Ahsoka Tano Actress Ashley Eckstein Reads “Star Wars: The Galaxy Needs You”. Ashley Eckstein sat down to share a read through of “Star Wars: The Galaxy Needs You” as a treat for fans who are practicing social distancing or are under quarantine during the COVID-19 outbreak, also known as Coronavirus.

Ashley has provided the voice of Ahsoka Tano for the past 12 years and is passing the baton to Rosario Dawson who will be playing the first live-action version of the character in season 2 of The Mandalorian, coming to Disney+ in October 2020. Many fans were shocked Eckstein had no clue her character would be appearing in the mega-popular Star Wars series, but Ashley responded to the outrage with grace and thankfulness for her time as Ahsoka.

“The truth is, I am not involved in The Mandalorian. I can’t answer questions that I have not been a part of. I am an actress and have performed in all types of mediums; live action film/television, theater, voice-over, hosting and it has been my dream for 14 years to continue to play Ahsoka Tano in all forms. I will continue to be grateful for opportunities to help create stories for Ahsoka Tano and I am always happy to see her legacy continued. I am only one member of a tremendously talented team of people that it takes to bring Ahsoka Tano to life. The final decisions for Ahsoka are not mine to make and I cannot comment on something that I truly know nothing about.”
