MVP Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs celebrated his Super Bowl LVII victory with a jubilant cavalcade complete with Mickey Mouse and his pals down Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland today.
Mahomes visited the Disneyland Resort during the Disney100 Celebration less than 24 hours after the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.
Patrick Mahomes also stopped by Sleeping Beauty Castle with his wife, Brittney Mahomes, and their children, Sterling, 1, and Bronze, 11 weeks old, to celebrate his Super Bowl win!

From the beginning stages of design to the final sample, the Costuming Design team prioritized the inclusion of cast members in the development journey, ensuring the new look was as comfortable and functional as it was fashionable.
“Having cast feedback and input from the beginning was critical and shaped a large part of the development of the costumes,” said Lynn Kaufman, costume designer. “It was a really beautiful process; I’m looking forward to seeing how people react (to the costumes).”
The mix-and-match costumes feature breathable fabrics, inclusive sizing and optional accessories that allow cast members to showcase their personalities. “Everyone has different preferences in what they wear and what makes them feel confident,” said Tyler Girdner, an entertainment character host who had the opportunity to be involved in the costume development. “Having different pieces for different body types and different personalities is a really cool step forward.”
“It’s been so meaningful to include the cast in this process because we are designing for them,” said Yonit Olshan, costume designer. “Everybody has a different opinion and a different need; collecting more voices was really what made this collection the success that it is.”

Tron Lightcycle Run Disney Vacation Club Preview Dates Announced
The dates for Disney Vacation Club Member Previews for Tron Lightcycle Run have been announced. Disney Cast Member Previews started last week and Annual Passholder Previews were announced earlier today! D23 Gold Members were just announced moments ago…
Registration will open for the Disney Vacation Club member preview of the TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom starting on February 16th. You can visit the website here.

In addition to registering for the preview, Disney Vacation Club members must also have a confirmed reservation for a Disney hotel on the night of the preview event.

A commemorative keepsake from the Grid
Check-in opens at the Transportation Ticket Center (TTC) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with park admission beginning directly after Gold members receive their credentials and continue to Magic Kingdom Park via monorail or ferry. Gold Members can explore the rest of Tomorrowland up until the event begins at 6:30 p.m. where they will be able to enter the entrance to the attraction. From there, D23 Gold Members can experience TRON Lightcycle / Run until 8:30 p.m.
All ticket holders for this event agree to comply to the latest health and safety guidelines put forth by the Walt Disney World Resort. Find the latest guidelines at Know Before You Go.
TRON: Lightycycle / Run has a height requirement of 48 inches. All attendees of this event must be able to adhere to the height requirement. Any guests who cannot abide will not be allowed to experience this attraction.
The seating and restraints on this attraction may prohibit guests of certain body shapes or sizes from riding.
A transferable vehicle is available which provides a bench seat with lap bar.
All loose articles must be stored in the lockers or left with a non-rider. Park tickets/ MagicBands will be used to access lockers.
D23 Gold members may purchase up to two (2) tickets.
There are an extremely limited number of tickets available. D23 Gold members will be required to provide their membership number when purchasing tickets. Gold members who do not bring their membership card and tickets may not be admitted to the event.
Ticketed Gold members and guests who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. D23 Gold members must be present for their guests to gain entry to the event.
There will be no special shopping opportunities or early access to attraction-related merchandise.
All guests under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to attend this D23 event.

Signs are up and in place now directing guests toward an alternate method of heading from Tomorrowland to Storybook Circus that should help with the re-routing of traffic as the opening date for Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction TRON Lightcycle Run nears its official opening date of April 4th, 2023.
A similar path was in place a few years ago but it was partially demolished during the TRON attraction construction process.
At this current time only cast members and their guests with access to the TRON previews can access the pathway. The Storybook Circus end is still blocked off to regular guests and will most likely not be open to the public until the TRON Lightcycle Run’s official opening.
As you walk the pathway heading from the TRON Lightcycle Run toward Storybook Circus the Tomorrowland Speedway is to your left and the train tracks are to your right.
Looking to your right you can see the TRON restrooms and the train tracks just outside the railing.
Pathway Exit
Just at the end of the path are cast members only allowing other cast members to exit only at this time. The path brings you out near the Barnstormer ride located in Storybook Circus with the train station just off to your right.
I am so happy to see the pathway connecting the two areas returning. In previous years the former path connecting the two areas was used as a trick-or-treat train for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Better Traffic Flow
It can be a bit hectic trying to get around when the parks are busier. This will be a huge help to help with the traffic flow. Not to mention it’s just a nice walk.

Marvel’s Fantastic Four Movie Will Embrace the Comics Not the Past Movies
Marvel Studios producer Stephen Broussard has stated that the upcoming Fantastic Four film and their depiction in the MCU will set the team apart from what we saw in previous films, specifically Fox’s 2005 ‘Fantastic Four’ and subsequent sequel in 2007.
Broussard sat down with ScreenRant to discuss the upcoming ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ but also discussed the plans for what could become the MCU’s signature team in future Phases. Broussard described how the comic book movie landscape has changed dramatically since 2005, and they’ve learned many valuable insights that can be applied to the Fantastic Four.
Broussard asserted that while “I wouldn’t presume to know everything about that film; I’m not necessarily working on it. But one of the founding principles of Marvel, going back to Iron Man and the casting of Tony that I think has resonated through today, is to embrace the source material and these comics that have been around forever. They’re older than me, and I’m guessing they’re older than you too. They’ve been around for a while for a reason, [so we] lean into that.”
“I think the world has changed a little bit, people understand that now. But in 2005, maybe there was a reticence to fully embrace what it was. In everything; in the embodiment of Galactus and things like that. Whatever form the story takes, whatever characters do or do not appear, that founding principle will be embraced and will welcome them into the MCU.”
Feige and the creative team will lean heavily toward comic books for inspiration. Marvel CEO Kevin Feige has already stated that the upcoming Fantastic Four film will be an origin story, setting it apart from the other adaptations. We will have to wait and see if Feige has, in fact learned from the mistakes of the past films when creating these characters for the MCU.

Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew’s Family Nearly Lost his Star Wars Memorabilia in an Auction
In happy news, actor Peter Mayhew’s Star Wars memorabilia is on its way to Mayhew’s family after being sold in an auction. The late actor’s wife Angie Mayhew, tweeted with sadness that her husband’s original script and call sheet were up for auction. In response, the auctioneer Angus Ashworth said in a released statement that they would return the items and are happy to give them back.
Ashworth had told the BBC, “I was approached by a lovely older couple who were clearing their attic a quarter of a century after moving into their property. The contents of the attic included a bag of Star Wars memorabilia, which I thought might be of some interest to Star Wars fans.”
Ashworth was seemingly unaware of the Mayhew’s Foundation and its attempt to get these items back, learning for the first time Angie’s desire for the artifacts as a result of the Tweet. Ashworth stated, “Nobody had approached us to discuss it, and had they done so, I would of course have talked to the vendors. The monetary value of the lot is fairly modest, but knowing how much it means to the foundation, and given that it had been in the attic for over 24 years, the vendors are quite happy to donate it to the foundation to have permanently within their personal collection, not for profit, so that fans can access it in perpetuity.”
The Peter Mayhew Foundation released a statement via Twitter pleading with the sellers to return the items in question. “When we moved out of this house, Peter’s movement challenges made it impossible for him to get into the attic to get the rest of these memories. It really breaks my heart to see our belongings auctioned off like this.”
