In Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Scott Lang has written a memoir about his life as a Super Hero and Avenger — and it’s a bestseller! As the movie opens, Scott is currently on a book tour for Look Out for The Little Guy, doing readings at bookshops and smiling for the camera.

In close association with Marvel Studios and the filmmakers, Hyperion Avenue is bringing the book seen in the movie to real life, with Scott Lang’s bracingly honest account of his struggles and triumphs, including the official account of what really happened between The Avengers and Thanos.
In a statement, Scott Lang explained:

Disney World Unions Almost Unanimously Reject Disney’s $1 Pay Raise. Union Members making up 6 different Disney Unions outright rejected Walt Disney World’s most recent proposal, Of the 14,263 votes cast, over 96% voted NO, in an outright rebuff.
“I think the workers at Disney World have sent a loud message that $1 is not enough. The company need to provide a meaningful wage increase that addresses the economic issues that workers are facing,” said Matt Hollis, president of the Service Trades Council Union
Union negotiators are demanding an immediate $3-an-hour raise, which would be about a 20% pay hike for the 75% of workers now earning $15 an hour. The union and rank-and-file members say workers wouldn’t be able to afford to live in central Florida under the company’s offer.
Disney World basically is offering a $1 an-hour raise every year for the next 5 years. Disney workers are facing extreme financial difficulties including inflation, which has caused the price of food and rent to skyrocket. $16.00 per hour in 2023 does not keep up with the rising cost of living. Every worker needs an initial raise larger than $1.00 to address these concerns.
This is an ongoing situation, and we do not know what is next. Will Disney come back to the table? The STCU, which is made of 6 different unions has been working without a contract since October 1st, 2022.
Scaffolding Erected as Retheming of Splash Mountain Begins. The Southern Dome Salt Company is the new owner of Splash Mountain in Disney’s Magic Kingdom, and they are wasting no time retheming the mountain from the tales of reconstruction and Uncle Remus’s stories, to the new Tiana’s Foods – an employee-owned cooperative.
Scaffolding and an enormous crane are now set up at the old ride. The crane we noticed was lifting in pallets of concrete blocks. The scaffolding is set up below the drop for crews to walk over the waterways. They are also set up in the tunnel areas for workers to reach higher levels while they remove old theming.
yesterday we found out some more details on the backstory of the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, so it appears Walt Disney Imagineering is moving fast to get the ride ready for a 2024 opening.
Tiana wants to give a big thanks to her family and friends and the entire community for all the support they’ve given her by throwing an amazing party during the Mardi Gras season. When it turns out there’s been a bit of a mix–up with the party preparations, Tiana invites us to meet her at Tiana’s Foods to help with the missing ingredient for the party.
When we arrive, we may see that Tiana spruced up the company’s facilities with vibrant art from local artists. Food for the party is being prepared and beignets are being loaded into crates for the celebration. All kinds of preparations are underway for the journey into the bayou with Tiana, along with new and familiar friends from the animated film.

Picking up where that story left off, Tiana continues bringing people together with Tiana’s Foods, another treasured meeting place to spend time together and celebrate a diverse community. Tiana is also working with cooperative members to teach gardening and cooking to children of all ages, and inspiring other women to run successful businesses as the brand grows nationwide.

Frozone & Edna Mode Meet & Greet Happening Now in Hollywood Studios. What a great week at Walt Disney World. Especially if you enjoy character meet & greets as we do. With Powerline Max and his dad Goofy now out across from The Muppets, and Elastigirl and Mr. Incredible showing off over by Echo Lake, Hollywood Studios is full of Characters everyone will love.
We can now add to the growing list of characters, Frozone and Edna “E” Mode trading off times in the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre area. By the grassy knoll closest to Echo lake. If you are in that area you could possibly see all four of Pixar’s The Incredible characters.
These characters are guaranteed to be around until at least February 14th and maybe around longer. We haven’t heard officially if they will be meeting and greeting daily yet. The Character map on the My Disney Experience app has not been updated to add in Frozone and Edna Mode. They have added the other Incredible characters though.
The Superbowl, television’s biggest event of the year, will take place next Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles square off on February 12, 2023. Fans of both teams will be excited to watch the game, but casual viewers tune in for the biggest commercials of the year.
Disney will use the big stage to premier their upcoming film projects. Deadline has teased that we are getting several major Marvel and Live Action Super Bowl trailers (which will also be available online.) Trailers for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,’ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, ‘The Little Mermaid,’ and ‘Elemental’ are expected to drop during the Superbowl.
We should also be on the lookout for ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ and potential Super Bowl trailers from ‘The Marvels.’ We could be surprised by another upcoming project like Marvel’s ‘Secret Wars’ or be treated to another look at Mandalorian Season 3 to promote Disney+.

Jim Carrey Returning For The Grinch 2. Surprisingly, there may just be an even larger heart in Jim Carrey after he may have changed his mind about returning to the Grinch character. Reports of super long makeup and costuming, and long delays on the original set have not deterred him from returning. Accodinging to Giant Freakin Robot and their sources, it has been confirmed we will see a sequel.

Why is The Grinch (Carrey) such a grouch? This will be a turnaround for Mr. Carrey who did not want to do any more sequels saying “I find sequels are a function of commerce for the most part. At least the two I’ve done, they were characters I enjoyed doing, but I did find myself almost parroting myself at that point.”

Tiana’s Mardi Gras Milkshake is a Hit at Hollywood Studios.
As February begins, guests of Walt Disney World Resort can explore new and traditional ways to “Celebrate Soulfully” during Black History Month with a variety of experiences to celebrate, educate and honor Black heritage and culture throughout the resort.
From art to food to music and more, there are many opportunities to feel soulful, including several new ones debuting in February. We got a chance to try the newest shake from Hollywood Scoops and can say it was really good and worth it.
Tiana’s Mardi Gras Shake features a cinnamon vanilla milkshake topped with a Mardi Gras King Cake Doughnut served at Hollywood Scoops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The cake itself is covered in 3 different toppings, each with a vibrant color. The cake is very dense but works well with the cinnamon shake.
Be sure to stop and take in some of the fun with Magic Shots across the property featuring Princess Tiana in her element at Tiana’s place, selfies with Penny and friends from The Proud Family, and more.
And of course, I must highlight Cooking with Soul! For Black History Month, explore existing, returning, and brand-new Food & Beverage offerings across Walt Disney World. And new this year, each Food & Beverage location will now highlight the cast inspirations of dishes with photos and storytelling.

What is new in Anaheim, California this year? Anaheim has a landmark year ahead with new openings and fun happenings for residents and tourists alike. With a stellar event line-up in celebration of Disney’s “100 Years of Wonder,” concerts and sporting events to ring in Honda Center’s 30th anniversary, new luxury hotels to enhance the city’s accommodation portfolio, new diverse eateries and new ground transportation links to make the city more easily accessible for visitors; Anaheim is the base for exploring Orange County and beyond.
In the neighboring city of Garden Grove, three new hotels are expected to break ground in 2023 including a AAA Four Diamond Hotel, the Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort. The new animated resort will feature 600+ rooms, retail, dining, and entertainment spaces including a grand resort pool for families to enjoy. Additionally, Le Meridien by Marriott will have a 400+ hotel room tower and the 4-star Kimpton boutique Hotel will be one of the largest in the nation with 200+ rooms, both set to break ground this year.
Attractions
At the Disneyland Resort, Mickey’s beloved Toontown will re-open on March 8, 2023 with all new interactive play areas, including CenTOONial Park, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard and Donald’s Duck Pond. Guests can also look forward to reimagined attractions, such as Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster, Goofy’s House and Donald’s Boat, as well as returning favorites such as Mickey’s House, Minnie’s House and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.
Set to break ground this year, ocV!BE will be a mixed use community with Honda Center and ARTIC Center as the anchor. The community will consist of two new hotels, residential living spaces, office spaces, new indoor and outdoor amphitheaters, countless dining and retail spaces, a new food hall, a wellness park and a sports complex all to be completed by 2028 where Anaheim will host the Men’s Volleyball Olympic games. The project is scheduled to open the first phase in 2026, making its mark to become the new epicenter for locals and tourists alike in the years ahead.
“ocV!BE will transform Anaheim as a destination,” said Jay Burress, President & CEO, Visit Anaheim. “This exciting project will assist Anaheim in attracting and retaining guests, particularly conventioneers; to dine, shop, stay & be entertained in Anaheim, generating significant revenue for the local hospitality industry and the city of Anaheim.”
Events and Anniversaries
The Walt Disney Company is celebrating “100 Years of Wonder” with special events, experiences, and limited-time offerings at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. There will be two all-new nighttime spectaculars, never before seen parades, special food offerings and more. The celebration will take place throughout the resort all year long. Honda Center home to the Anaheim Ducks hockey team and entertainment hub is celebrating its 30th anniversary with several concerts lined up and new food offerings at concession stands, restaurants and suites as well as the food trucks at Puck Drop Patio. Honda Center has also introduced mobile ordering, to avoid the lines and give guests more time to enjoy the games.
First led by Babe Ruth in 1924, Anaheim’s annual Fall Festival and Halloween Parade attracted 150,000 spectators and was televised across Southern California at the height of its popularity. Now, a new generation has taken up the mantle of organizing, float-building and performing the parade route, uniting all tourists and locals alike. Don’t miss the nearly century old festivities as well as the must see “Doggie Costume Contest & Pawrade” in October.
Restaurants & Breweries
Smoke & Fire’s Isaias Hernandez is expanding his local empire and adding to Anaheim’s growing beer scene with Villains Brewery. Formerly where Modern Times Leisuretown was located, Villains Brewery will boast a wide range of beer selections and a menu similar to that of Smoke & Fire with escalations of many classic smoked barbecue proteins such as brisket grilled cheese on Texas toast.
The Anaheim GardenWalk is also receiving a new addition, welcoming Boiling Point to the property with dozens of existing dining, shopping and entertainment options. Boiling Point specializes in Taiwanese style broths augmented with a fermented tofu, a variety of meats and several spice level options.
Anaheim Transportation Network
The Anaheim Transportation Network is launching “Everyone Ventures Everywhere” (EVE), a direct transportation connection to and from the Anaheim Resort area to John Wayne Airport using an on-demand, reservation-based system. This will be a luxury fleet of fully electric vehicles, the first of its kind in California. Reservations will be made on the A-Way WeGo App.
Anaheim will also be unveiling a daily, scheduled, nonstop airport service in luxury vehicles between LAX and the Anaheim ARTIC. Guests can expect modern executive- style mini-buses with comfortable individual leather seats, electronic device outlets, plenty of legroom, luggage storage and professional chauffeurs focused on customer safety and comfort.

Guests will be able to find Goofy on Grand Avenue starting at 9:15 am each day. He will be out at 30-minute intervals with a break between 12:45 and 2:15 pm, and his last appearance will be at 4:45 pm.
Guests can also find Max, Goofy’s son, on Grand Avenue starting at 9:15 am. The app doesn’t state or show this, but when we met Max he was dressed in his Powerline costume! He will be available at the same times as Goofy but they are visiting with guests separately.
Our favorite superhero couple, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, are also meeting guests in Hollywood Studios. They will be meeting together starting at 9:30 am until 5 pm at 30-minute intervals. Guests can find them near Echo Lake.

The Incredibles Meet & Greet Returns to Hollywood Studios. With no fanfare or announcement from Disney, a slew of Meet & Greets has returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Powerline max, Goofy, Frozone, and Edna Mode, among others, are going to be around until at least February 14th, and some like the Incredibles will be around long term.
Elastigirl and Mr. Incredible have come back to Hollywood Studios, and not just in the parade. They are now meeting guests by Echo Lake across from Hollywood & Vine, next to Dockside Diner.
Furthermore, You can meet Powerline Max and his dad Goofy over by The Muppets, and just in front of Dockside Diner, you can meet Frozone and Edna Mode. This is in addition to all the other regular Disney Characters Meet & Greets going on daily.
