I don’t know about you but I haven’t had early enough Zebra Domes in my life lately. We’ve managed to grab some from the Animal Kingdom Lodge gift shop, but The Mara quick-service restaurant where we usually find them is still closed. Even though Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village has reopened, not to mention that we can access Sanaa and their amazing bread service again, parts of the resort have remained closed since the shutdown in March. However, for a small window of time, The Mara will be reopening! It’s very unlikely that they’ll be serving Zebra Domes during their reopening though.
For a very limited time, The Mara will be serving guests at the Animal Kingdom Lodge again. Starting December 23rd, to accommodate holiday guests, the quick-service restaurant will be an additional dining option at the resort. If you’re planning on staying at the Lodge, you can easily grab a cinnamon roll and some coffee for breakfast on Christmas Eve! Whether lunch or dinner will be available remains to be seen as the Disney World website only shows a breakfast menu and opening times from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM at this time. But not to worry, it’s still worth a trip down to grab a muffin and some fruit during your Christmas stay. Anything is better than a cereal bar that you squashed in your suitcase!
We hope that The Mara will reopen permanently very soon with our beloved Zebra Domes. This is a step in the right direction though, and it’s sure to help holiday travelers stay well-fed during their stay! Will you be visiting the Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Mara soon? Let us know in the comments!
