Favorite Doctor Strange Character makes an appearance in Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Favorite Doctor Strange Character makes an appearance in Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

We are beginning to see the arrival Phase Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even though Black Widow premieres in just a few more days, a recent trailer has fans feeling thrilled about the return of some familiar faces in the next MCU chapter!

The latest trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings shows a popular Doctor Strange character is joining the action. Wong, the mystical ally and friend of Doctor Strange, appears as a part of the cast during a movie scene. It’s been rumored for a while that actor Benedict Wong was spotted on set, but now there’s official confirmation his character will be in the Shang-Chi movie. It’ll be fun to see the return of this particular Master of the Mystic Arts!

But that’s not all! Another surprise MCU character has an appearance in the new movie trailer. The Abomination makes his return to the big screen in a fight scene near the end of the trailer. If you need a a refresher, the Abomination is a Hulk villain who once battled the big green Avenger in New York’s Harlem. This one is definitely a throwback because no one has seen the villain since the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie. We’ll have to wait and see what presence both characters mean for Shang-Chi’s adventure!

Did you know each design takes between 2 to 3 months to develop? The park’s chefs consult with Walt Disney Imagineers and character artists to ensure each dessert capture the essence of the characters. Once the design is approved, simple easy to follow steps are created so every cast member around the parks can recreate it.

Want to know how make them at home? Luckily for you, we have the instruction so you’re welcome!:

MICKEY CARAMEL APPLES

INGREDIENTS:

  • Apples
  • Bag of soft caramels
  • Powdered sugar
  • Marshmallows
  • Melted milk chocolate
  • Red sanding sugar
  • Melted white chocolate
  • Yellow jelly beans
Mickey's Caramel Apples

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • First scrub each apple, that waxy sheen is what typically causes hot caramel to slide off the apple after you dip it. Make sure each apple is dry before inserting a wooden stick into the stems.
  • Next, add powdered sugar to your caramel sauce. Disney uses a 5 to 1 ratio of caramel to powdered sugar to thicken the sauce. An 11oz bag of soft caramels will coat four apples. Follow the package directions to melt the caramel, then gradually stir in about 1/4 cups of powdered sugar. Once the caramel is smooth and glossy, dip each apple.
  • Let the apples cool at room temperature. Don’t pop them in the fridge; they’ll get sticky with condensation. Once the caramel has set and is no longer tacky to the touch, it’s time to decorate.
  • Use the marshmallows for Mickey’s ears. Cut a lengthwise silver from each marshmallow and pop it, cut-side down, on either side of the wooden stick. It should be sticky enough to adhere to the apple on its own.
  • Dip the entire apple, and marshmallow ears in melted milk chocolate. Let it cool completely (another 20 minutes at room temperature) before moving to the next step.
  • Melt and dip again. Fill a bowl with red sanding sugar. Then, melt a bowl of white chocolate. Dip the apple halfway in the white chocolate, letting any excess chocolate drip off. Before the chocolate hardens, dip it in the red sanding sugar to form Mickey’s pants.
  • As the finishing touch, add two yellow jelly beans that will serve as the buttons on Mickey’s pants. Gently press them on, about a half inch apart, and let the apple cool.

Enjoy!
