Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Closing for LONG Refurbishment in 2023 Possible Retheme Coming!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios will be closed starting on February 20th, 2023. While no details have been officially announced the gossip around the internet is that one of our favorite coasters at Disney World MIGHT be getting a retheme.

What we do know is that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be going down starting at the end of February and won’t reopen till the summer of 2023. That seems like a really long time for just a refurbishment.

Speculation is swirling since Universal Music Group Gained Control of the Aerosmith Catalog back in 2021 that a retheme might be coming. I for one LOVE Aerosmith being a part of the Rock n Roller Coaster but this would be a good time to add some Disney IP to this coaster.

I would take this gossip (which we have seen a few times) with a grain of salt and if you had plans to visit Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster between February 20th and sometime in the Summer you might want to make other arrrangements.

Till then stay tuned to Chip and Company for more details as we get them!

Marvel’s Eternals 2 in the Works According to New Update

Earlier this year, Patton Oswalt teased on the Today show that Eternals 2 was in the works. Oswalt appears in one of the post-credit scenes as Pip the Troll. Oswalt’s co-star said it was all a big misunderstanding, and Eternals 2 had not been green-lit. However, new information from the talent agency of Don Lee may have spilled the beans once again.

Fans may notice that the talent agency of Ma Dong-seok/Don Lee has listed ‘Eternals 2’ as a future project for the actor. According to the article posted in the Tweet:

The agency said, “As the production of the drama ‘Hive’ has become unclear, many works are being discussed to capture Ma Dong-seok, such as many movies and dramas scheduled for production next year.”

“Currently, Ma Dong-seok is filming ‘Criminal City 4’, ‘Holy Night: Demon Hunters’, ‘Wilderness’, and ‘Criminal City 3’ which are about to be released, and he also appears in and produces ‘Eternals 2’ and global projects. scheduled,” he added.

We have shared some of our selfies of times we have met Mr. Vahle all year, and one thing that we are aways aware of is how humble he is, yet in charge. Finn Jones wants to step into the boots of Danny Rand one more time, especially since other Defenders are joining the MCU. Jones said, “Of course, I would! I’d love another chance… I care about [Danny Rand] deeply. I believe in that character; I believe there is a lot of work that can be done,.”

“There’s something about the underdog. I love the underdog narrative. I love the ability to prove someone wrong. And I want to prove all those [doubters] wrong. I know I have it in me, and I know I can give the Danny Rand performance that fans want and I know is possible.”

Neil Patrick Harris Celebrates Most Amazing Disney Adventure Last Week with Family and Friends

Neil Patrick Harris shared some Disney firsts on his Instagram, following his narration duties at EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional. This year marked the 10th time Neil Patrick Harris has served as the Master of Ceremonies for the holiday event. Harris and his family snapped lots of beautiful pictures while in the parks and shared them on his social media platform along with the caption:

“We had a most amazing Disney adventure last week! I got to narrate the exquisite Candlelight Processional (my 10th year!), our family created new holiday memories, and we brought friends who had never been to WDW before! Who doesn’t love Disney firsts!

Thank you @waltdisneyworld for showing such kindness to our family, for allowing Candlelight to exist, and for making so many dreams come true. Our family deeply appreciates it.”

It’s hard to imagine that Disney Superfan Neil Patrick Harris has “Disney Firsts,” but with all the options at Disney, it’s not hard to believe that even the most devout park goers can always experience something new.

Harris was joined by friend and Disney first-timer Mariska Hargitay and her family (husband Peter Herman and kids August, 16, Amaya, 11, and Andrew, 10). Ms. Hargitay was also in town to narrate the Candlelight processional as well.

Southwest Flight Cancellations Could Extend Past New Year’s Day

Southwest flight cancellations have been all over the news lately. Many airlines have canceled flights over the holiday weekend due to a deadly snow “bomb cyclone” but Southwest’s cancellations have far exceded the other airlines’.

southwest

Yesterday, almost 3,000 of the nearly 3,300 flights canceled were Southwest flights. Over 2,600 of today’s Southwest flights have been canceled as well. Southwest has also reportedly canceled all flights to and from Southern California through December 31.

The main reason being reported for these cancellations is the winter storm impacting two of Southwest Airlines’ major hubs, Chicago and Denver.

US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has said he “will be holding them accountable for their responsibilities to customers, both to get them through this situation and to make sure that this can’t happen again.” The US Department of Transportation has also said they will be investigating “whether cancellations were controllable and if Southwest is complying with its customer service plan.”

Southwest did release a statement:

“Our heartfelt apologies for this are just beginning. We’re working with safety at the forefront to urgently address wide-scale disruption by rebalancing the airline and repositioning crews and our fleet ultimately to best serve all who plan to travel with us. We were fully staffed and prepared for the approaching holiday weekend when the severe weather swept across the continent, where Southwest is the largest carrier in 23 of the top 25 travel markets in the U.S. This forced daily changes to our flight schedule at a volume and magnitude that still has the tools our teams use to recover the airline operating at capacity.”

Many travelers have been left stranded, without luggage, or severely delayed in arriving at their destination. It doesn’t look like Southwest will get their act together any time soon either.

Have your travel plans been impacted by these cancellations?
