Halloween Decor Drops at Disney California Adventure
While summer is winding down, Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is revving into high gear, and Disney California Adventure has officially begun its ghoulish transformation.
Walking through the turnstiles, guests are immediately greeted by the eerie, enchanting autumn touches that make DCA such a fan-favorite Halloween destination. From classic Buena Vista Street charm to the fan-favorite transformation in Radiator Springs, the park is rolling out the red carpet for spooky season—and prep is well underway for the sold-out Oogie Boogie Bash!

Over on Buena Vista Street, 1920s vintage glamour meets Halloween haunt. Draped across light poles, storefronts, and around Carthay Circle Restaurant are the iconic deep purple banners and festive seasonal bunting, setting a darker, moodier tone than the traditional orange harvest decor across the esplanade at Disneyland Park.

Swarming black bats cling to the upper windows of the Carthay Circle bell tower, while eerie green and purple lighting transforms the street at night.

The true focal point of Buena Vista Street’s Halloween decor has officially taken its rightful place: the towering, 11-foot statue of the Headless Horseman.
Standing proud in the planter near Elias & Co., the terrifying figure from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad holds his glowing jack-o’-lantern high into the sky while his black steed rears up. During the day, it’s one of the best photo ops in the park, but come nightfall, it truly comes alive with glowing red eyes and real smoke billowing from the horse’s nostrils and flickering pumpkin!

Further into the park, Radiator Springs is undergoing its signature “Haul-O-Ween” transformation, and the clever, car-centric details are already rolling out:

- Radiator Screams Signage:Â The main entrance billboard now welcomes guests to Radiator Screams, setting the tone for Route 66.
- Spooky Spider Cars & Tire Webs: Look closely around Flo’s V8 Café and Radiator Springs Curios to spot giant spiders built out of auto parts, tire-rim spiderwebs, and chains hanging overhead.

- Cozy Cone “Jack-o’-Cones”:Â The iconic orange cones at the Cozy Cone Motel have received their signature jack-o’-lantern faces!
- Scare-Cars & Costume Touches:Â From “Spoke-y” cone decorations to character “car-stumes” popping up along the strip, the residents of Radiator Springs are gearing up for the ultimate trunk-or-treat.

All of these immersive transformations serve as the perfect backdrop for the upcoming Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. As the seasonal decor continues to pop up across Hollywood Land, Grizzly Peak, and Paradise Gardens, the stage is set for villainous trick-or-treat trails, frightfully fun entertainment, and memories to last a lifetime.
