Marvel Studios' 'What If...?' Replaces 'Iron Man' Characters with New Voice Actors

Marvel Studios’ ‘What If…?’ Replaces ‘Iron Man’ Characters with New Voice Actors. The latest episode of Marvel Studios’ ‘What If…?’ titled “What If… Killmonger saved Tony Stark?” featured the story of Erik Stevens, aka Killmonger, saving Tony Stark when he is attacked in Afghanistan. Though we will not share story spoilers in this post out of respect for those who have not seen the latest episode, we did want to share that many familiar faces featured in the episode were actually voiced by new talent due to the unavailability of the original cast.

It is already well known that Robert Downey Jr. would not be reprising his role as Tony Stark for the series, but several other names from the Iron Man and Black Panther franchise were surprisingly absent from the cast list in the latest episode. Of the original cast members, notable replacements included Ozioma Akagha as Shuri, Beth Hoyt as Pepper Potts, Kiff Vandenheuvel as Obadiah Stane, Mike McGill as General Ross, and Mick Wingert returning as the voice of Tony Stark. In previous episodes of the series, other characters such as Black Widow, Drax, Peter Quill, and Steve Rogers were replaced with voice actors Lake Bell, Fred Tatasciore, Brian T. Delaney, and Josh Keaton.
