Disney Imagineers shared new details behind Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure!
Veronica Hebbard took us on a little journey through the attraction and the expanded France pavilion area that will open on October 1st, 2021 just in time for Walt Disney World 50th anniversary!
When you first enter the new area, you will notice the the pathways look like decomposed granite giving it that Parisian look. And on the railing a rat motif was used, at least on top part.
One super cute detail is Chef Remy making an appearance on the bench legs! Adorable right? Even when you are resting from a busy day at the park, Remy will be there plus the location would make a very cute photo spot!
The D23 Treasures From The Vault is this year’s D23 collectible plush assortment! The assortment began releasing plush in January inspired by many classic characters throughout Disney history. You can get each of these collectibles online now at Amazon.com!
D23 Treasures From The Vault
January – Lady
The first release was our darling pup Lady! This plush is inspired by one of the many treasures that can be found in Walt Disney’s faithfully re-constructed office suite at the Walt Disney Studio, a Lady Plush from the 1955 movie Lady and the Tramp.
February – Mickey & Minnie
Mickey and Minnie are the eternal classic duo we can never forget. This plush pair is inspired by the classic look of the original cartoons and toys.
March – Pinocchio
The March collectible features Pinocchio from Walt Disney’s second full-length feature film! Although not made from wood, this plush has details like designs that look like hinges at the joints.
April – Bambi
Oh, Bambi, I’ll admit this is the first movie that ever made me cry. This was such a touching classic film and a breakthrough in animation for how incredible the animal movements were. To create the sophisticated illustrations, Disney animators studied the movements and anatomy of two live deer, named Bambi and Faline, that lived in a pen at Disney’s Hyperion Studios.
May – Donald
Donald Duck is my all-time favorite classic Disney character, so this is obviously my favorite choice from the D23 Tresaures! The May plush features Donald as seen in the classic films “Saludos Amigos” and “The Three Caballeros”.
June – Goofy
The story of Goofy is a legendary Hollywood success story. Distinguished by his distinctive laugh, Goofy made his first appearance as a member of the audience in the cartoon short “Mickey’s Revue” (1932). He’s been entertaining us with chuckles ever since, and this plush really captures the mirthfulness of the character.
July – Chip and Dale
The most recent edition to the collection is Chip and Dale! Chip and Dale made their first appearance as two mischievous unnamed chipmunks in the 1943 cartoon short Private Pluto. These two have been delighting us ever since from zany antagonists to heroic Rescue Rangers!
With so many great characters for the D23 Treasures, I wonder what we can look forward to in August? Which of plush from the D23 Treasures is your favorite?

Dig into Breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Tusker House reopened last month and we were able to finally get a reservation and enjoy a great breakfast. Our real goal was getting to see Donald and Daisy in their Jungle outfits along with Mickey and Goofy! The high note though is breakfast and the Simba Waffles. Check out some of our images below.
Say Jambo to a delightful family-style menu of fantastic favorites and new discoveries! For breakfast, munch on favorites like Safari Bread, Mickey and Simba Waffles along with Durban Chicken and Egg Curry with Jasmine Rice. I can honestly say, the Egg Curry is a surprise. It was over the top delicious. I never would have thought to try and eat something like this, and thankfully we did. Furthermore, the rest of the family-style meal did not disappoint in any way.
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom may be our favorite park dining experience. It stands up to ‘Ohana in our humble opinions. You should try it for yourselves and decide.
Tusker House Restaurant
Graze on a bountiful family-style menu brimming with African-inspired flavors and see host Donald Duck and his Disney friends.

Today Disney’s Polynesian Resort reopens to guests at Walt Disney World! Also officially reopening today is Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto & the Tiki Terrace!
This fan-favorite tiki bar captures the romance of the South Seas through unique food and drinks has been closed since the start of the pandemic back in 2020.
Delicious cocktails include the Polynesian Pearl, HippopotoMai-Tai, Tahitian Torch and the Dark & Tropical Stormy. To prove to your friends that you visited the grotto, you can even order your cocktail served in a collectible, Disney-exclusive tiki mug.
Venture into this tranquil hideaway for an enchanting evening packed with fantastic fun and delightful surprises. Explore the whimsically themed lounge—festooned with ancient artifacts and exotic treasures—or set sail for the open-air Tiki Terrace for a relaxing sip or nibble under the starry sky.
Does the name Trader Sam sound familiar? If you’re a long-time Disney fan, it should. Many years ago, famed Adventureland explorer Trader Sam was bitten by the bartending bug. And ever since then, Sam has searched for exotic ingredients to mix into magical libations.
Tucked away under the lush fronds of swaying palm trees, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is conveniently located steps away from the lavish lobby of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto welcomes the whole family—including children—from opening until 8:00 PM. After 8:00 PM, only Guests 21 years of age or older may visit.
Construction has been continuing for Tron Lightcycle Run in the Magic Kingdom. Recently the cranes have been removed and guests can see a blue tarp being added to the attraction.
A look at where the Tron track enters the show or gravity building. This is reached after a launch at ground level into an outdoor swoop of track. pic.twitter.com/4bZ8MndFVr
Here is a long-distance view so you can see how Tron Lightcycle Run will look at the Magic Kingdom entrance.
We still don’t have an opening date for Tron Lightcycle Run, we know it won’t be ready for the Disney World 50th Anniversary… Hopefully, it will be ready sometime in 2022.
The new Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary commercial is calling everyone to the World’s Most Magical Celebration!
An 18 month long event that will start on October 1st with EARidescent magic, including a new fireworks show! As you can see in the new commercial, fireworks were added at the end hinting to the nighttime spectacular that will debut later this year.
Disney Enchantment will take guests on a journey filled with adventure, wonder and empowerment inspiring everyone to believe in magic! It will also feature music, enhanced lighting, amazing fireworks and immersive projection effects that will extend from Cinderella Castle to Main Street U.S.A.
The Main Street Confectionery will apparently be closed for a few more months at the Magic Kingdom. When the well-known sweet shop closed on March 29, 2021, all we knew was that it would be closed for a couple of months or more. We still don’t have a definitive opening date. However, a glance at Walt Disney World’s calendar shows that the Confectionery will at least remain closed through October 2nd.
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration will begin October 1st. We’ve seen a lot of attractions, restaurants, and shops close for renovations as a result. Even the smallest details are being tended to, to ensure that Disney World looks its best at the semi-centennial. The Confectionery is being updated with a fresh look, an expanded layout, and interactive ways to personalize your treats. Currently, many of your favorite snacks are still available for purchase in the Emporium and Main Street Cinema.
If you’ve never stepped foot in the Main Street Confectionary, you have better willpower than most. But you’re also missing out. While there are plenty of spots to eat a sweet treat at Walt Disney World, the Confectionery caters to a rabid sweet tooth. They have grab-and-go desserts that you can eat immediately, take to your hotel, or pack in your suitcase. Whether you prefer cake pops, Krispy treats, fudge, cookies, or something else entirely, you’re sure to be pleasantly surprised. I never leave empty-handed.
We can only hope the Main Street Confectionery manages to be finished ahead of schedule because we miss the inside of this palace of sweets. But no matter what, we can trust that the shop will look fantastic when it’s done!
Stitch has done it again! He’s crashed a Disney classic, leaving nothing but new collectible Disney items. This time, his plush toy, MagicBand, and pin feature Disney’s Aladdin. The limited release plush has already sold out online, so those of you in the Orlando area who still want to snag this month’s entry will want to run (don’t walk) to Disney Springs today. World of Disney is now selling the plush! But only until they run out!
While some of the plushes in this collection have been a bit more bizarre than cute, the Aladdin Stitch veers toward the latter. He has a blue body, covered in two Magic Lamp patterns. He’s also wearing Abu’s hat. The plush is listed at $29.99 on the ShopDisney website.
This plush is the sixth entry in the 12-month series. We’ve also seen entries featuring Pinocchio, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Lady and the Tramp. They’ve come out to mixed reviews but manage to sell out regardless. Each plush has come out alongside a MagicBand and a pin. This month’s pin will reportedly be available at World of Disney at an undisclosed later date.
If you’ve been collecting the Stitch Crashes Disney collection, or if you think you need to start, head over to Disney Springs ASAP and grab the Stitch Crashes Aladdin plush at World of Disney! He is there today but won’t be for long.
Do you have any of the Stitch Crashes Disney collections? Which is your favorite entry so far?
‘Loki’ Director Discusses the Introduction and Future of Kang in the MCU. SPOILER ALERT: This post will discuss heavy spoilers for the Loki Season 1 Finale. If you do not wish to have aspects of the show and future Marvel movies ruined for you, we recommend you stop reading past at this point. Thank-you!
Casting news had pegged Jonathan Majors joining the MCU as Kang the Conqueror, and many were even more surprised to see Majors featured in the season 1 finale of ‘Loki’ when previous news had indicated Jonathan would be featured in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Though Majors will be featured as Kang the Conqueror in the new Ant-Man and the Wasp sequel, we got to meet Kang initially as a variant of himself in the series (refered to as “He Who Remains”) and were left with a word of warning: that upon his death Kang (or potentially Kangs plural) will rock the MCU in a way even Thanos couldn’t have imagined. Given the gravity of Thanos’ presence in the MCU previously, this new threat will make the journey into Phase 4 and beyond even more thrilling as we learn how this passing of the sacred timeline threshold and reemerging of the Multiverse will affect the heroes we love, and the villains we love to hate.
Series Director and Executive Producer Kate Herron shared with Marvel.com, “It sets the table for future outings with them. It was a massive responsibility and privileged to bring that character to the screen. He’s such a different villain to Thanos. I remember what I saw in the outline when I first pitched [to direct the series]. I was [like], ‘It would be awesome if we got to do that.’ But things can change at the drop of a hat. I thought, ‘Well, maybe they’ll change it and say we’re not allowed.’ But they never did. That’s what’s so exciting about these TV shows, that they are going to interconnect with the movies in a big way. I found that really exciting, not only as a fan but just as a filmmaker.”
Needless to say, many fans had wondered how the MCU would move forward without its figureheads such as Tony Stark’s Iron Man, Steve Roger’s Captain America, and Natasha’s Black Widow, and now it seems the villains are about to thrive as our heroes find their bearings in the Multiverse.
Are you excited for the potential as we wait for titles such as Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania? What other variants would you love to see in the MCU? Did you enjoy the series and are you excited for season 2? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Marvel!
Princess Leia Has Been Cast for the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Star Wars Series Coming to Disney+. The highly anticipated Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi will take place 10 years after the events featured in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and we now have our first look at the new actress who will take on the role of Princess Leia Organa. Vivien Lyra Blair (Bird Box, We Can Be Heroes) has been cast in the iconic role of Leia for the upcoming series.
Though she may be young, Vivien’s part in the series will be no small feat, according to those close to the production, Young Princess Leia will be a primary character in the series and is described as “the impetus for the whole show … [who] gets Obi-Wan into another adventure.”
For those who may be wondering, series lead Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) has shared that “it’s possible” we will see a young Luke Skywalker as well, but he would not play an interactive role in the series given Luke’s well-known origin story from A New Hope, which kicked off with Luke and Ben Kenobi’s meeting on Tatooine.
Joining McGregor are fellow Revenge of the Sith stars Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader), Joel Edgerton (Owen Lars), and Bonnie Piesse (Beru Lars). The Star Wars alumni will be joined by Star Wars newcomers Kumail Nanjiani (Marvel’s Eternals), Sung Kang (the Fast & Furious franchise), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), Indira Varma (Mission: Impossible 7), Rupert Friend (Homeland), Simone Kessell (Terra Nova), and Benny Safdie (Good Time) in unspecified roles.
