As everyone probably already knows, Cinderella’s Castle will soon be getting quite the face-lift (a royal makeover)! And while the new design will be beautiful, Walt Disney World guests and families currently planning their vacations have a couple of concerns with the construction.
Walt Disney World guests can rest assured that normal operations will continue within the castle, so any reservations that have been made for Cinderella’s Royal Table and the Bibbidi Bobbiddi Boutique will go on as planned!
The castle will also remain uncovered so guests will still be able to get their classic Cinderella’s Castle photos even throughout the construction period, though there may be temporary construction equipment in the area.
According to Disney Parks Blog, construction will begin within a couple of weeks or so and should be finished by the end of the summer.

Lightsaber Pub Crawl is Coming to a City Near You! Star Wars fans 21 and older will love this special event being hosted in 23 cities on the same day. It’s a Pub Crawl Thing is hosting their annual Lightsaber Pub Crawl on May 2nd. Baymax isn’t the only themed food in the Tokyo Disney’s “New Dreams, More Fun” food line! As part of the Fantasyland expansion other characters such as Mickey Mouse and characters from Beauty and the Beast will also star on the menu, check it out here! As well as “New Dreams, More Fun” and Fantasyland, Tokyo Disney is also getting a new popcorn shop called “Big Pop” coming to Tokyo Disneyland this year!. This will be a new speciality popcorn shop selling lots of different flavours of popcorn to satisfying hungry guests! Alongside this, Baymax is also getting his own ride!
The popular apparel brand known for it’s beanies just released a The Mandalorian collection and it includes Baby Yoda of course!
The beanies are an adorable color mint with Baby Yoda on the front and a big pom pom on top! There is also a version without the pom pom for those who prefer a more simple design.
Plus they also have a size for kids and babies! So adorable.
They released designs featuring the Mandalorian in all sizes as well!

Local Orlando news stations have been sharing the news of a devastating car crash that occurred just outside of Walt Disney World earlier this week.
The crash took place around 5:30 p.m Tuesday on Route 429 in Kissimmee.

Five-year-old Scarlett Smith and her mother, 41-year-old Julie Smith of Whitman, and Julie’s mother, 76-year-old Josephine Fay of Weymouth were all killed instantly according to officials. All three were sitting in the rear bench seat of the minivan at the time of the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene, said Lieutenant Kim Montes, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman.
Eleven-year-old Jaxon Smith passed away due to his injuries at Arnold Palmer Hospital on Wednesday according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The 5-year-old’s twin sister, Skylar, 10-year-old sister Shalie, their dad, Shane, 43, and their grandfather William Fay, 76, all suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
“We believe everybody was belted, but the father who was driving,” Lt. Montes said.
Lucas Dos Reis Laurindo, 26, of Kissimmee, rear-ended the Toyota van, which had slowed for traffic, causing it to roll over.
Earlier this week, we informed readers that Disney plans to give a makeover to Cinderella Castle. We received further details on what will be done to modify the appearance of Walt Disney World’s famous castle.
Good Morning America (GMA) reported the full scope of the Cinderella Castle makeover to their viewers. First, they clarified how the upcoming castle project includes plans to touch upon nearly every inch of Cinderella Castle. All 18 towers and their corresponding spires will be changed. The spires will be repainted with a deeper hue of blue color to help give them a bolder appearance. This change will give a more distinguished royal blue color to the shingle spires. Also, the castle’s turrets and their 13 gargoyles are included in this royal makeover. The fresh new coloration will enhance the visual aesthetic.
The concept art better illustrates how a shiny gold trim will adorn each segment of Cinderella Castle. If you focus on the inner curtain, you’ll see they plan to paint that part with a new rose-pink color. The inner curtain is the main structure of towers located inside the circle of towers at the base. Even though it’s a soft color, adding rose-pink does add a nice touch!
We are excited to see how Cinderella Castle will look once its royal makeover is complete. It’s sure to delight visitors coming to Magic Kingdom for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World!

Some extra cuteness has arrived at the Disney Parks! A new The Child Spirit Jersey for kids has landed! We all fell in love with the original Spirit Jersey for adults, and now kids can also show off their love of the cutest alien around too.
The jersey is the same fabulous minty green color as the adult version. Instead of just The Child’s face and hands peeking over the seam of the shirt, this is a full graphic of the lovable character. A hint of a smile even peeks from behind his robes.
On the back teal puffed ink reads “The Child”! This is different from the adult version that says “The Mandalorian”. I like that it’s similar enough to match, but still has its own unique design. I know my son is already jumping for joy for this new Spirit Jersey, so that we can do a “Baby Yoda” mommy and me outfit.
The Child Spirit Jersey for kids retails for $49.99. It can currently be found at Disneyland, but should be rocketing towards Walt Disney World soon!

Disneyland will be hosting an exclusive attraction experience for Annual Passholders next month.
The Disneyland Resort is opening up a 2-day special opportunity for their Passholders. This will be especially for those who enjoy the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction.
On March 4th and 5th guests with valid annual passports will be able to experience the attraction after hours. Disneyland Park’a normal operating hours will end at 10 o’clock p.m. After, guests with valid passports and wristbands will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
Disneyland has not release any information, as of yet, about where these wristbands will be distributed. However, in their announcement the released, they did mention that wristbands will be while supplies last. Also, they stated that more information would follow soon.
For a 2-day only experience, we think it’s safe to say that where or whenever the distribution is, expect a high volume of interested Annual Passholders. The resort has also done this with another famed attraction. Recently, APs could experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout and Soarin’ Over California after hours as well.

Sony Wants Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to Stay in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s no secret that Tom Holland has won the hearts of Marvel fans of all ages with his performance as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans were horribly blindsided by what appeared to be a falling out between Sony and Disney over the use of the character and it seemed Spidey was out of the MCU for good, until fans and Tom Holland himself intervened and helped the studios see that the best thing for the character, studios, and the fans would be to work out their differences.
Luckily, Sony and Disney were able to work out a temporary deal, but it seems Sony is willing to continue this partnership far past the established 3rd stand alone Spider-Man film.

Sony President, Tom Rothman, openly shared his optimism for even more work with Disney and Marvel Studios in the future, saying: “I hope so. I think this was a classic win-win-win. I think it was a win for Sony. I think it was a win for Disney. I think it was a win for fans and moviegoers. The only thing I would say about that is that news cycles and the rhythm of negotiations don’t necessarily overlap… I think we would have gotten there and the news got ahead of some things.”

Comedian Brad Williams Helps Encourage Bullied 9-Year-Old Boy With Dwarfism With Trip To Disneyland. Australian native, Quaden was born with Achondroplasia, a form of Dwarfism, and is currently 9-years-old. Quaden’s mother, Yarraka Bayles, shared a heartbreaking video of Quaden crying and visibly upset after being bullied for his dwarfism.
Comedian Brad Williams caught wind of this distressing video and immediately felt a connection with Quaden, as they both have Achondroplasia and face prejudice and ridicule over the condition. Brad was heartbroken and decided to start a GoFundMe to raise funds to show Quaden there are kind people out there who love him and want to see him thrive in life and that bullying is wrong and there are good people out there who have his back. To help show Quaden there is a better world out there, Williams wants to bring Quaden and his mother to America to visit Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.
My bet is once Disney catches wind of this they will make sure to work their magic for Quaden!

Williams shared, “9 year old Quaden is an amazing boy from Australia with dwarfism. One day when his mother picked him up from school, she found Quaden in hysterics. Quaden was being bullied so horribly in school, that he just could not take it anymore. His mother filmed his tearful outcry and put it on Facebook to let people know the effect that bullying can have. The bullying was so severe, in the video Quaden can be heard saying “Give me a knife—I want to kill myself.” I’m setting up this GoFundMe to let Quaden know that bullying will not be tolerated, and that he is a wonderful human being who deserves joy. I want to fly Quaden and his mother to America, get them a nice hotel, and bring them to Disneyland.”
Brad continued, “This isn’t just for Quaden, this is for anyone who has been bullied in their lives and told they weren’t good enough. Let’s show Quaden and others, that there is good in the world and they are worthy of it. I have been in touch directly with Quaden’s mother. So I will have their information to book the flights. Funds raised will be spent on two airplane tickets for Quaden and his mother from Australia to Los Angeles. As well as providing a hotel, food, and tickets to Disneyland Park in Anaheim for multiple days. After all the flights, hotel, tickets, and food is paid for, any excess money will be donated to anti-bullying/anti-abuse charities.”
The initial video is shockingly full of raw emotion including Quaden repeatedly asking for someone to kill him due to the distress the bullying is having on his physical and mental health. Remind you, Quaden is NINE YEARS OLD. We have posted the video shared by Quaden’s mother below, but please know there is some distressing language. Quaden’s mom, Yarraka, wants people to realize just how deep of an impact bullying has on victims who are seeing zero support by adults who can intervene but choose not to, or don’t do enough to prevent bullying in the first place. Other celebrities and athletes have stepped in to share their support for Quaden and to take a stand against bullying. Most notably was a video shared by Actor Hugh Jackman and another video and photo shared by The Indigenous NRL All Stars.
The GoFundMe account has already blown expectations out of the water, with an initial goal of $10,000, the account at the time of writing sits at nearly $150,000!!! We hope Quaden feels the support from around the world that bullying is NOT okay and starts to see more kindness and less hate in the days to come. We also hope he has a great trip to Disneyland and gets the royal treatment before, during, and after his visit!
