2020 Walt Disney World Vacation Packages Going On Sale June 18th

The wait is almost over! Walt Disney World Resort 2020 packages will be released on June 18th, 2019! Guests have been eagerly awaiting to hear when the pricing would be released and this morning Disney made the official announcement.

These packages will be valid for arrivals January 1 – December 31, 2020. It’s important to note that the last date of your vacation cannot be booked more than 499 days in the future.

Hamm’s Sweet ′N Tart Cookie At Hollywood Studios

Disney parks have been gearing up for Toy Story 4 with some fun new treats! The most recent one spotted is Hamm’s Sweet ′n Tart Cookie at Hollywood Studios.

This cookie is both as cute as it is angry. Very reminiscent of Evil Dr. Pork Chop from the movies itself! It’s a nice surprise that this new snack is based on one of the classic Toy Story characters that we don’t see too often in the parks.

Of course, as many new snacks go this one is perfect for the gram.

The Hamm’s Sweet ′n Tart Cookie is a shortbread cookie that’s covered in a white chocolate ganache that’s pink in color. The cookie is then filled with a sour cherry filling and decorated with a fondant pig nose. As the name suggests, the white chocolate makes it very sweet but the sour cherry filling gives it a tart quality. This cookie was certainly more on the sweet side overall. There wasn’t a lot of the sour cherry filling, so the tart aspect of the cookie was subtle.

If you plan to get this snack, make sure to grab some napkins! In the Florida summer heat, the white chocolate ganache becomes soft quick!

The Hamm’s Sweet ′n Tart Cookie at Hollywood Studios can be found at the Trolley Car Cafe. To many, this cafe is simply known as the parks Starbucks location! The cookies are located in the grab n go cooler of the cafe. This tasty treat retails at $5.79 before tax and is eligible as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

The R2-D2 Light-up Cup Is The Souvenir We’ve Been Looking For

The cuteness of Droid merchandise from the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is just too cute! There is even a R2-D2 Light-up Cup, that even beeps and bloops. You can find this cutey at locations in Disneyland outside of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

This fun R2-D2 cup lights up in red and blue, and makes a series of bleeps and bloops just like in the movies!

The horizon of Galaxy’s Edge surrounds the bottom of this cup. A silhouette of Artoo with a graphic of the sky of Batuu and the Millennium Falcon soaring past inside stands boldly on the front. The cup is topped off with a molded lid that looks just like R2-D2’s head. When you press the top the show begins with all the lights and sounds. The cup retails for $24.99, and can be found at Disneyland now, and at Walt Disney World when Galaxy’s Edge opens in August! If you’re a big fan of Droids, be sure to check out all of the awesome R2-D2 and BB-8 finds at the Droid Depot.

List of Ongoing Renovations at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris has released its list of ongoing renovations at both Disneyland Paris parks from now until the end of September 2019. Many of the attractions below are being renovated, however, as part of the exciting new expansion plans for Walt Disney Studios, some attractions in the park are permanently closed. Don’t forget that the beloved attraction The Phantom Manor is now open after a long period of renovation! Watch Simba take his place as king in this new sneak peek of Disney’s “The Lion King,” featuring the voice of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala.

Disney’s “The Lion King,” directed by Jon Favreau (“The Jungle Book”), journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

Staying true to the classic story, director Jon Favreau utilizes pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring the iconic characters to the big screen in a whole new way. Featuring the voices of Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon, Disney’s “The Lion King” opens in U.S. theaters on July 19, 2019.

ABC Commissary Has Reopened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

ABC Commissary Has Reopened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The popular quick service dining location was closed on April 28th and was set to reopen June 1st.

Let’s check out the commissary’s update!

The main entrance to ABC Commissary can be found to the left of the Chinese Theater.

Once you enter the restaurant you are directed to the quick service counter where you can order food and beverages for you and your party.

Inside the glass cases of the entry way various popular outfits and items from celebrities and characters are showcased for guests to see. These items are swapped out on occasion, usually seasonally, so be sure to check them out each time you revisit the ABC Commissary.

After ordering and receiving your food from the quick service counter, you can find a table in either of the interior dining rooms, as well as several outdoor seating areas for ABC Commissary. Take a look at the updated dining room, located on the left side of the restaurant.

ABC Commissary now offers Dining Reservations starting at 4pm each night. Guests will order food at the counter and receive a pager. When your order is ready a Cast Member will deliver your food directly to your table. Lunch (before 4pm) will still be serviced at the counter after your food is ordered, so be sure to wait for your food before finding a table.

Snow White Live Action Film In the Works

There is a live action Snow White in the works. Marc Webb, the filmmaker behind the Amazing Spiderman films has been reportedly direct the Disney classic.

Disney released its classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 as its first animated feature film. Based on the Brothers Grimm fairytale, it was a big success for the studio and won an honorary Oscar at the 11th Academy Awards. Disney is coming off of its live-action remake of Aladdin, which opened to an impressive $113 million over Memorial Day weekend, and it has Jon Favreau’s live-action The Lion King remake due out in July.

A Magical Holiday Season is Coming to Walt Disney World in 2019

A magical holiday season is coming to Walt Disney World in 2019. You will not want to miss all of the exciting new things coming to every park and Disney Springs!

At the Magic Kingdom, there will be an all-new fireworks show during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This all-new show, called Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, will be able to be viewed and enjoyed throughout the park! It will feature beloved holiday medleys including “Joy to the World”, “Up on the Housetop” and more.

Along with the new fireworks show, guests at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party can enjoy Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Stage Show. Don’t forget to check out A Frozen Holiday Wish stage show, as Queen Elsa transforms Cinderella Castle to sparkle with ice.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place on select nights from November 8 – December 22, 2019.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there will be holiday festivities at this park for the first time! Starting on November 8, 2019, guests can enjoy all-new holiday festivities all day long!

During the day, join in a celebration of winter on Discovery Island with life-sized animal puppets and the villagers who call the island their home. In the evening, look for the beautiful animal-shaped rooftop luminaries and bird lanterns throughout Discovery Island.

There will also be a new addition to the Tree of Life Awakenings, with wintry tales and a new holiday musical score.

At Epcot, the Candlelight Processional is a popular event that takes place during the Epcot Internation Festival of the Holidays. This year, the special event will take place from November 29 – December 30. The line-up of confirmed narrators to-date is now available and dining packages will also be available to book, starting on July 3.

During the festival, guests can enjoy all kinds of holiday fun as they taste cuisine from special holiday kitchens, enjoy entertainment and storytellers from each of the different countries and learn about each country’s holiday heritage. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be seeing guests at the American Pavilion. Special merchandise will also be available for purchase. In addition, Chip and Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree Scavenger Hunt will be available for guests to complete and get a special holiday surprise.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will feature special holiday shows, delightful decor and more! You will not want to miss the Sunset Seasons Greetings show. This show features projections on the Hollywood Tower Hotel, laser effects, and “snow” combined with music, stories and your favorite Disney friends!

The holiday nighttime spectacular, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” includes fireworks, holiday music, and amazing projections at the iconic Chinese Theater.

You won’t want to miss For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong to see Olaf give the special holiday finale! Then, of course, head over to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to find the perfect holiday gift for the Star Wars fan in your life!

If you are heading over to Disney Springs during the holiday season, you will not want to miss the popular Christmas Tree Trail, This holiday trail is filled with custom-decorated holiday trees. Disneyland is celebrating the Haunted Mansion’s 50th Anniversary with a swinging wake! The under-the-hill soiree filled with chills, thrills, frightful fun, and of course exclusive Haunted Mansion merchandise. There will even be a gorgeous 50th Anniversary Haunted Mansion Dooney & Bourke collection to commemorate the grim occasion.

The Haunted Mansion Dooneys will debut as part of the event taking place August 7 – 8, and August 8 – 9, 2019, with limited quantities available based on the edition size at merchandise locations subsequent to the event. New Mangonada Smoothie at Schmoozies! in DCA

Disney California Adventure Park has a lot to choose from when it comes to refreshments, both alcoholic and non. Schmoozies! is always blending up some great limited time offerings, like their new Mangonada Smoothie!

The Mangonada Smoothie is a play on the sweet and spicy michelada, which is made with alcohol, but this smoothie is something all ages can enjoy. This blended treat is a mango smoothie base with chamoy sauce, fresh mango pieces, and topped with chile candy. Guests can also enjoy a Sandianada Smoothie, made with a watermelon smoothie base and fresh watermelon pieces. Both are only $7.49.

If your taste buds aren’t ready for something sweet and spicy, go for something sweet and sweeter. Other items on their seasonal menu are the new Sorcerer Mickey Shake and the LemonBlueberryMagic donut. Both of these items are in celebration of DCA‘s arrival of Mickey’s PhilharMagic! Schmoozies! offers seasonal lemonades as well. You will have to ask a Schmoozies! cast member for the daily featured lemonade.

For guests spending all day at the parks and doing some serious park hopping, a pick-me-up might be necessary. This quick service spot has got plenty of coffee drinks and espresso just for you. Try a Make Mine Mocha blended coffee drink or go all in with an Espresso. Make ours a double, please!

Marvel Studios Seeking Keanu Reeves For Role in ‘The Eternals’

Marvel Studios Seeking Keanu Reeves For Role in ‘The Eternals‘. Should Keanu sign-on to star in The Eternals, Reeves would be joining Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, and Richard Madden, but his potential role in the film is currently unknown.

Keanu Reeves‘ role is not the only mystery surrounding this film. Even avid Marvel Comic Book fans were scratching their heads at the announcement of The Eternals film that is currently in pre-production.

“You’re reaction about not being familiar with the Eternals is perfect, because most people weren’t familiar with Guardians [of the Galaxy] and believe it or not there were people that were not familiar with Avengers or with Iron Man,” Feige says. “So for us, its finding great stories whether people have heard of them or not and bring them to the big screen in as amazing a ways as we can.”

Feige discussed The Eternals again during a promo for Captain Marvel stating, “Eternals are one group, but we like the idea of introducing an ensemble, doing an ensemble movie from the start, as opposed to building up as we did with the first Avengers. More like Guardians, not tonally, but in terms of introducing a new group of people,” he said to Collider. “You were asking about ’60s, and ’70s before. Jack Kirby did an immense, amazing epic with Eternals that spans tens of thousands of years, and that’s also something we haven’t really done, which is why that among many other things post-Endgame, we find appealing.”

Marvel Studios has not stated if or when The Eternals will take place in the timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since the stories surrounding the characters from Eternals Comics span tens of thousands of years.
