Universal Orlando hiring with $750 sign-on bonus

Universal Orlando hiring

Universal Orlando hiring upwards of 100 Team members. With a $750.00 sign-on bonus after 90 days of full work. In a sign of an improving economy, and things normalizing after the pandemic destroyed the jobs market. Universal Orlando today announced more job openings. The market for new employees has turned into a lot of businesses offering incentives such as cash.

We have tried to keep updated on all the major Theme Parks with job openings and bring the news to you. If you are looking to become a Team Member at Universal follow the link. A team member at the theme parks may get free park admission, discounts, and complimentary guest passes, according to Universal.

Universal Orlando has a lot on its plate lately. With the opening of Velocicoaster, reducing social distancing, opening of the Jurassic Park Tribute store, and a new Food Festival coming soon. Plus the auditions for Halloween Horror Nights for scare actors.

Velocicoaster

Universal Orlando hiring, Walt Disney World resort hiring again, and local eateries at Disney Springs and along the I-Drive area is great news for us locals who rely on the service industry job market. Our vaccination rates are going up and sit around 50% for the Orange County area. We may be seeing a bright light at the end of this dark tunnel we went though. Seems like every day we see something new opening or someone hiring.

Halfway to Halloween has been trending this morning as Disney Parks Blog released some major news. After Hours BOO BASH!, new Halloween merchandise, and Muppets Haunted Mansion special coming to Disney+, plus brand new snacks, and recipes you can make at home.

We have autumnal pumpkin and apple recipes plus Disney villain-inspired deviled dragon eggs and a delicious, healthful smoothie.

Bad has never tasted so good! These first two recipes are from the soon-to-be-released Disney Villains: Devilishly Delicious Cookbook, where the iconic villains from Disney’s film library are the inspiration for the recipes.

Hades from Disney’s animated feature film, Hercules, inspired the recipe for Underworld Smoothies. This smoothie plays off Hades’ two moods: blue flames for hair when he’s calm and red flames when angry. You mix a blue and red smoothie separately, then pour both into the same glass for a healthful dose of Hades’ feelings! Click here for a print-at-home version of this recipe.

Even Maleficent would approve of these Deviled Dragon Eggs! Cleverly using red cabbage water to create the unique coloring of these eggs, this recipe takes a bit of time, but the “terrifying” results are sure to impress! Click here for a print-at-home version of this recipe.

Our Pumpkin Muffin recipe comes from the recipe vault at Disneyland Park. Served at past Halloween Time celebrations at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, these perfectly pumpkiny muffins get a sprinkle of streusel on top for that right hint of sweetness. Happy fall, y’all! Click here for a print-at-home version of this recipe.

Promise this is not a trick but a delicious treat – an exclusive recipe for Disney Parks Blog readers! We coaxed our festival chefs to give us a preview of an autumnal recipe from the upcoming EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival (starting Jul. 15 and running through Nov. 20), and they sent us a recipe for Apple Crumble Tarts. My foodie pal, Katie, made them (you know, for me to make sure they are perfect for this post!), and we both can attest they are REALLY good and REALLY cute! Who can resist a tiny apple pie with crumble topping? Not me! Click here for a print-at-home version of this recipe.

You now have the opportunity to pre-order this cookbook featuring these two as well as other devilish dishes. Why not make it a Disney movie night complete with matching your movie choice to a Disney villain recipe? Sounds like a wickedly good time!

Disney World encourages guests to get vaccinated

Florida recently eliminated all COVID-19 restrictions, leaving businesses to decide what measures to implement. Walt Disney World has not made any major changes to its health and safety policies but will be phasing out temperature screenings. The company is also encouraging guests to get vaccinated.

Disney World encourages guests to get vaccinated

The Walt Disney World website has a section with pertinent information on how the park experiences have changed in pandemic times. That section, Know Before You Go, has been updated to include vaccination encouragement. The messaging under the “Welcoming You Back to Walt Disney World Resort” reads:

“As you prepare to visit, please know that we’ve made updates based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies.

It may be different from the last time you visited. But together, we can find new ways to create magical moments—and memories to treasure.

We are aware of the state of Florida’s plans to modify COVID-19 guidelines. We will evaluate this latest guidance and maintain our current health and safety measures at this time, including face covering requirements. We will continue to make thoughtful adjustments to our policy. As COVID-19 vaccines become available, we encourage people to get vaccinated.”

Disney has not made any changes in regards to guests who are fully vaccinated versus those who aren’t. Disney is working hard to make sure that guests feel safe while visiting Walt Disney World.

New Cast Member Costumes help to reduce waste

New Cast Member Costumes help to reduce waste

Disney is embracing a conversational approach with both their theme parks and cast members. In fact, they are placing an emphasis on new eco-friendly cast member outfits. You can see a few of the new Disney outfits below.

For instance, the aprons in these photos are all made from fabric created from recycled plastic water bottles. Each apron is keeping 50 bottles out of the landfill.

These designer costumes are made through a process of upcycling. It’s a novel way to take trash and transform it into something even better than it was before.
