Disneyland Halloween Time Treat Guide

Starting with Disney California Adventure park, head on over to Award Weiners for fries served up two ways. Try the Rest In Peace-Strami Fries, which are topped with sliced pastrami, caramelized onions, pickles and mustard sauce. For dessert, try Oogie’s Worms & Dirt Funnel Cake Fries. These fries are topped with chocolate creme filled cookie pieces, gummy candy worms, chocolate coated candies and whipped cream.

Five Lucky Military Families Get A Sneak Peek of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Two days before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge officially opened to the public, five active-duty members of America’s armed forces, and their families, were treated to a very special sneak peek. Disney wanted to share their gratitude and appreciation for the military and selected one member from each branch of service for this special day, representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.

Bob Chapek, Disney Parks, Experience and Consumer Products Chairman, hosted the families personally. Everyone had a chance to crew the Millenium Falcon, build droids and lightsabers, peruse the marketplace, and finish it all off with cold blue milk.

Sony Says “The Door Is Closed For Now” On Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split

Sony Says "The Door Is Closed For Now" On Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split

Sony Says “The Door Is Closed For Now” On Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split. During Variety‘s Entertainment & Technology summit, Sony Pictures chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra discussed the Disney-Sony Spider-Man split.

Tony expressed how “For the moment the door is closed” on Spider-Man rejoining the MCU, but also stated that “It’s a long life,” in regards to the possibility of collaborating again in the future with Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige.

Sony Says "The Door Is Closed For Now" On Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split

“We had a great run with [Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige] on Spider-Man movies,” Vinciquerra said. “We tried to see if there’s a way to work it out….the Marvel people are terrific people, we have great respect for them, but on the other hand, we have some pretty terrific people of our own. [Feige] didn’t do all the work.”

After being questioned about Spider-Man’s future, Vinciguerra shared his belief that Sony will be fine with or without a partnership with Disney. “Spider-Man was fine before the event movies, did better with the event movies, and now that we have our own universe, he will play off the other characters as well,” Vinciquerra said. “I think we’re pretty capable of doing what we have to do here.”

Sony has expressed interest on introducing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to the Venom franchise of Sony Pictures and is looking to place him in 5-6 films and television shows starring the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Sony Says "The Door Is Closed For Now" On Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split

Reports online have stated that Disney and Sony are planning to meet up once again sometime next week, presumptuously over Spider-Man talks, but that remains to be seen at the moment. It may be time to accept that Spider-Man may not return to the MCU any time soon. (We still hope they can work it out sniffles and wipes tears)

Disney Looking at ‘Fox and the Hound’ for a Live-Action Remake

Disney Looking at 'Fox and the Hound' for a Live-Action Remake

Disney Looking at ‘Fox and the Hound’ for a Live-Action Remake. According to WeGotThisCovered.com, Disney is looking to create a live-action remake of the Disney Classic film, Fox and the Hound.

Disney has been met with both praise and criticism from fans for its decision to keep producing “live-action remakes” of the Disney Classics. But with films such as Aladdin (2019) and The Lion King (2019) both reaching over $1 billion in the global box office, it is unlikely Disney will stop the trend any time in the near future.

Disney Looking at 'Fox and the Hound' for a Live-Action Remake

For Disney Fans who may not be familiar with the 1981 Disney Classic, here is a film synopsis of Fox and the Hound: “After his mother is killed by a hunter, Tod the fox (Mickey Rooney) is taken in by the kindly Widow Tweed (Jeanette Nolan). He soon befriends the neighbor’s new hound dog, Copper (Kurt Russell). The two are inseparable, but their friendship is hampered by their masters and by the fact that they are, by nature, enemies. They grow apart as they grow older; Copper has become a strong hunting dog and Tod a wild fox. The pair must overcome their inherent differences in order to salvage their friendship.”

Disney Looking at 'Fox and the Hound' for a Live-Action Remake

For now, the film is nearly in the concept stage and has not been assigned a director, writer, or theatrical release date. If the film does not make it to the big screen we could still see a live-action Fox and the Hound come to Disney+, the new streaming service for all things Disney launching November 12, 2019. If the film comes to fruition, Fox and the Hound will likely be styled similarly to The Lion King(2019) or Lady and the Tramp (2019) coming to Disney+.

Disney Looking at 'Fox and the Hound' for a Live-Action Remake

Would you like to see a live-action Fox and the Hound? What do you think of the live-action remakes? What other Disney Classics do you want to see return to the big screen? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

2019 Haunted Mansion Holiday 50th Anniversary Gingerbread House First Look

2019 Haunted Mansion Holiday 50th Anniversary Gingerbread House First Look

The 2019 Haunted Mansion Holiday 50th Anniversary Gingerbread House is now on display in the Grand Hall on the Disneyland Haunted Mansion Ride.

It’s no surprise that this monstrous dessert took 13 spooky days to bring to life. There are six talented culinary cast members from the Disneyland Resort Central Bakery team that have been working on this year’s creation, three of which have been part of this mesmerizing tradition since 2001. Now, at the 19th season of creating this delectable dessert, the creativity from these clever individuals keeps becoming more and more innovative every year!

2019 Haunted Mansion Holiday 50th Anniversary Gingerbread House First Look

Disney’s associate art director Tim Wollweber designed this year’s house, and he explained that this was a challenge on a whole different level. “We tried to keep it as faithful to the Haunted Mansion itself so guests could immediately get that it’s the mansion, and know that it’s a heartfelt ‘dead-ication’ to it,” said Wollweber.

2019 Haunted Mansion Holiday 50th Anniversary Gingerbread House First Look

When it comes to the details of the structure, Wollweber said they designed all sorts of familiar intricate details that are a part of the attraction. “We have lantern bits in there, doors where they generally would be found, green iron work in there…we’ve never really done that before.”

Jokingly, Wollweber jokingly wonders if the gingerbread ghosts were once “alive,” but once eaten, came back to life to haunt this gingerbread house.

His favorite part about the experience? “More than any of the other designs we’ve done, this one is a great labor of love that pays tribute to what’s been around for half a century. This is our congratulations for haunting a place for 50 years and we are happy that people still love it.”

Standing at nearly 10-feet tall, the Haunted Mansion replica itself steals the hearts of all who lay eyes to it with its intricate details and some familiar faces. There are 15 spirited Haunted Mansion residents made of gingerbread cookies ranging from 24 to 30 inches tall.

Here are this year’s ghoulish ingredients that make up this ghostly home:

  • Over 30 pounds of gingerbread
  • 120 pounds of frosting and icing
  • 75 pounds of powdered sugar
  • 140 pounds of fondant
  • …and more!

You can experience this freakishly fun Haunted Mansion gingerbread house and more during Halloween Time, and through the Christmas holidays at the Disneyland Resort!
