Video shared by Instagram user @dvnttrip shows the attraction backed up near the base of the final lift hill while Cast Members approach one of the logs and help the family exit. According to comments shared with the video, the group had reportedly been warned multiple times to remain seated before Cast Members stepped in. The family appeared to leave the attraction without resisting.

The person who posted the video later claimed the group was also removed from Disneyland and was seen arguing with security over multi-day tickets that would reportedly no longer be valid. Disney has not publicly confirmed those additional details, so for now that portion of the incident remains based on the eyewitness account.

Standing up on an attraction like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure can create a serious safety risk, especially with the ride’s roughly 50-foot final plunge looming ahead. This is not the first recent incident involving guests leaving their seats on the Disneyland version of the attraction. In June, a 13-year-old reportedly exited a log and fell down the final drop before later being evaluated at a hospital and released. Another incident in July involved a guest standing up and delaying the attraction before Cast Members intervened.

It is a pretty simple rule, folks: stay seated until your bayou adventure is over. Disney ride vehicles may bring plenty of thrills, but standing up where you are not supposed to can turn a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Danger situation into something much more serious.
