A new Carousel Cupcake is spinning into Walt Disney World Resort! The beautiful new cupcake has graced our presence at the Gasparilla Island Grill at the Grand Floridian Resort.
The new Carousel Cupcake has a less-traditional cake for Disney standards with a yellow confetti cake base. The cake is then stuffed with a vanilla type custard that borders on a Boston Cream feeling.
The cake is then topped with a giant buttercream red and white carnival striped icing. The icing is incredibly high which makes the icing tip, especially in the extreme heat of Florida. It’s definitely not as pretty as some of the recent cupcakes we have seen from the Disney Pastry Chefs.
The Icing is then topped with a carousel horse. The carousel horse is made of white chocolate and comes in different pastel colors. Unfortunately, these horses are not different flavors.
Guests can purchase these summer seasonal cupcakes at the Gasparilla Island Grill located at the Grand Floridian Resort. You can purchase this cupcake for $5.99 plus tax or a dining plan snack credit. Enjoy!
