Magician Mickey Returns to Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom. The end of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary meant the end of the Earedesent era here at the Magic Kingdom. With that ending means Mickey is back to his magic tricks at Town Square Theater.
We got over to the Town Square Theater this morning and met the head cheese himself, Mickey Mouse. He was looking dapper in his Magician Stage outfit.

The new permit contracts Johnson-Lancaster and Associates, Inc. and is for “buildout of the Cake Bake Shop.” Johnson-Lancaster and Associates, Inc. is a Clearwater-based company that provides and installs food service equipment.

It was the perfect time and place for this future Imagineer—he not only witnessed the birth of the theme park industry, but he also grew up alongside his beloved Disneyland. A Disney fan from an early age, Tony especially enjoyed his weekly visits with Walt courtesy of the Disneyland television program.
Now is your opportunity to enjoy two nights with Disney Legend himself, Tony Baxter, as he relives the imagineering of Big Thunder Mountain in Disney World, and the second night he will discuss Epcot and Journey into Imagination with Figment. All ticket proceeds go to one of our favorites, the non-profit Give Kids the World Village.
Topics: Friday is all about Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as Tony discusses the project from the initial blue sky concepts to the opening of the attraction. Saturday is all things EPCOT, as Tony delves into the creation of Journey Into Imagination and other EPCOT stories.
Bio: Tony Baxter is the former senior vice president of creative development at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he was responsible for creating designs and carrying out the construction of attractions all over the world. New Disney100 Refillable Mugs Now at Disney World. Today marks the end of Walt Disney World‘s 50th Anniversary and the beginning of whatever the future holds. For now, the future is the Disney100 celebration. We know already that most of the Disney100 will happen at Epcot, but it appears we are getting more of the celebration around the Disney Resorts.
We stopped by Disney’s Contemporary Resort today and got ourselves one of the new Disney Rapid Refill Disney100 mugs. There are 2 versions available. Well, 2 different colors of lids and handles, and the image is the same on both mugs. They are $21.99 each, and available around the resorts.
The two versions are purple handle with purple lid and platinum handle with platinum lid. Check out all the images below.
BIG Star Wars Rebels Cameo in this week’s Mandalorian Episode ‘Spoilers Ahead’. Seriously, if you have not watched this past week’s Mandalorian episode on Disney +, stop reading now. We got a reveal of a Rebels character that we have never seen before in a live-action Star Wars show.
In Star Wars, when you see a creature that reminds you of a specific character, it might not be that character. Grogu, for example, is not Yoda, despite what some people originally thought. The Kowakian monkey lizards hanging around on The Mandalorian aren’t Salacious Crumb. Not every astromech droid is R2-D2.
Here is a look at all of the Coca-Cola Flavors that should be at Club Cool in EPCOT.
Club Cool has been around in EPCOT for as far back as I can remember. Stopping by to sample Coca-Cola beverages from around the world was always a highlight on my visits to my favorite park.
There is no word from Disney on if there are shipping delays or if new flavors are coming.
Stay tuned to Chip and Company for more information.

Let the Magic Begin Magic Kingdom Welcome Show Removes 50th Anniversary Costumes Features New Outfits
Mickey & Friends have new costumes for the Magic Kingdom Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show!
Disney debuted the returning fan-favorite show today with Mickey & Friends wearing new outfits, however, the old music remained. Today marks the end date for the Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration as Disney slowly removes all elements from the parks and resorts.
So far we have seen Disney World 50th removed from the park map but Cinderella Castle still remains decorated. We are hearing word that the decorations are expected to come down sometime this weekend.
Just before Magic Kingdom officially opens, make your way down Main Street, U.S.A. to the front of Cinderella Castle. The sound of bright fanfare bursts through the morning air. Then, you’re greeted by Mickey Mouse and his Disney friend wishing you a very special day.
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy are all wearing their new outfits putting their Disney World 50th Anniversary costumes away for now.
You can see the full show of the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show below:
Magic Kingdom Park Map Removes All Mention of Disney World 50th
Today marks the end of the Disney World 50th Celebration at Walt Disney World. Disney has been slowly removing decor, decorations and even mention of the 50th Celebration from its park maps for the theme parks.
The inside of the map listing all rides, attractions, and restaurants remains the same.
While the Magic Kingdom Park Map shows all Disney World 50th Elements removed if you look in the background of our photo you can see the 50th decorations still on Cinderella Castle.
So far we have seen the new park maps in Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom. We have yet to make it over to EPCOT but expect that map to be updated as well.
Rock n Roller Coaster to Receive Marvel’s New Guardians of the Galaxy Makeover
It looks like the fate of the Rock n Roller Coaster has been decided. It is being reported that Disney will be dropping Aerosmith from this fan-favorite Hollywood Studios attraction and adding Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy overlay instead.
We have been hearing gossip for weeks now ever since the ride went down for a long refurbishment back in December 2022 that a retheme might be coming. (I for one still think Disney should have rethemed it to Powerline)
Marvel’s Mightiest Heros the Guardians of the Galaxy will be taking over Rock n Roller Coaster in an all-new coaster in late 2024.
Last night Disney covered the guitar at the entrance of the attraction to remove all traces of Aerosmith as they prepare for the Guardians of the Galaxy Takeover.
The New Hollywood Studios Ride will be called Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Livin on the Edge Cosmic Mission Breakout Rewind.
Since mashups are super popular these days today Disney is going to mashup both totally awesome rides at Walt Disney World with all 3 Guardians of the Galaxy Movies and make one Super Awesome Attraction for guests to enjoy.
While we are just now getting snippets of the news we did receive the upcoming song’s guests can expect to hear mashed up on the NEW Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Livin on the Edge Cosmic Mission Breakout Rewind!
For the first time ever Disney is listening to their guests and while Aerosmith will be removed from the marquee, the preshow, on the ride itself, any past involvement, and all merchandise involved with the attraction, Disney plans on keeping their music on the ride in an interesting way…
Like the name of the attraction, Disney will be mashing up Aerosmith songs with popular 80s songs!
Here is a sneak peek at the setlist we obtained through our musical contacts in the industry:
Playlist:
Rock you like a hurricane – Scorpions / Dream on – Aerosmith Cold as Ice – Foreigner / Crazy – Aerosmith Wheel in the Sky – Journey / Sweet Emotion – Aerosmith Wanted Dead or Alive – Bon Jovi / Janie’s Got a Gun – Aerosmith I just died in your arms – Cutting Crew / I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing – Aerosmith Let’s Go All the Way – Sly Fox / Dude – Aerosmith The rhythm of the Night – DeBarge / Deuces Are Wild – Aerosmith Tainted Love – Soft Cell / Ragdoll – Aerosmith
Chairman of Marvel Entertainment Isaac Perlmutter was not a fan of the new retheme of Rock n Roller Coaster and was immediately laid off so if you don’t like the new Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Retheme you best keep that to yourself if you know what’s good for you.
The new overlay is expected to be completed sometime in 2023, 2024, or late 2025.
April Fools
If you haven’t guessed by now this is our April Fools Joke for 2023! I hope you enjoyed reading this one as much as we enjoyed writing it. Please share this with your friends 🙂
Disney World 50th Anniversary Statues to Remain at Theme Parks
With the Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration officially over, guests will be happy to know the golden anniversary statues will remain at the parks!
As part of the Disney World 50th anniversary celebration, Disney installed 36 golden statues of 50 Disney characters throughout the parks. These beautiful statues were so fun to look for while visiting the parks and even interacted with guest’s MagicBands! Some statues combined more than one character like Bambi and Thumper or Lady and Tramp.
While Disney has begun removing 50th anniversary decor from the parks, they are in no rush to remove the golden character statues. We aren’t sure how long the statues will remain in the parks but we hope it’s for a long time!
Do you have a favorite 50th anniversary golden statue?
