Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort Marks First Project in New 10-Year Plan with a budget of $500 Billion Dollars. The new HeartSong Lodge, being built adjacent to Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa, is set to open in 2023.

The new investment plan will provide Dollywood’s “Dreamer-in-Chief,” Dolly Parton herself, with plenty of opportunities to do what she does best for many years to come. “I’m always dreaming and coming up with new ideas and things I want our guests to experience,” she explained. “We wanted to talk about this last year, but with everything going on, we knew we needed to pause because it just wasn’t the right time to do it. Things are looking brighter and with the popularity of the Smokies soaring, there are more people than ever wanting to visit our area.

“I’m so happy with what we are doing to make sure our guests have a great season this year,” Parton continued, “Being able to announce the new HeartSong Lodge & Resort is just one more way we’re going to be able to help families reconnect, explore and discover together. I truly believe the natural beauty of the Smokies and the warmth of this special place will inspire every guest to nurture the ‘heartsong’ within them.”

Tucked away in a beautiful cove in the rolling foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort will be a well-appointed, reimagined property that features a variety of accommodations and amenities. The resort is being designed to honor everything that makes the Smokies special.

Welcoming the outdoors with high ceilings, exposed beams, and natural layered textures. Dollywood’s newest resort offers lodging options for multi-generational families and couples. Spacious family suites and bunk rooms feature lovely touches that are inspired by the beauty of the Smokies. The five-story resort also features themed suites and loft rooms tucked into the dormers. Many of the resort’s guest rooms include balconies, which provide a “place among the leaves” for families to escape everyday stresses while reconnecting.

This reimagined Smoky Mountain Lodge will feature four-story, lantern-inspired windows in the resort’s welcoming atrium; epic indoor and outdoor pools that provide guests a refreshing escape in all seasons; and a picture-perfect outdoor cove with family gathering spaces, communal firepit and screened-in porch.

With 26,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space, the property will be able to accommodate gatherings of several hundred guests. From the two-story HeartSong Event Center to spacious outdoor spaces and an event lawn, the resort offers numerous options to provide a unique and inspiring setting for groups, from meetings and conventions to family reunions and weddings.

“From the time we announced Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort in 2015, we have seen the entire region emerge as one of the nation’s leading family vacation destinations,” said Eugene Naughton, President of The Dollywood Company. “We’ve been able to help Dolly achieve the dreams she had more than 35 years ago, and with this announcement today, we’re going to be able to put wings on even more of her dreams.”

Dollywood celebrates a year full of exceptional experiences, with each season unlike the next. The park currently celebrates the joy of springtime in the Smokies with the final weekend of the Flower & Food Festival presented by Covenant Health (through June 7). Many great festivals are still planned this year, including Summer Celebration (June 25-July 31), which includes a new evening drone show and dance party every night. Thousands of pumpkins glow to life as part of the Harvest Festival presented by Humana (September 24- October 30), and Smoky Mountain Christmas presented by Humana (November 6- January 2, 2022) celebrates the spirit of the season with millions of beautiful lights, award-winning shows, and festive culinary creations.

Dolly, and Dollywood are a favorite around here. Dollywood is one of our favorite parks and resorts outside the Disney bubble. Moreover, we love Dolly herself for being one of the greatest humans on this wonderful earth. Absolutely we will be booking our stay once reservations open up and spending some time at Dollywood in 2023.

Peach Pie Cupcakes from Sprinkles will only be around for a limited time. Clearly, we recommend running out and trying this new cupcake. Especially, for you southern comfort food-loving guests coming down to Disney Springs over the next week. A ‘Cruella‘ Sequel is Now In Development at Disney. Cruella de Vil is far from done, darlings! Disney is loving the response to their latest live-action film and has already ordered a sequel to the hit film. The news is very exciting for Cruella fans, and the excitement doesn’t stop there. A spokesperson for Disney stated:

“We are very pleased with ‘Cruella’s’ box office success, in conjunction with its strong Disney Plus Premier Access performance to date. The film has been incredibly well received by audiences around the world, with a 97% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes in addition to A’s in every demographic from CinemaScore on opening weekend, ranking it among the most popular of our live-action reimaginings. We look forward to a long run as audiences continue to enjoy this fantastic film.”

“Disney’s “Cruella,” an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. “Cruella,” which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by Emma Thompson. But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.“

It is currently unknown if the original cast will return for the film, but it hard to imagine the sequel moving forward without their leading lady (Emma Stone) and spot-on support cast! Director Craig Gillespie and screenwriter Tony McNamara have already signed on to return for Cruella 2. Disney has yet to share if the film will receive a theatrical release or premiere exclusively on Disney+ when the time comes.

Disney Chairman Bob Iger Sold Roughly 50% of his Shares for Nearly $100 Million. As the previous CEO, now Disney Chairman Bob Iger begins to settle into retirement plans for the end of the year, the accomplished businessman is looking to diversify his portfolio. To usher in the new era, Iger recently sold nearly 50% of his Disney stocks (550,570 shares at an average price of $179.21) for a staggering $98.7 million!

When asked about the recent share sale a representative from Disney shared in a statement, “The value of these shares reflects the significant shareholder value generated under his leadership.” During Iger’s 15-year run as Disney’s CEO, the company saw stock prices rise over seven times their value from 2005. Though he has cashed in a good chunk of his shares, they will not be sitting idle for long. Iger will be using his earnings to invest in other properties and businesses as he coasts into retirement at the end of 2021.

Epcot’s Kringle Bakeri Og Kafe Celebrates Pride Month With A Delicious Rainbow Cake!

Celebrate Pride Month with some delicious Rainbow Cake from Epcot!

This colorful treat is an almond frangipane cake layered with chocolate ganache and topped with sprinkles a white chocolate Mickey rainbow rectangle. Despite all the chocolate, the cake actually tastes more like almond then anything else, making it a light and fluffy treat to have during your visit.

The slice of cake is meant for one person but it’s big enough to share this treat with someone else, while relaxing with a nice view of the world showcase!

You can find this cake at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway pavilion for $4.29.

Twirl Into The Future With The New Tomorrowland Dress

The future is here, or at least the retro version of it! A gorgeous Tomorrowland Dress has just twirled onto the run way from the Disney Dress Shop! This gorgeous dress showcases a stylized horizon of Tomorrowland, with a dreamy galaxy print!

This retro mid-century style dress has a fitted bodice top, with flared cap sleeves that totally have a Jetson’s vibe! The skirt flares out in pleats, with a fun design of Tomorrowland in white! This dress was also designed by one of my favorite Disney designers, Wes Jenkins!

There is a Walt Disney World and Disneyland style. They look very similar, but there are some subtle differences that make them unique to their parks. A notable difference for instance is 2,000 Leagues versus Tomorrowland Speedway.

Share your Pride this June 2021 with what is unquestionably the master list of how and where Walt Disney World celebrates Pride Month. From Photopass and memory maker in addition to all the snacks and treats. Along with specialty merchandise. Disney Parks Blog released everything you needed to know and where to go.

In honor of Pride Month, we are taking the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions, culture, and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community. We work every day to make Disney a place where everyone feels they belong. Through our recent Disney Look changes, we encourage all of our cast to bring their authentic selves to work every day, and we hope our guests see their backgrounds and cultures reflected in the experiences, stories, and offerings in our parks and resorts.

As we reflect on and celebrate the accomplishments and history of the LGBTQ+ community throughout the month of June, we can’t wait to spotlight the stories of some of our incredible cast members, and we’re proud of the collaborative initiatives taking place across Walt Disney World Resort on a number of ways you can show your support and Share Your Pride.

Share your Pride all month long at Walt Disney World

At all four theme parks, Disney PhotoPass lets you Share Your Pride at Walt Disney World Resort with opportunities to create special photo memories, including a nighttime rainbow bokeh frame, rainbow magic swirl and floating rainbow magic shot, rainbow Mickey digital sticker, and fun graphics available for PhotoPass photos. For individualized Capture Your Moment photo sessions, you can choose from a rainbow Mickey or rainbow umbrella prop to include in your special moments. You can even Share Your Pride from home! Mobile phone wallpapers and virtual backgrounds are available to download through June.

At Disney Springs you’ll find murals celebrating Pride Month, as well as a new photo wall inspired by Love, Victor — a Hulu Original Series following Victor on his own journey of self-discovery with Season 2 premiering on June 11. The artwork is dispersed throughout Disney Springs, and the photo wall is located near Disney’s Days of Christmas.

You’ll be able to find our newly launched Pride collection at our Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, resorts, and Disney Springs featuring our beloved brands and characters. Many retail locations at Disney Springs are also celebrating Pride Month with exclusive collections benefitting and supporting LGBTQ+ nonprofits and organizations. Just a few include:

Basin – A portion of proceeds of this month’s bath bombs and soaps sales will benefit GLSEN, an educational organization working to end discrimination and prompt inclusion of LGBTQ+ students in K-12 schools.
Havaianas – Add some color to your summer wardrobe with havaianas’ Pride Collection. Seven percent of net sales benefit All Out, an international organization in support of the rights of the LBGTQ+ community.
Kate Spade New York – In celebration of Pride Month, Kate Spade New York is partnering with the Trevor Project, an organization providing mental health support and crisis intervention services to LGBTQ+ youth. Now through July 3, 2021, 20% of profits will benefit the Trevor Project with a minimum donation of $62,000 and maximum donation of $150,000.
Levi’s – Levi’s is proud to feature their new Levi’s Pride Collection that celebrates and respects all pronouns. In support of this collection, Levi’s is making an annual donation to OutRight Action International, an organization working to advance human rights for LGBTQIA+ people all over the world.
Lilly Pulitzer – Join Lilly Pulitzer on Saturday, June 12 from 12-4 p.m. to shop and support the onePULSE Foundation whose mission is to create and support a memorial that opens hearts, a museum that opens minds, educational programs that open eyes and legacy scholarships that open doors. 10% of proceeds during these special shopping hours will be donated to the onePULSE Foundation.
M&M’s – Love is always colorful at M&M’s with new PRIDE-inspired chocolates and merchandise. M&M’s is supporting True Colors Foundation, a nonprofit organization implementing innovative solutions to youth homelessness focusing on the unique experiences of the LGBTQ youth.
The LEGO Store – Celebrate the power of playing together with LEGO’s “Everyone is Awesome” colorful new set celebrating positivity and kindness in families and communities around our world. (Available while supplies last.)
UGG – Shop the new UGG Pride Collection celebrating identity and love with all-gender footwear, accessories, and apparel in Pride-inspired colorways! With a maximum of $125,000, UGG will donate $25 per pair of Disco Stripes purchased to GLAAD — a nonprofit accelerating acceptance and advancing equality.

Avengers Campus is officially open in Disney California Adventure and the land is fantastic! Guests get to live out their superhero dreams. The land features some great photo opportunities and one is just for Legacy Passholders.

Disneyland Legacy Passholders can take a photo posing like a superhero in front of the Avengers “A”.

Disneyland Passholders who held active Passports as of March 14, 2020 are now Disneyland Resort Legacy Passholders. Legacy Passholders can still enjoy some of those ever-so-magical extras. One of those magical extras includes photo ops like this!

More Walt Disney World theme park hours have been released through August. Hours are now available for August 15 through August 21.

Disney World Theme Park Hours released through August 21st

Magic Kingdom is scheduled to be open daily from 9 am to 9 pm.

Epcot is scheduled to be open from 11 am to 9 pm every day.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be open from 9 am to 7 pm every day that week.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is scheduled to be open from 8 am to 6 pm daily that week.

Great news for those planning a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! You can now make reservations for Tusker House Restaurant!

Bookings start Friday, June 4th. Graze on a bountiful family-style menu brimming with African-inspired flavors at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

During the modified character experience, guests will enjoy delicious family-style entrees inspired by the flavors of Africa and can snap photos of Donald Duck and friends, dressed in their safari best as they promenade through the restaurant.
