'Darkwing Duck' Appearing Soon On 'DuckTales'

‘Darkwing Duck’ Appearing Soon On ‘DuckTales’. When Darkwing’s around you know things are about to get dangerous!

It was previously announced at San Diego Comic Con that the daring nocturnal vigilante would be making an appearance on the reboot of DuckTales. Though at the time we merely got a sneak peek at a working sketch of the character, we now have screen shots and a video of the reanimated Darkwing Duck, aka Jim Starling.

Original voice of the character, Jim Cummings, has reprised his role as the 80’s/90’s cartoon icon Jim Starling, aka Darkwing Duck. Hear him in action in this clip from the highly anticipated episode of DuckTales.

You better watch out you bad boys! Looks like Darkwing is back to save the day!

We will also get a cameo from Darkwing Duck’s creator, Tad Stones who will be voicing a security guard named, well, Tad.

“I’m a giant fan of the new DuckTales series and am super excited that they are building a universe that connects new versions of the Disney Afternoon shows, including Darkwing Duck,” Stones tells EW. “Matt and Frank took me through their ideas for Darkwing’s presence in DuckTales and I am thrilled that they are keeping the heart of the character while building an even richer backstory. Darkwing couldn’t be in better hands.”

  1. I’m loving all these throwbacks! It’s really making nostalgic for my childhood and I’m glad my niece, nephews, and future children can experience this as well! #DisneyVacayGiveaway

  2. Darkwing Duck was my FAVORITE show growing up!!! I also loved the original Ducktales, & have been watching the new Ducktales series on Disney XD ever since it premiered. There were rumors about Darkwing Duck making a comeback a few years ago, but i’m really happy they were true! I do like the original animation more, but i’m not going to complain too much because Darkwing Duck is back! Woohoo! #DisneyVacayGiveaway
