The Boneyard at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Closing for Refurbishment

The Boneyard at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closed for refurbishment starting May 1, 2023. The dino dig site will be closed until mid-June.

The Disney World website describes The Boneyard as:

“A world of prehistoric marvels awaits! Kids ages 10 and under are invited to clamber across rope bridges, climb through mysterious caves and hurl down twisting slides.

At the dig site, help excavate fossils from a Triceratops and a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Discover lots more dino-sized surprises as you have a blast digging up the past.

Parents of busy explorers can enjoy a shaded seating area at the dig site, where large fans help cool things down.”

The area is expected to reopen in mid-June but no exact reopening date was announced. This is only a temporary closure but all of Dinoland U.S.A. is rumored to be getting demolished someday and replaced with a Moana or Zootopia themed land.

Corkcicle First Retail Location Soft Open at Disney Springs. Back in 2021, Corkcicle became The Official Premium Drinkware of Walt Disney World Resort. Now they are expanding into the storefront market at Disney Springs with its first retail location at Walt Disney World.

In front of Paddlefish in Disney Springs, Corkcicle’s premium retail location sits. The Official Grand Opening is to be held this Friday, April 28th, 2023. We have heard there will be special gifts for the first few guests in line and giveaways going all throughout the day,

The location is well-appointed and they have a plethora of different styles of tumblers, mugs, and an assortment of metal straws, as well as straw cleaners. Along with really cool tumbler holders for on-the-go at the Theme Parks. Obviously, they have a ton of different styles of Disney-themed tumblers, being the official Drinkware of WDW.

The Disney100 Celebration commemorates the enchantment of Disney storytelling with Guests who have made lifelong memories and will continue to enjoy the connections and special moments made during their visits to Walt Disney World® Resort.

In April, Walt Disney World® Resort will begin honoring the Company milestone. Monthly spotlights on some Disney favorite franchises like Pixar, Mickey & Friends, and Disney Princess will help Guests fully enjoy and immerse themselves in the many Disney stories they love.

At Disney Springs in World of Disney, Pixar has taken over the space that was set aside in the back of the store for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary. With a large Luxo lamp, Pixar ball, moving projections, and a really cool moving light with animation of Luxo Lamp on the floor.

New Disney100 Decorations Now Up at Disney Springs. Looks like all the Disney100 main signs have been installed around Walt Disney World with the final sign being placed at Disney Springs. The sign is installed below the Orange Garage Entrance area right before the AMC24 and across from the Coke Store.

The Disney100 Celebration commemorates the enchantment of Disney storytelling with Guests who have made lifelong memories and will continue to enjoy the connections and special moments made during their visits to Walt Disney World® Resort.

A Different Story Every Month

In April, Walt Disney World® Resort will begin honoring the Company milestone. Monthly spotlights on some Disney favorite franchises like Pixar, Mickey & Friends, and Disney Princess will help Guests fully enjoy and immerse themselves in the many Disney stories they love.

Guests will see and can celebrate these stories and lovable Characters in existing experiences such as Character caravans, parades, photo opportunities, merchandise, attractions, experiences and more.
