State of California now recommending masks indoors regardless of vaccination status

With Covid-19 cases increasing, the state of California is now recommending all individuals regardless of vaccination status wear masks while indoors again. Last month the state lifted most of its pandemic restrictions leaving it up to businesses to decide what policies to implement.

“The Delta variant has caused a sharp increase in hospitalizations and case rates across the state. We are recommending masking in indoor public places to slow the spread while we continue efforts to get more Californians vaccinated,” Dr. Tomás Aragón, director of the California Department of Public Health and state public health officer said.

The CDC also recently updated its COVID-19 guidance to recommend all individuals mask up indoors in areas with high transmission rates. Most of California falls into the “high” or “substantial” category so state health officials are recommending universal masking for indoor settings.

“This adds an extra precautionary measure for all to reduce the transmission of COVID-19, especially in communities currently seeing the highest transmission rates,” the state guidance says.

As of publication, Disneyland has not made any changes to its face mask policy. Face coverings are required for non-vaccinated guests while indoors but vaccinated guests can go mask-free.

If the Gorilla throwing poop wasn’t weird enough the TikTok voice-over is kinda creepy too. Goes to show you, never know what you’ll will see at Disney…

Come relax up in Topanga & get away! 1 Bedroom Guest House located in the Heart of the canyon for nightly & weekly rentals! The entire property has waterfalls, ponds & a tropical themed environment. The guest house has 1 queen sized bed & can accommodate a maximum of two guests comfortably. There is also a kitchenette with mini fridge, stovetop, keurig coffee maker, dishes/pots/pans, condiments, oil, seasons & washer/dryer on site (the washer/dryer is for stays of 5+ days). Spoiler-Free Review of Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’. The new Jungle Cruise movie has seen several long-term delays due to changes in production and the COVID-19 pandemic and will now premiere in theaters and via Disney+ Premier Access on July 30, 2021. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramírez, and Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti “in the adventure of a lifetime on Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE, a rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton.”

In the film, Dr. Lily Houghton travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila–his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities–possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate–and mankind’s–hangs in the balance.

Disney’s Jungle Cruise relies on the playful themes of the Disney Parks attractions of the same name, and though this is a fun aspect for fans of the Disney Parks like myself, we could easily tell the jokes would fall flat after the first eye-roll-inducing use for less invested fans. Like several other reporters, I did notice a similar feel to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and it’s hard to not see the comparison as the story continues. The films follow a similar formula: witty and cunning lead characters, a mysterious mission that isn’t quite what it seems, and egotistical supporting roles that add to an already drawn-out story.

Though we did enjoy the film overall, there is something to be said about it feeling like an unnecessary story. This has been a chief complaint for many Disney fans regarding the latest slew of live-action films and remakes. The original stories are what set Disney apart from other entertainment companies, and the remakes and attraction-inspired films just leave something more to be desired.

On that note: the feel of the film has nothing to do with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt’s performances. The two made an excellent pairing for this adventure and were the saving grace of the movie. As promised we won’t spoil anything about the film’s story, but getting to see these two grow starting as strangers in the beginning and facing a life-threatening adventure was a thrill of its own and didn’t need to be called “Jungle Cruise” to make us invested in the story.

To sum it all up, we think that fans will enjoy Disney’s Jungle Cruise and will enjoy streaming the movie on Disney+ for years to come, but adventure and action lovers will not want to miss their chance to see it in theaters. A lot of you remember that day and the excitement it brought. You remember watching Walt Disney on television on Sunday nights in the 1960s and wishing you could go to Disney Land – but now the Magic Kingdom was coming to you!

Maybe you tried to scout out the mysterious construction sites to sneak a backstage peek. Maybe you applied for jobs or were in the band that played on opening day.

Whatever your memories are about Walt Disney World coming to town, they are important to Central Florida’s history! Please join us at our special Disney World at 50 History Harvest, and bring photos and other memorabilia, too! Museum staff will be present to chat about possible donations, or if you’re not ready to part with any items you can enjoy a day of reminiscing and sharing.

New Marvel Studios’ ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ Trailer. The new official trailer for Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ is here and now we have a closer look at the epic adventure in store!

“Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), a young Super Hero whose journey of self-discovery unfolds in this never-before-seen origin story. Destin Daniel Cretton, the film’s director and one of the writers, is excited to bring Shang-Chi’s story to the big screen. “Shang-Chi’s main problem in his life is rooted in not knowing who he really is,” says Cretton. “He has to learn how to own every part of himself. If he doesn’t allow himself to look at all of it—the good, the bad, the light and the dark—and to own it all, he won’t be able to reach his full potential.”

Refreshing Mint Julep From Disneyland To Make At Home!

There’s nothing like a nice afternoon at Disneyland Park with a refreshing Mint Julep in your hand and some delicious Mickey beignets!

Located in New Orleans Square, this snack location is a must stop during your visit, specially after riding Pirates of the Caribbean or The Haunted Mansion.

Don’t have plans to visit Disneyland anytime soon? No worries, you can recreate this drink with this recipe, its super easy!:

MINT JULEP

INGREDIENTS:

5 cups of water
1 cup of granulated sugar
1/4 cup of creme de Menthe syrup (if you can’t find it, check the recipe below)
3 tsp of lime juice concentrate
1 cup of lemonade concentrate
Maraschino cherries
1/2 lemon cut into wedges
Skewers
Mint leaves
Ice
Club soda (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine sugar and water and bring to a boil in a medium saucepan.
When the sugar is completely melted, turn off heat and add in creme de menthe syrup or mint simple syrup.
Let cool for about 10 minutes.
Transfer to a pitcher and add in lime juice and lemonade concentrate and stir well.
Serve chilled over 1 cup of ice in a tall glass.
Top with 2 maraschino cherries, 1 lemon wedge skewer and a mint leaf.

To make the Mint Simple Syrup:

Melt equal parts of granulated sugar into water in a saucepan, then turn down the heat to a simmer.
Muddle in double the amount of fresh mint leaves and simmer for about 10 minutes.
1 cup sugar + 1 cup water + 2 cups mint will make a good amounts for your next few batches of Mint Julep.

Bautista, aka “The Streamer” promoted The Disney Bundle which includes subscriptions to Disney+, ESPN+, and the Hulu plan you select for a discounted price, as compared to the retail price of each subscription when purchased separately. First Behind the Scenes Look at ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ Marvel fans are eager for the Black Panther sequel film and Disney+ series, and now we have our first look at a set from the upcoming movie! A video shared by @coolfreetv on Instagram featured a panoramic look at a set from Wakanda.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige shared, “It’s clearly very emotional [on set] without Chad. But everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans. We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.”

Wakanda Forever is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia, and will star Letitia Wright (Shuri), Angela Bassett (Queen Mother Ramonda), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Danai Gurira (General Okoye), Martin Freeman (Everett K. Ross), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and rumored to be joining the cast is Tenoch Huerta in an unspecified role, also rumored to be Namor.

Black Panther 2 directed and written by Ryan Coogler is expected to premiere on July 8, 2022, in theaters. A new live-action series, Black Panther: Kingdom of Wakanda is currently in the works for Disney+ and will feature Danai Gurira as General Okoye. Edna Mode statue revealed as next Disney Fab 50 Character Collection

No capes! Edna Mode is joining the celebration for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!

The iconic Incredibles character will be joined by 50 characters as part of the “Disney Fab 50,” a new collection of golden sculptures debuting Oct. 1, 2021, across all four Walt Disney World theme parks as part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” honoring the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale will be part of a new collection of special golden character sculptures debuting Oct. 1st across the four Walt Disney World theme parks.

There will be 50 characters featured overall, and guests will be able to interact with the “Disney Fab 50” in surprising ways as part of the 50th-anniversary celebration.

During the magical celebration, which begins on Oct. 1st, you’ll be able to find these golden character sculptures throughout all four of the Resort’s parks. And leading up to their appearances, friends from around the Disney company will be announcing which characters you can expect to see.

You can also virtually “collect” each golden Disney character sculpture on Instagram. To add a sculpture to Instagram Collections, just tap and hold the bookmark icon. Then, on the “Save to” screen, tap the collection where you want to save the image or create a new collection. Happy hunting!

Special Disney World 50th Anniversary Dining Experience coming to California Grill

Starting on October 1st Walt Disney World will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary. Disney will be commemorating this momentous occasion with an 18th celebration at the Disney World Theme Parks, Resorts and so much more.

While details are a little scarce at the moment one of the most unique Dining Locations at Walt Disney World will be celebrating the 50th with a special dining experience.

Posted on the California Grill web page they have shared the following information:

California Grill is currently unavailable for bookings after October 2 as we create a special dining experience for the 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort.

California Grill offers one of the best fireworks dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort.

Lights dim as the music is piped into the restaurant—immersing Guests in the magic of the night.

A new nighttime spectacular, “Disney Enchantment,” will help kick off the 50th-anniversary festivities when it debuts on Oct. 1st at the Magic Kingdom.

Created to launch with “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” this evening extravaganza will take guests on a journey filled with adventure, wonder and empowerment. Inspiring everyone to believe in magic, “Disney Enchantment” will feature music, enhanced lighting, stunning fireworks and, for the first time, immersive projection effects that extend from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A.

It’s a safe bet that with Happily Ever After departing in September we will see a Disney Enchantment/50th Anniversary special dining experience coming to California Grill starting on October 2nd.

In the past, Disney has surprised us with the Special Dining Experience by loading the menu to the Disney World website. While looking for more information today nothing was listed.

I am sure the closer we get to October 1st there will be an official announcement for the California Grill special Disney World 50th Dining Experience.
