Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort Promises Fun for All!

Halloween Time is in full effect at Disneyland Resort! Disney Parks Blog photographer, Joshua Sudock, just took a walk around both parks to show us all the magic to be had. Take a look at all the magic that is to be had!

Sudock stated, “I always enjoy photographing the Partners Statue and Sleeping Beauty Castle during the day’s transition lighting (dawn and dusk). The addition of jack-o-lanterns and orange/yellow flowers makes this a great spot for fun family photos.”

Not only does 2018 mark the 25th anniversary of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” but also the 18th time that Jack Skellington has visited the 999 Happy Haunts who dwell in the Haunted Mansion during Halloween Time, transforming this attraction into Haunted Mansion Holiday. This year’s gingerbread house is absolutely astounding – complete with a giant, animated, gingerbread spider!

For the first time at the Disneyland Resort, popular Disney Junior star Vampirina is available for photos and autographs. Vampirina, also known as “Vee,” brings the spooky fun with her wherever she goes, including Disney California Adventure park. Watching our younger guests light up when they see their favorite little vampire pal is the simply sweetest thing.

Oh, Cadillac Ridge in Cars Land. It’s a spectacular sight year-round, but, man, she’s lit beautifully for Halloween Time.

The Headless Horseman statue along Buena Vista Street looks great in daylight, but the lights and smoke really pop after dark.

Work is Coming Along to the New 15-story Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

As we’ve been reporting throughout 2018, visitors to Coronado Springs Resort will notice quite a hefty bit of construction as changes are made to dramatically transform the lakefront area of the property as well as construct a new resort tower! The development of the tower at Coronado has had us here at Chip and Co very excited as this new 15 story addition to this much-loved moderate resort will feature 500 new guestrooms, a boardroom, and rooftop dining with fireworks views. The property will sit alongside the beautiful Lago Dorado where many guests will be able to enjoy water views.

Our roving reporter popped by the property this week and had these exciting images to share of the progress of the tower’s construction.

As you can see from this fantastic shot and the one at the top of the article, the tower is really taking shape with the 15 magnificent floors and the top dining area starting to be recognizable.

We love the curvature of the tower and can start to see how it will fit into the existing Southwestern theming of Coronado Springs.

Signage located throughout the property gives visitors a sense of what the tower will look like upon completion as well as another project we updated you on earlier today- the new lakefront restaurant currently under construction.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt announced the official wrap of Disney’s Jungle Cruise movie filming with a quick sweet video. With cute banter between the two stars and a big thank you to the cast and crew, Johnson declares “Walt this one is for you!”, the crowd shouts “To Jungle Cruise” and hats are tossed high in the air.

The film is based on the classic theme park attraction, which operates in several Disney Parks across the globe and takes guests on a guided tour through the rivers of the world the Nile, the Congo and the Amazon.

This film will mark the third time that Blunt has collaborated with Disney. Her previous projects include “Into the Woods” and the upcoming “Mary Poppins Returns” where she stars as the title character.

The Jungle Cruise is set for release on October 11, 2019, by Walt Disney Pictures.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular returns this fall on September 22! Guests of all ages can join everyone’s favorite furry friends from Sesame Street as The Count, Elmo, Abby and others take the stage in “Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween.” Families will also enjoy a Halloween Dance Party and meet whimsical characters inspired by the sea. For this special event, children can dress in their Halloween costumes and take part in fun-filled trick-or-treating in the park.

The daytime Halloween fun takes place every Saturday and Sunday starting September 22 through October 28, 2018 and is included with park admission. Event hours are 11 a.m. to park close.

· Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween

Celebrate a Spooktacular Halloween at SeaWorld with The Count, Elmo, Abby, and the rest of your Sesame Street friends! DVC Mickey Mouse Ears Are The Perfect Welcome Home

This fun new ear hat features the classic Mickey Mouse Ear hat style, with a classic Mickey appliqué. The Mickey design shows him ready for adventure with his trusty binoculars, and guide book in hand. The dome part of the ht is a soft cream, with silhouettes of Disney Vacation Club resorts. The ears say “WELCOME” and “HOME”, and the hat even has a band that reads “Disney Vacation Club member”.

Construction Update for Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Coming to Disney Springs

Construction continues on the new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Disney Springs. With the restaurant scheduled to open later this year, we stopped by to check on how things are going on our last visit to Disney Springs. Since the construction walls are still up, it’s hard to see exactly what is going on, but we can see the height of the building and the concept art of what the restaurant will look like once open.

The new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is being built across from Planet Hollywood and beside the Coca-Cola Store. This restaurant will highlight some of Austrian chef Wolfgang Puck’s famous signature dishes. He has restaurant and bar locations across the globe including Beverly Hills, California, London, England, Bahrain and Singapore.
