Shoot 'Nothing But Net' at the NBA Experience at Disney Springs

Walt Disney World has a new experience coming and it’s opening is just around the corner. On August 12, Disney Springs will open the brand new NBA Experience and you’re sure to have an amazing time with all 13 basketball-related activities. You can work on your ball-handling skills at Dribble or make your first slam-dunk over a Dunk!, which features an adjustable rim. Test out your NBA and WBNA knowledge at Trivia or check out the Arcade, where you can play the classic Pop-A-Shot game. You can visit and revisit all of the activities as many times as you want to practice and improve your skills as well as your previous scores.

Here are five important things to know if you’re on the fence about trying this new venue:

The experience is very guest-oriented and encourages you to participate in every activity. Once you’re inside, make sure to complete the optional registration. You can pick your favorite team, choose a nickname, which will essentially personalize your experience. Through different experiences, your teams’ logo will be on display on various leaderboards and signage. During the Shoot! experience, the court transforms into your team’s home arena! Different size basketballs are available to fit everyone and you set your skill level.
You will be completely enthralled by the environment. Walking into the NBA experience will feel like walking into an actual arena. The energy is high with overhead monitors, lights, and music and you will easily be swept away and intrigued by each activity.
If you love high tech, you’ll love this experience. There are massive touchscreens when you first enter the building where you can brush up on your favorite teams’ history. For the Replay experience, you are set up with your very own replay station where you review three different scenarios. You can view the plays from different angles, rewind the videos, and zoom in at different points of the videos before you determine to confirm or overturn the calls.
This experience just might leave you breathless; not from the physical exertion, but the sheer encouragement from others. From the virtual coaches to your fellow teammates, you’re always being encouraged to do your best and be successful.

Tickets are $34 for adults and $29 for children. Tickets for the NBA Experience are not date-specific and are valid through December 31, 2020. So grab your gear and get ready to make a slam-dunk at this new experience at Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs.

Christmas is returning at Disneyland Paris with Disney’s Enchanted Christmas! For two whole months, guests can celebrate the magic of Christmas from November the 9th 2019 to January 6th 2020! From magical twinkling lights to festive and wonderful Disney’s Christmas Parade, as well as meeting everyone’s favourite Disney Characters! This year, Disney’s Enchanted Christmas will also feature the Disney Princesses as they become part of the celebration dance featuring Disneyland Paris’ royal couples!

Light up the tree with Mickey’s Magical Christmas Lights

Featuring at Christmas time, when nighttime falls upon Disneyland Park, guests will be in awe during the updated Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Santa Clause, together they will light up the amazing twenty-four-metre tall tree in the centre of Main Street, U.S.A.

A sparkly celebration with Disney Princesses

During this magical Christmas season, guests can watch the Starlit Princess Waltz on the stage at Théâtre du Château. Featuring everyone’s favourite princesses; Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel and Tiana, together with their princes, will join Aurora on stage for a magical ball. Please note, this show will be available from 15 November 2019 to 5 January 2020

Rediscover Disney’s Christmas Parade

The traditional Disney’s Christmas Parade will return to the Parade Route boasting two performances every day. The Christmas Parade will open with Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy on magical and colourful floats. The procession will be followed by Winnie the Pooh and Friends, Chip & Dale and The Three Little Pigs. This will also be an opportunity for guests to meet their favourite Disney Characters. Of course, it would not be a Christmas Parade without Santa, so he will finish Disney’s Christmas Parade on a high note from his sleigh.

Magical greeting experiences in a festive setting

What a perfect way to feel the Christmas spirit that being surrounded by snowmen, glowing Christmas trees and snow-covered decorations surrounding the huge Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A. There are also some magical Disney character meet and greets during this enchanting time, from Thumper and Miss Bunny to Stitch in festive outfits. Santa Claus will also welcome guests at “Meet Mickey Mouse” in a specially dedicated lodge until 25 December (inclusive). What would Christmas be without traditional songs? The Let’s Sing Christmas show will feature the greatest Christmas tunes, featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and the singers. Following its success last season, the #SURPRISEMICKEY show will return to the Production Courtyard stage at the foot of Hollywood Tower Hotel. Primeval Whirl Refurbishment Extended Until End of September

Primeval Whirl refurbishment has been extended until September 28th according to OrlandoParkNews.com.The beloved zany time machine ride featuring a series of sudden dips and hair raising spins whilst taking guests in their own time machines through the Cretaceous Age! Look out for the cartoon dinosaurs and impending extinction as guests glimpse at a shower of kooky meteors!

The extended refurbishment of Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is to fix major technical issues which is taking longer than expected and therefore will not reopen to Guests anytime soon. The ride was set to open on August 3rd but will now open on the 28th September.

Disney’s Skyliner Added to Disney World’s Interactive Park Map

Disney’s Skyliner has now been added to Disney World’s interactive park map. The highly anticipated new transportation system is set to open on September 29th this year.

The new “state-of-the-art” transportation system will not only take guests to and from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot and four resorts but also offer guests a new way to experience the resort with the amazing views only available from the sky! The four Disney resort hotels connected to the Skyliner are Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and the new Disney’s Riviera Resort scheduled to open in December 2019!

As you can see from the photos below, Disney’s Skyliner has now been added to Disney World’s interactive park map. Showing the transportation system at the four resorts mentioned as well as joining at International Gateway at Epcot.

The Hong Kong Disneyland Castle is Receiving New Transformation

The Hong Kong Disneyland Castle is receiving an inspirational transformation of the iconic castle. The transformation has already been taking place, however, the most important stage started on Thursday, August 1, 2019.

The Hong Kong Disneyland Castle is starting to add thematic towers and spires representing 13 stories of the beloved Disney Princesses and Heroines at the castle base. The princesses and heroines represent a celebration of diversity, inclusion and unity. Guests will notice Cinderella, Tiana, Aurora, Ariel, Mulan, Snow White, Moana, Merida, Belle, Rapunzel, Pocahontas, Jasmine, Anna, and Elsa on the spires.

Once the Hong Kong Disneyland castle is complete, the hope is the “iconic castle will stand as a shining beacon of courage, hope and possibility, inspiring all who dare to dream big” according to The Disney Parks Blog.

Hong Kong Disneyland is also celebrating the transformation with a variety of Disney Princess experiences available throughout the resort. Guests can experience an immersive princess transformation at the brand-new Storybook shoppe-The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at the castle area or they can enjoy the Cinderella Suite at the Kingdom Club. The Cinderella Suite features an interior décor inspired by the classic tale of Cinderella.

The castle transformation should be complete next year. Once complete, the castle will also receive a outdoor stage are featuring a daytime show, as well as, a new viewing terrace for a new nighttime spectacular.

We can’t wait to see the final transformation.

The Main Street Electrical Parade makes it’s grand return to the Disneyland Resort on August 2nd! Along with all the sparkling lights, comes new snacks in celebration of this nighttime spectacular.

As you make your way down Main Street, U.S.A., sample all the fun eats before you secure a spot for the parade.

First stop, the Carnation Cafe! Try the new Raspberry Lemonade Shake that is perfect for these summer months. The Carnation Cafe is also serving up a Spicy Chicken Sandwich that has pepper jack cheese and a creamy mustard slaw.

At the Candy Palace you’ll see some familiar friends that are along the parade route. Try a Ladybug or Snail Cake Pop. Try a parade themed crispy treat. Guests can also enjoy a Caterpillar Marshmallow Wand. These will definitely satisfy any sweet tooth, but might be too cute to eat!

‘Black Widow’ Will Showcase Events After ‘Captain America: Civil War’ And A Visit From Natasha’s Past. After months of speculation Marvel Studios has finally confirmed some major rumors about their upcoming film, Marvel’s Black Widow.

During Marvel’s stunningly, epic Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con 2019, a ton of information about Phase 4 of the MCU was revealed, including the formal announcement about Black Widow. Marvel shared the films: cast, director, writer, and even a special sneak peek of some footage from the highly anticipated sequel. Specifically the moment we see Natasha meet Florence Pugh’s character, Yelena Belova.

Since the film’s announcement the cast and crew has been sharing bits and pieces here and there about what we can expect from the spy/action thriller.

Black Widow‘s Writer, Jac Schaeffer, spoke with Inverse and says only a part of the movie takes place after the climactic airport battle with her fellow Avengers in Captain America: Civil War, and that Natasha/Black Widow is “very much on her own and over the events of the Black Widow movie, she has to reckon with some of the red in her ledger.”

During an interview with ComicBook.com after Marvel’s Hall H panel, newcomer David Harbour (Stranger Things) shared his excitement for the film and working with Director Cate Shortland.

“This woman, Cate Shortland, who is directing this movie is one of the best directors I’ve ever worked with,” Harbour said. “She’s so, so smart, and makes such beautiful indie movies. The fact that you’d put someone like that at the helm of one of these huge action movies — and she pays such attention to the story and such attention to character — speaks volumes. The fact that these guys are so good at what they do, and so passionate about what they do, it feels tremendous. I’m very, very happy with the situation, working on it now. It’s on a scale and on a passionate level unlike anything I’ve ever done.”

David is not the only one at Marvel Studios who is excited to be working on such a highly anticipated prequel.

In response to questions of why it took so long to produce a solo Black Widow film for the MCU, Kevin Feige shared this statement in an interview with io9, “There’s a method to the madness. There’s always a method and doing things in an unexpected way is something we find fun. There are ways to do prequels that are less informative or answer questions you didn’t necessarily have, and then there are ways to do prequels where you learn all sorts of things you never knew before.”

Marvel’s Black Widow will usher in Phase 4 of the MCU and is set to premiere in theaters May 1, 2020.
