retired chairman of the bank now run by Firth’s character.

David Ogden Stiers, the Voice of Cogsworth, Has Passed Away

David Ogden Stiers

David Ogden Stiers, who brought to life several of our favorite Disney characters, has passed away at the age of 75.

According to a tweet from MKS Talent Agency, Stiers passed away “peacefully at his home in Newport, Oregon after a courageous battle with bladder cancer.”

While Stiers is widely known for his performance as Winchester in “M*A*S*H,” he had a long career in the industry.

Disney fans would recognize Stiers as the voice of Cogsworth from “Beauty and the Beast,” Jumba from “Lilo & Stitch,” Governor Ratcliffe / Wiggins from “Pocahontas” and Archdeacon from “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” to name a few of many characters he portrayed.

Our sympathies go out to those who knew him.

The new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill construction is underway and we were able to catch a glimpse of the progress. Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe closed its doors at Disney Springs this past August and in its place will be the newly designed Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill.

We stopped by Hollywood Studios and couldn’t help noticing the progress being made at the future gondola station for the park. Disney Skyliner, the newest transportation solution being built across Walt Disney World, will have five different stops.

It will connect EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Riviera Resort (DVC), Caribbean Beach Resort, and a final stop at the Generation Gap bridge that connects Art of Animation and Pop Century.

The plot of land pictured is the area between the walkway from Boardwalk Inn and the bus drop off area of Hollywood Studios, with the side bordered by the Friendship Boat waterway.

Annual Passholders Receive Wristband for Garden Rocks Concert Series at Epcot

Rekindle your love of rock classics while taking in gorgeous waterfront views at the Garden Rocks Concert Series only at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival!

This year, Annual Passholders can receive their wristbands for the show inside between Club Cool and the Character Spot. Disney is handing them out at the AP Counter where you get the AP Magnet.
