The original star and voice of Belle from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” Paige O’Hara, shared her love of the arts while painting Gaston at Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts.
O’Hara, a talented painter, has many of her pieces displayed with Disney Fine Art for Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts. O’Hara said that she’s excited ab0ut this year’s Festival because she gets to paint many of the princesses that she grew up loving!
O’Hara even said that she used to sell her paintings on the streets of New York before she made it on Broadway, starting her love of painting fairly early in her life. Although we know she enjoys painting the Disney princesses, she took on the challenge of painting the infamous Gaston!
Gaston and O’Hara hung out together in the France Pavilion during their encounter- you can watch the whole experience here! O’Hara picks on Gaston the whole time, telling him that, “he’s multi-layered!”
Gaston quickly replies with a, “that must be a muscle thing!”
Just wait until you watch the ending and see the amazing painting that O’Hara whipped up for Gaston!
To meet the star for yourself before she leaves the festival, you’ll be able to see her from 12-2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. from Jan. 24-27 at Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts. We hope you can make it!
