We have more sad news to report today… After the news of the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra & Yeehaw Bob being let go at Walt Disney World, it appears another group of performers will not be returning to work either…
According to Tikiman’s Unofficial Polynesian Resort Facebook Page the Disney’s Polynesian Resort Entertainers will not be coming back to work as well.
The Polynesian Resort entertainers include those at the Spirt of Aloha dinner show and Lipoa the Ukulele Lady from ‘Ohana. We are waiting for an official list of entertainers from Disney at this time.
With the Polynesian Resort under a lengthy refurbishment, it makes sense that these performers would not be returning to work.
Josh D’Amaro announced yesterday that Disney will be laying off some 28,000 Cast Members due to COVID-19.
We had no idea so many of our favorite Disney World entertainers would be on the chopping block.
