Give Kids The World Presents: Walt Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter. Born in Los Angeles on February 1, 1947, Tony Baxter grew up in Orange County, California. It was the perfect time and place for this future Imagineer—he not only witnessed the birth of the theme park industry, but he also grew up alongside his beloved Disneyland. A Disney fan from an early age, Tony especially enjoyed his weekly visits with Walt courtesy of the Disneyland television program.
Now is your opportunity to enjoy two nights with Disney Legend himself, Tony Baxter, as he relives the imagineering of Big Thunder Mountain in Disney World, and the second night he will discuss Epcot and Journey into Imagination with Figment. All ticket proceeds go to one of our favorites, the non-profit Give Kids the World Village.

Bio: Tony Baxter is the former senior vice president of creative development at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he was responsible for creating designs and carrying out the construction of attractions all over the world. During his 47-year tenure with the company, Tony oversaw the construction of numerous contemporary Disney theme park attractions including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Star Tours, Splash Mountain, The Indiana Jones Adventure, and Journey Into Imagination. He also served as the executive producer of Disneyland Paris.
