The cute new Minnie ears that coordinate with the popular Disney Parks icons Loungefly backpack are back in stock! These super cute ears are made from the same vegan leather as the Loungefly bags we know and love. The same cute print from the new bag is also on these fun ears!
The ears sit atop a black headband and are adorned with a sparkly blue sequined bow. On the side of the headband is a metal Loungefly logo plate! If you missed out on the Designer Parks Loungefly ears last year, these make a nice replacement! The Loungefly Minnie ears from the parks also have a really great quality.
Because it is an all-over print, each ear is a little bit different! Placement might be a bit tricky, but I find it a lot of fun trying to find ears with my favorite icons on them. However, since they are brand ears, these retail for $34.99, instead of the regular Minnie ears price.
What do you think of the fun new Disney Park Icons Loungefly Minnie Ears?
Walt Disney World Golf blog gave us an update today on some of the Earth Day 2021 efforts. Highlighting the new Purple Martin nesting structures at Disney’s MagnoliaGolf Course, near the 10th tee box and the 14th green.
Purple Martins are the largest members of the Swallow family and breed throughout much of North America, though their numbers have declined in Florida in recent decades. They annually migrate several thousand miles from Brazil in South America, through Central America and the Caribbean, and arrive here in Central Florida from January to March.
We have shown a spotlight on Epcot’s efforts over the years, and the many structures for nests throughout Future World and the World Showcase. This is the first year for the golf course nesting, and it seems they are already seeing results.
The birds have begun nesting this year, and in partnership with Disney Conservation, Walt Disney World Golf team members check the nests weekly and monitor the progress of each purple martin pair and their chicks. Over 100 eggs have been laid and chicks have begun to hatch!
Once they have hatched, purple martin chicks take about a month to grow up until they are ready to leave the nest and fly! At the end of the nesting season, they will begin their migration back to South America in June to July, as our summer begins. Purple Martins tend to return each year, once they establish a breeding location, so we anticipate a regular presence of them well into the future.

Update: Disney released a statement concerning the accident to Click Orlando stating that nobody was in the cabins in the incident and nobody was injured.
Here is the initial news report:
Two Disney Skyliners have gotten into an accident at Disney World this evening. Two of the Gondolas appear to have hit one another and there looks to be glass on the ground.
According to the video, it looks as if one of the wheelchair accessible gondolas hit one of the main gondolas where the 2 tracks merge together.
The accident occurred a the Hollywood Studios Disney Skyliner Station around 6:30 pm. We are unsure if anyone was hurt or was even in the Gondolas.
The Hollywood Studios Skyliner line has been down since the incident and guests are being advised to use an alternate form of transportation at this time.
This year celebrate Earth Day with a delicious Tree of Life Pie!
The beautiful symbol of Animal Kingdom that celebrates all living creatures honors animals and the place they all share in the great Circle of Life. Did you know this tree is 145 feet tall and feature over 300 animals carved into it? Awesome right?
Roll the top and bottom halves of dough to a thickness of 1/8 of an inch. If needed, use bench flour.
Fit the bottom crust into a pie plate. Leave a 1/2 inch overhand of dough, and cut off any extra with kitchen scissors.
Prick the bottom crust with a fork to keep it from puffing up during baking. Fill the bottom crust with the pie filling.
Top the filling with the rolled top crust. Trim the edges of the top crust, leaving a 1/2 inch overhand of dough. Tuck the edged under and flute the edges. Use the tips of a small fork to create decorative lines on the inner side of the fluted edge.
Roll out the dough for a single crust to a thickness of 1/8 of an inch, then use a precision knife to cut out the silhouette of the Tree of Life. You can do this freeform, or by printing an image and using it as a template. You will want the tree to be approximately 6-7 inches to fit in the middle of the pie.
Collect the scraps and save for later. Use the precision knife and a sharp knife to impress lines on the trunk of the tree.
Preheat the oven to 425F. Place the tree cut out on top of the pie. Bake the pie for 20 minutes, then reduce the heat to 400F and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the pie is golden brown. If the edges start to get too brown during baking, cover it with a strip of foil or a pie crust shield.
Re-roll the scraps from the single crust to create leaves and any critters. Here, i’ve chosen to cut out the shape of an owl using a precision knife. Use a toothpick to impress the critter’s eyes and features. Create leaves using a mini round cutter, then use a precision knife to impress veins in the leaves. Bake at 375F for 5-8 minutes until the pieces are just baked.
In two small bowls, dilute the green and brown food colorings with a small amount of alcohol to thin them out. Use small food brushes to apply the color to the baked leaves and critter.
After the pie has cooled completely, plaint the canopy green and the trunk brown.
Attach the pie crust leaves to the canopy and critter to the trunk using small dabs of honey. Apply each dab with the tip of a toothpick.
