New Disney100 Foods, Popcorn Buckets and More coming to Walt Disney World. Epcot may be the home of the Disney “100 Years of Wonder” celebration here, but there is reason to celebrate the Disney100 all around Walt Disney World Resort. Later this year we are going to be seeing some platinum and purple take over.

Celebrate With New Food and Drinks

The celebration doesn’t stop with character greetings and fun photo ops; you’ll also be able to indulge in some Disney100 treats across the resort. Beginning May 1, guests can enjoy the Disney100 Petite Cake for a limited time at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. This mouthwatering dessert has layers of vanilla chiffon, berry mousse, and berry compote, all topped with a celebratory Disney100 Medallion macaron.

The Disney Culinary team has been dreaming up all kinds of delicious dishes to commemorate the milestone, and this is just the beginning. I was lucky enough to learn about the inspiration behind this yummy dessert from Chef Amanda.

“The culinary team has the wonderful opportunity to use food for storytelling,” Chef Amanda said. “We get to make special themed treats that bring guests into the story, letting them feel immersed in a tangible and very delicious way.”

“The inspiration of this cake pulls from the rich purple and platinum colors used for the Disney100 celebration,” Chef Amanda shared. “The drapery on the sides of the cake represents the traditional bunting that adorns Main Street, U.S.A. for special occasions. And of course, Mickey Mouse is proudly represented on the front of the cake because as we all know: ‘It all started with a mouse.’”

New details have been revealed for the Disney100 Celebration coming to EPCOT in 2023.

Say Hi to Mickey and Minnie in Their Platinum Best

EPCOT will be the center of the Disney100 celebration later this year at Walt Disney World. Recently opened attractions like the exhilarating family thrill coaster Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the captivating 4D Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure bring even more family fun to the park where the impossible becomes possible. Even more, is in store as the park’s multi-year transformation culminates later this year during the Disney100 celebration.

Have you been looking forward to seeing Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their new dazzling platinum outfits? I know I have! You’ll be able to hug and take photos with the duo in their platinum outfits at EPCOT later this year. Chris Pine Joins Disney’s “Wish” Animated Movie as King Magnifico

Chris Pine officially kicked off his reign today as King Magnifico in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ all-new musical-comedy “Wish,” opening in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22.

Joining Academy Award®-winning actress Ariana DeBose, who voices a young woman named Asha in the film, Pine lends his voice to the ruler of Rosas, a magical kingdom where wishes really do come true. “As the most powerful person in the kingdom, King Magnifico needed to be played by someone who could give all the charm, cleverness and charisma to this magnanimous character, and Chris is beautifully bringing all of that and then some,” said Jennifer Lee, “Wish” executive producer and one of the writers for the film.

Tony Chambers, executive vice president and head of theatrical distribution for The Walt Disney Studios, revealed the casting coup moments ago at CinemaCon 2023, highlighting that “Wish” continues Disney Animation’s tradition of bringing epic tales to the big screen for families to experience together over the Thanksgiving holiday and beyond. Breaking: Disney Suing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

Walt Disney Parks And Resorts has just filed a lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stating that the Governor has waged a “relentless campaign to weaponize government power” against the company.

In a filing with the U.S. District Court for Northern District of Florida, Disney states the following:

For more than half a century, Disney has made an immeasurable impact on Florida and its economy, establishing Central Florida as a top global tourist destination and attracting tens of millions of visitors to the State each year. People and families from every corner of the globe have traveled to Walt Disney World because of the unrivaled guest experience it provides and the deep emotional connection that generations of fans have with Disney’s timeless stories and characters.

A targeted campaign of government retaliation-orchestrated at every step by Governor DeSantis as punishment for Disney’s protected speech-now threatens Disney’s business operations, jeopardizes its economic future in the region, and violates its constitutional rights.

Today’s action is the latest strike: At the Governor’s bidding, the State’s oversight board has purported to “void” publicly noticed and duly agreed development contracts, which had laid the foundation for billions of Disney’s investment dollars and thousands of jobs. This government action was patently retaliatory, patently anti-business, and patently unconstitutional. But the Governor and his allies have made clear they do not care and will not stop. The Governor recently declared that his team would not only “void the development agreement”-just as they did today-but also planned “to look at things like taxes on the hotels,” “tolls on the roads,” “developing some of the property that the district owns” with “more amusement parks,” and even putting a “state prison” next to Walt Disney World. “Who knows? I just think the possibilities are endless,” he said.

Disney regrets that it has come to this. But having exhausted efforts to seek a resolution, the Company is left with no choice but to file this lawsuit to protect its cast members, guests, and local development partners from a relentless campaign to weaponize government power against Disney in retaliation for expressing a political viewpoint unpopular with certain State officials.

Number of Post Credit Scenes Revealed for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3

Marvel fans have come to expect post-credit scenes as part of their viewing experience, helping signal upcoming stories for the MCU. To date, only one film, Avengers: Endgame, did not have a post-credit scene. Fans expect additional post-credit sequences in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, and James Gunn has confirmed via Instagram that patrons should stick around after the credits roll.

James Gunn said of the upcoming film, “There is not a post-credit scene. There are two.” Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 had a record-breaking five post-credit sequences. Sometimes these scenes provide a glimpse of what will happen moving forward; other moments are there to provide fun and seemingly unscripted moments.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will gear up one final time in theaters on May 5, 2023. James Gunn directs the film, which Stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Will Poulter. Vin Diesel will again voice Groot, and Bradley Cooper returns as Rocket Racoon. No Showtimes Listed for Fantasmic! in Disneyland After Accident

The Fantasmic! schedule at Disneyland has been pulled through next weekend

It appears Disneyland is suspending further performances of Fantasmic! Despite some initial reporting that the show would return this weekend with the dragon operating in B-Mode, we did some further digging and discovered performances of Fantasmic! at Disneyland have been canceled through May 4, 2023.

Once Fantasmic! returns, it will likely operate with dragon Maleficent in ‘B-Mode.’ B-mode is the term used for a ride or attraction that is operating with an alternate effect, generally due to downtime or an error. On Rise of the Resistance, for example, B-mode is put in place when the Kylo Ren animatronic is not working and guests instead encounter Kylo on a ship flying outside of the Star Destroyer.

The dragon normally breaths fire as it battles with Mickey during the show. The fire effect recently caused the dragon to catch fire, resulting in the dragon being destroyed, the show being closed, and the effect used on the dragon being suspended at all Disney theme parks worldwide. It is likely that once Fantasmic! returns, the dragon will need to operate in B-Mode until the fire-breathing dragon is fully repaired and the suspension of the fire effects are lifted.
