In a recent Facebook post, they said “Destino Plaza is one of our newest wedding venues! This ceremony set-up was from a wedding featured on our TV show, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings on Disney+. Recently Disney Weddings gave us some of the newest trends for 2021, including smaller guest count, assigned seating, mismatched seating, and coordinated guest dress code. The wedding box, yellow gold, intimate bridal bouquets, and non-traditional registries round out the list for 2021.

It was announced that another one of Universal Orlando Resort Hotels was reopening. Loews Sapphire Falls resort will reopen on May 18, 2021. The last hotel to reopen was Loews Portofino Bay, it had previously reopened on December 1st.
A sweet new cutie has flown into the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! We can now bring home a cute Orange Bird Tumbler to remember our spring time fun with! How can we resistthis cutie?

Photos of Spaceship Earth lighting being installed have been posted on Twitter. The new lighting is for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. Billed as “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”. Beginning October 1, 2021, the magic is calling everyone to the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration —and the only thing missing is you!
Spaceship Earth lighting will become a permanent fixture at Epcot. After 18 months of the 50th Anniversary, Disney has announced, the lighting will stay. Zach Riddley, Disney Imagineer originally posted about the new lighting for Spaceship Earth “Spaceship Earth is a unique structure recognized around the world. To honor this idea, our Imagineers have created custom lighting features that literally emerge from her unique architecture. These features will shine across Spaceship Earth’s silver panels and “connect” with one another, resembling shimmering stars in a nighttime sky”.
He continues “Spaceship Earth has maintained her classic multi-color lighting design for nearly 40 years – a legacy the team working on this project are keen to preserve. Her classic look will be maintained and accentuated through new colors and intensity in programmed expressions that extend into the new main entrance fountain and the entire World Celebration area that continues to take shape before our eyes.”
Gideon’s Bakehouse has been very active this April. We have covered the Flavors of Florida, the “Stuart” cookie, the 3-layer Key Lime Cake, and the ice cream pairings they were doing at Disney Springs. Now comes Cake Dip! Seriously Gideon’s, we get it, you are amazing. Now we wait for what is next… I heard through a “gargoyle” a new cake is coming. In a recent Facebook post from Steve, Gideon’s owner, he goes into explaining exactly what cake dip is.
“Let’s talk about something for a sec. We made Cake Dips today. What’s a Cake Dip? It’s Gideon’s Cake that has been fully prepared before being ceremoniously dropped in a blender and mixed! This ritual is a divine transformation that you can enjoy as a small 1/4 pound snack or a dip for your Cookie. The inaugural Cake Dip flavor is PB Mocha Chocolate Cake, and it’s delightful, so try one out.”
As of this article, the cake dips were sold out during the weekend at both locations, Gideon’s original location at East End Market and the Disney Springs flagship store. Normally, when the sold-out post drops, it is for that day only and they have more available the following day. As always follow ChipandCo for all your Gideon’s news.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge Joins the Cast of ‘Indiana Jones 5‘. If adventure has a name…it must be Indiana Jones! Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Solo: A Star Wars Story) will star alongside Harrison Ford, who is returning to the role of the legendary hero archaeologist, for the fifth installment of the iconic franchise.
In addition, the inimitable John Williams will return to score the film, continuing a musical journey which began 40 years ago with Raiders of the Lost Ark. Williams’ unforgettable Indy soundtracks, packed with all the epic thrills, suspense, romance and excitement that fans have come to expect from an Indiana Jones movie, have become as beloved and familiar as the adventurer-hero’s signature hat and whip.
“I’m thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers,” said the film’s director James Mangold. “Steven, Harrison, Kathy, Frank, and John are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can’t help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself.”

Celebrate National Pet Day with this fun and tasty recipe for your fur friend: Mickey Shaped Dog Treats!
Because they also deserve some Disney magic in their lives, why not treat them with these adorable snacks that will have them wiggling their tails in excitement!
Everyone in your family can help make them by following this easy recipe from Disney Family:
MICKEY SHAPED DOG TREATS
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of whole wheat flour (for a grain-free treat, substitute 1/3 cup coconut flour)
1/2 cup of peanut butter (make sure your peanut butter doesn’t contain Xylitol)
1/4 cup of pumpkin puree
1/4 cup of vegetable, chicken or beef stock
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350F.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, peanut butter, and pumpkin puree. Once combined, add stock.
If using a Mickey-shaped cookie cutter: Use your hands to press the dough into a ball. Place dough ball on a flat surface (with a sprinkle of flour if needed) and roll out evenly with a rolling pin. Dough should be about 1/4 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into a Mickey shape and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 12-18 minutes or until golden brown and hard to the touch. The baking time will vary based on the size of the treats.
If using a silicone Mickey shaped mold, fill each mold about half way. Bake for 10 minutes, brush tops with stock, and bake 10 minutes more.
Let biscuits cool completely before serving to your dog. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
‘Captain Marvel 2‘ Will Begin Filming This May. According to Production Weekly, Marvel Studios is aiming to begin filming Captain Marvel 2 on May 31st at Pinewood Studios in London. The movie is also set to film in both Los Angeles, CA and New Jersey. The film will star Brie Larson (Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau), Iman Vellani (Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel), and Zawe Ashton (unspecified).
Last time we saw Carol Danvers and “Lt. Trouble” together Monica was a young girl in the 90’s and helped Captain Marvel pick out her iconic superhero uniform. Now in the 2020’s, Monica is all grown up and working for S.W.O.R.D. and based off her reaction to hearing Carol’s name mentioned in WandaVision, Monica has some unfinished business with Carol that will likely be addressed in the upcoming film. Especially since we will see a young Kamala Khan joining the cast and presumably under the wing of Captain Marvel.
Though Carol and Monica will have to work through their apparent problem(s), they won’t have long to do so. The cast of leading ladies will also have to deal with a currently unnamed villain, played by actress Zawe Ashton. Zawe Ashton is a British Actress and is heavily rumored to be dating fellow Marvel star, Tom Hiddleston (Loki).
Disney recently unveiled the plans for a new merchandise location in EPCOT called Creations Shop. Located toward the front of the park, this new store will be part of a revitalized center to the park. Photos reveal just how close we are to seeing the fresh look ahead.
The Creations Shop will have a bold design to accentuate its innovative merchandise. Slated to sell not just souvenirs, but items to enhance your memories of the trip, this location should celebrate all the uniqueness of Disney World. The building will have an open and welcoming feel. Nature will be invited into the environment with large glass walls to allow sunlight and a view.
Nature isn’t the only beautiful adornment in the shop though. A large mural of Mickey Mouse will extend along one of the walls. Mickey is always a great source of inspiration but apparently we should be prepared for a “wow factor” in this wall. We can’t wait!
Creations Shop will be opening this summer, as will the new Club Cool! Only a few months from now, we will be shopping in a whole new way and tricking our friends into trying Beverly. Photos show that the work isn’t finished yet, but it is well underway. The new park center will be called World Celebration, which is fitting since we will be celebrating its opening soon!
