Saddle Up for Shenanigans! Whispering Canyon Café Closing for Refurbishment This Spring
If you’ve ever dined at Whispering Canyon Café, you know this isn’t just a meal—it’s a full-blown rootin’-tootin’ dining experience filled with hearty helpings and even heartier laughs. But if you’re planning to mosey on over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for some Wild West-style grub next spring, hold your horses! From May 12 through May 21, 2025, Whispering Canyon Café will be closed for refurbishment.
While the sassy servers and bottomless skillets take a brief hiatus, guests can still rustle up a meal at other Wilderness Lodge favorites, including Territory Lounge, Roaring Fork, Geyser Point Bar & Grill, and Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. But don’t worry—this Western watering hole will be back in action before you can say, “Where’s my ketchup?”

A Wildly Fun Dining Experience
For those unfamiliar with Whispering Canyon Café, this is no ordinary sit-down meal. Here, servers don’t just take your order—they dish out a side of sass and shenanigans with every plate. Whether you’re chowing down on all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets packed with slow-smoked ribs, Mickey waffles, or mustard-barbecued brisket, you’re guaranteed a meal to remember. Just be careful what you ask for… you might get a gallon of soda when you order a refill!
The holiday brunches here are also legendary. Guests can put a little spring in their step with a special Easter brunch on April 20, 2025, or treat Mom to a Mother’s Day feast on May 11, 2025. These special menus feature everything from Brisket Omelets to Avocado Toast—and yes, plenty of Mickey-shaped waffles to go around!
