We are just over a week away from the grand opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runway Railway!
In the meantime we continue the tradition of the cartoon poster series countdown, this time with “Potatoland”!! A poster that features Mickey, Goofy and Donald at the entrance of an amusement park that seems to be a potato lover dream come true.
In the short we can see Mickey and Donald taking Goofy to Potatoland, a potato themed amusement park that has been his dream to visit since he was little. Unfourtunally the park isn’t real which leads to Mickey and Donald trying to make Goofy’s dream come true by making Potatoland come to life!
The theme park has a great similarity to Disneyland, we can even hear some familiar tunes from Main Street Electrical Parade and The Haunted Mansion.
Plus fun fact: There are some hidden Mickey’s during the short! Pay close attention when Donald try to start the car. Check it out here.
Bewitching surprises might be awaiting for you sooner then you think!

Epcot International Festival of the Arts is about to come to an end very soon and with that comes new guide maps!

New Star Wars Films Rumored to be ‘In the Works’ Despite Claims of Hiatus by Lucasfilm. As much as Lucasfilm is insisting the studio is taking a break from Star Wars movies, every other day we keep getting reports on directors, writers, and producers being assign to new Star Wars project. The most recent rumor has been swirling around that Sleight writer/director J.D. Dillard and Luke Cage writer Matt Owens are attached to a new Star Wars story.
Should the rumors prove true, Dillard would become the first black director for a Star Wars film in the franchises history, proving Kathleen Kennedy truly is making efforts to make Lucasfilm a more diverse studio with truly talented staff at the helm.
Lucasfilm and Disney have also shared set release dates, specially for Star Wars films set to release in December 2022, 2024, and 2026, with no indication of those dates being pushed back any time soon. Personally, I do not think 3-years counts as a “hiatus” for films, but I digress.
It is currently unknown what the plot of the film will be, what characters will be included, or if a completely new Star Wars story is set to be told within the same universe. It is also unknown if Dillard’s specific project will receive a theatrical release or may be streamed exclusively on Disney+.
The studio does seem to be heavily focused on Disney+ content for the time being. With production already beginning soon on a second season of the massively popular The Mandalorian, a currently untitled Cassian Andor based Rogue One prequel series, and the high-anticipated untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series with returning star Ewan McGregor, coming soon to Disney+, it’s no wonder Lucasfilm may be taking a brief sabbatical from feature film making to focus on the tasks at hand.
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Star Wars franchise now that the Force has awakened. (Get it?)

Tim Allen Wants To Bring Back ‘Home Improvement’ For A Revival Special. The famed Toy Story and Last Man Standing actor wants to return to the role of Tim Taylor of Home Improvement for a special revival so both the fans and the cast can reconnect with the mega-popular 90’s sitcom family.
“I like the idea of doing it as a one-off, like a one-hour movie [versus a full-fledged revival series]. I like the idea of finding out where the boys are now, and where… Tool Time would be in today’s world. I just think it’s a marvelous idea, and all the actors think it’s a great idea.” Tim continued, “The question I had was, ‘Is it still relevant? Is Tim Taylor relevant in the Mike Baxter [Last Man Standing] world?’ Because Mike Baxter is like a real version of Tim Taylor; he’s not such a joke. And the [Outdoor Man] vlogs are like Mike’s version of Tool Time done as a web series.”
We think there are plenty of ways Tim Taylor could remain relevant, despite the passing of time. Just my input, cough, cough Disney and ABC, I would be happy to write up a script for you! cough, cough, a great plot point would be Tim realizing a generation of “electronically raised” kids are now seeking the skills initially taught on Tool Time. I’m sure Tim would also be fascinated by advancing technology such as 3D printers, virtual construction, and more. Could you imagine Tim puttering around a virtual reality simulator? I’m laughing just thinking of the chaos that would ensue. Hehehe.

We would also love to see how The Taylor’s are doing, what the boys have been up to now that they are adults, how Jill and Tim are handling being “empty nesters”, potentially also being grandparents, and of course how other characters are doing in the modern age. It would be very interesting to see the cast reunite for a Home Improvementspecial and give insight into The Taylor family’s lives in “2020.”
Even if the special is not given a release on ABC we would love to see a Home Improvement special on Disney+ (Just another idea that is up for grabs, Disney).
What do you think of a Home Improvement revival? Do you like the idea of leaving it up to the fans imagination? Or would you want to see what The Taylor’s are up to 21 years later? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Disney and ABC!
A Walt Disney World guest is suing Disney after a Cast Member allegedly slammed a gate on her. The lawsuit from the Tennessee woman was filed against Disney on Tuesday for an incident that occurred on Feb. 26, 2018 at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
The woman was apparently entering the Space Mountain Ride when she was injured by a Cast Member closing a gate on her, though we are unaware of how badly she was injured.
In turn, the guest would like over $30,000 for damages for the Cast Member‘s “lack of reasonable care, failure to conduct safety inspections of the ride, and failure to safely control the ride.”
We will have to wait and see what comes of this Guest vs. Disney lawsuit.
There are so many wonderful stores with high quality products at Disney Springs, but this is one that many will be excited for! Lululemon Athletica sells many of my favorite casual wear pieces including leggings, shorts, shirts, hats, and hairbands. The athleticwear is comfortable, trendy, durable and long-lasting. Men and women alike sing the praises of the quality and comfortability.
The official opening date has not yet been announced, however, it should be sometime this year. I personally swear by their leggings and shorts in my park attire for the breathability. Maybe Lululemon will consider some Disney pieces in their future? Is any one else excited about this addition to Disney Springs?

Disney Park guests have been able to purchase customized merchandise in a couple of locations through the technology of D-Tech on Demand– but now there will be even more customization opportunities through the debut of MADE.
MADE will allow guests to customize their dream Disney clothing- perfect for making t-shirts in honor of special occasions! Of course, guests will still be able to customize phone cases, MagicBands, magnets, and commemorative bricks that the parks have offered in the past.
All guests have to do to bring their own customized merchandise to life is simply select the item that they would like, choose the Disney art and colors, and finally, add their name! Customers also have the option to pick up their orders later in the day, or have them delivered to their Disney resort or back home.
You’ll soon be able to create your own merchandise with MADE in Magic Kingdom at the Tomorrowland Light and Power Co., Frontierland Trading Post, and Curtain Call Collectables; in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Star Wars Launch Bay and Celebrity 5 & 10 Shop; and in Disney Springs at Marketplace Co-Op and NBA Experience, all at the Walt Disney World Resort. For Disneyland Resort guests, MADE merchandise will be available for purchase at Star Wars Launch Bay and Star Traders.
Currently, only Tomorrowland Light and Power Co. and Marketplace Co-Op offer the customized apparel option, but the other locations are working hard to make the transition with MADE as well. According to Disney Parks Blog, there will also be new designs continually added to the MADE customization system.
Will you be creating your own custom MADE merchandise when you go to the Disney Parks next?
