This change started on March 18, 2021. Tokyo Disney, which is owned by Oriental Land Co., Ltd, is the first of the Disney parks to make a change to the welcome greeting. The reason for the change is “Continuously for all guests. To make you feel comfortable in the park,” according to a spokeswoman for Oriental Land.

The wording was changed to “Welcome Everyone” or “Hello Everyone” which do not specify gender. The spokeswoman also said, “It is a comprehensive judgment that takes into account the current social conditions such as diversity.”
So far, only the welcome greeting has changed, but the wording in attractions and other facilities will also be changing.
