An Ultra Marathoner is Running From Disneyland to Walt Disney World

Running

Running

How far would you go for Disney? One man, Don Muchow, is embarking upon an epic run that will take him from coast to coast. Don is determined to complete a Disneyland-to-Disney World ultra marathon. This runner’s journey is quite different from what runDisney offers in terms of distance!

Don started his run in Newport Beach, CA on February 1st. From there, he ran over 14 miles to arrive at the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. He will run over 2,830 miles from Disneyland to Walt Disney World. The last leg of Don’s journey will be going from Disney World to Melbourne, FL so he can say he started at the Pacific Ocean and finished at the Atlantic Ocean. Don hopes to complete his Run Across America in 98 days and finish on May 8th, 2020.

An Ultra Marathoner is Running From Disneyland to Walt Disney World

The runner’s journey will take him through nine states. He already knows it’ll take him an estimated nine days to reach Walt Disney World once he crosses the Florida state line. Don already knows what he will do when reaches the Magic Kingdom. “Eat, get a massage, and go ride It’s a Small World,” said Don Muchow. He’ll have a day filled with Disney fun at Magic Kingdom before finishing his last 74 miles to arrive at Melbourne.

Don is an inspiration to others for his commitment to running long distances. With the right mindset and determination, we can achieve fantastic feats. Maybe one of our readers will think about joining a runDisney race in the future!

Disney+ Reaches 28 Million Subscribers Since Launching in November

Disney+ Reaches 28 Million Subscribers Since Launching in November. Disney was quick to announce the initial subscriber count at the time of launch, having signed on 10 million subscribers during their November 2019 launch. Disney has been adamant about sharing reports of growth during their quarterly earnings call only and keeping to their word, Disney CEO Bob Iger waited to share the news of Disney+’s new subscriber numbers until said phone call on Tuesday, February 4th.

“We had a strong first quarter, highlighted by the launch of Disney+, which has exceeded even our greatest expectations,” said Iger. “Thanks to our incredible collection of brands, outstanding content from our creative engines and state-of-the-art technology, we believe our direct-to-consumer services, including Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu, position us well for continued growth in today’s dynamic media environment.”

According to the quarterly report from The Walt Disney Company, Disney+ is now sitting at 28 million subscribers, with hopes of reaching 60-90 millions subscribers by 2024.

It appears that Disney is well on their way to reaching their goal and we can’t wait to see what The Walt Disney Company has in store for Disney+.

Bob Iger Says Marvel Studios is Developing 10 Shows for Disney+

Bob Iger Says Marvel Studios is Developing 10 Shows for Disney+

Bob Iger Says Marvel Studios is Developing 10 Shows for Disney+. During the quarter earnings call for The Walt Disney Company, Disney CEO Bob Iger shared that Marvel Studios is currently developing 10 Marvel Series exclusively for Disney+. After highlighting Loki, WandaVision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Iger went on to say, “There are seven other Marvel series in various stages of development or pre-production.”

Currently slated for Disney+ are Marvel Series:

  • The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
  • WandaVision
  • Loki
  • What If…?
  • Moon Knight
  • Hawkeye
  • Ms. Marvel
  • She-Hulk
  • Marvel’s 616
  • Marvel’s Storyboards

Marvel Studios is getting ready to begin Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the release of Black Widow on May 1st, but shared at the 2019 San Diego Comic Con that Marvel has already planned out Phase 5 for the MCU.Bob Iger Says Marvel Studios is Developing 10 Shows for Disney+

“We debated what we should announce today,” Feige told MTV News during  SDCC 2019. “Should we announce Phase Four and Five? We’ve planned them out, we’ve got five years down the road and I was like, I think eleven projects in two years is plenty having not mentioned anything for two or three years.”

Iger did not share any official plans for Phase 5, but likely Phase 5 will include titles such as: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Captain Marvel 2, Spider-Man 3, and Deadpool 3. Though we will likely see multiple seasons for most of these new Marvel shows, it’s a safe assumption that Marvel and Disney will work to bring even more Marvel content exclusively to Disney+.

Season Two of "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" Begins Production

Production has resumed in Salt Lake City on the second season of the popular Disney+ series “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” as the East High drama students prepare to perform “Beauty and the Beast” as their Spring musical. Slated for a late 2020 debut on Disney+, the second season will include reimagined musical numbers from both the “High School Musical” movies and the stage production of “Beauty and the Beast,” in addition to brand-new songs that join hits from season one like “Born to Be Brave” and “Just for a Moment.”

Created and executive-produced by Tim Federle (Golden Globe and Academy Award-nominated “Ferdinand”), the series has been “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes as measured by a consensus of reviews by top critics and audience members.  It was recently nominated for a GLAAD Media Award.

The soundtrack entered the Billboard 200 at (#31). Most recently, the single “All I Want,” written and performed by Olivia Rodrigo, has garnered over 52 million streams globally across all platforms. Rodrigo will perform the song on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” on Thursday, February 6 (please check local listings).

“We’re excited about Tim’s plans for the new season.  He continues to amaze and surprise us with the relationships and stories he’s creating for this unbelievably talented cast.  Season two will be filled with even more of the humor, heart, and music that made HSMTMTS a break-out series on Disney+,” said Ricky Strauss, president, Content & Marketing, Disney+.
