Updated Projection-Mapping Added to Muppet Vision 3D in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Muppet Vision 3D has recently received a surprising update, breathing new life into the beloved attraction. Since its opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 1991, the show has undergone minimal changes, making this unexpected update particularly exciting. Leveraging modern technology, Disney has enhanced a scene in the 32-year-old show through the use of projection mapping.

In the iconic moment when Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker bring Waldo C. Graphic to life, and Waldo starts causing chaos by multiplying, exclaiming, “Now I can start my own football team!”, the new projection mapping transforms the experience.

Loki Charms Cereal Return for a Limited Time

General Mills has once more joined forces with Marvel Studios to unveil the Loki Charms cereal box, featuring a refreshed design to coincide with the launch of “Loki” season two. These special-edition collectible boxes draw inspiration from the iconic Marvel Cinematic Universe character portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.

A limited quantity of these Loki Charms boxes will be up for grabs exclusively on Walmart.com, starting at 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday, priced at just $7.96. Lucky Charms is taking you on a nostalgic journey to a time when Loki briefly stepped in as the mascot, filling in for Lucky The Leprechaun.

The boxes have an old-fashioned Lucky Charms look, with Loki imitating the mascot’s pose by holding a green rainbow. Marvel fans will enjoy the cool details on the box, like Loki’s helmet, a Time Variance Authority book, and Miss Minutes, the weird character voiced by Tara Strong.

In 2021, Lucky Charms introduced this cereal partnership during the show’s inaugural season, featuring a distinct design. At that time, they released just 3,500 boxes, which were exclusively accessible through a different website.

The next season of “Loki” with six episodes started on Disney+ this Thursday. It’s all about Loki (the one with the L1130 tag) teaming up with Agent Mobius (played by Owen Wilson) to travel through time and save the multiverse.

Halloween has not yet happened and already we’re getting a sneak peek of Holiday offerings coming to the Disneyland Resort. Disney has shared a preview of holiday souvenirs and novelty items along with some holiday food.

Disney Eats shared on Facebook about 5 holiday offerings coming to the Disneyland Resort this coming holiday season.

Four fun collectible novelty items are coming to the Disneyland Resort. The Mickey Mouse Toy Soldier popcorn bucket is absolutely adorable and features Mickey dressed as a holiday toy soldier. The Reindeer Parade Sipper made its debut last holiday season and is back this year! It’s the bust of a reindeer from the holiday parade with his silly tongue hanging out.

Muppets fans will be excited to see a Holiday Kermit Straw Clip will be available. It features Kermit the Frog wearing a Santa hat and holding presents. Finally, there will be a Mickey Mouse-shaped Red Glitter Jingle Bell Glow Cube. The cutest way to elevate your drinks!

We can’t forget about the food! While Disney is only sharing a peek at one holiday food item, we can expect more to be announced later. The preview shows a Sharable Loaded Torta that is coming to the resort for Viva Navidad at Disney California Adventure. It look absolutely delectable!

Disney World Extends Theme Park Hours at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom in Late October 2023

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom this month can enjoy extended theme park hours! Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios park hours remain the same as previously posted.

These extended hours are happening towards the end of October. Magic Kingdom will now open at 8 am instead of 9 am on October 22, 24, and 27. Those days are also Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party dates and the park will still close at 6 pm.

On October 23, Magic Kingdom will open at 9 am as previously scheduled, but will close an hour later than planned. Instead of closing at 10 pm the park will now close at 11 pm that day.

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the park will open at 8 am instead of 9 am on October 22 through October 28. The park will still close at 7 pm those days.

Disney’s Jennifer Lee “Blown Away” by Upcoming Frozen 3 Movie

Earlier this week, Jennifer Lee, Disney Animation’s Chief Creative Officer, announced during a keynote session at the London Film Festival (LFF) that Disney has discreetly started work on the third installment of the beloved Frozen film series.

Lee, a writer and director for the first two Frozen movies, remained secretive about precise information regarding the third film, such as release dates and production progress. Nevertheless, she enthused the LFF audience by expressing her astonishment at the remarkable progress the studio has achieved so far, saying that she was “blown away” by the work thus far.

Lee stated, “All I’ll say is that last week, they carved out time for me to work with the creative team on it. And I’m blown away,” Lee said. “I’m so excited. I don’t know what I’m doing on it yet. I might be doing nothing.”

In November, Disney’s upcoming film “Wish” is set to be released, featuring a talented cast that includes Angelique Cabral (known for her roles in “Big Sky” and “Life in Pieces”), Chris Pine, Ariana DeBose, and Evan Peters.

The animated movie tells the story of Asha, a quick-witted dreamer whose wish is so potent that it draws the attention of a cosmic entity known as Star, a boundless ball of energy. Additionally, the film stars Alan Tudyk as Valentino Hall, a talking goat character.

“We’ve never embarked on such an extensive journey exploring the life of a villain,” Lee remarked about the film before presenting an extended clip. The showcased footage included a fresh original song by musician Julia Michaels.

Regarding Chris Pine’s portrayal, Lee further commented, “Chris Pine also contributed significantly to this endeavor as it was essential for him to delve deep into the character’s emotional core. He proved to be an exceptional collaborator, incredibly intelligent, and possessing a remarkable singing talent, which allowed the character to evolve more vividly with each passing day.”

As we eagerly await further developments, it’s clear that Disney Animation continues to push the boundaries of storytelling and animation, promising a future filled with enchanting adventures. One of the highlights for guests vising Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando has been the roaming M3GAN Flash Mob. The roaming horde/dance troop performs throughout the night, and draws large crowds for each performance. Recently, during BlumFest 2023 event at Universal Orlando’s Citywalk, we were treated to an exclusive performance by the M3GAN’s, and we have that footage here for you!

Fans of the M3GAN film (spelled M3GAN as the name is an acronym for Model 3 Generative Android), will immediately recognize the inspiration of the M3GAN Dance. Without giving to much away for anyone who has not yet had a chance to check out this amazing film, M3GAN does an impressive dance while working on ‘dispatching’ one of the ancillary cast members.

The roaming M3GAN Flash Mob performs each night at Halloween Horror Nights. While the performance times and locations are not included in the event materials in an attempt to keep crowds moving, you can typically see the M3GAN’s yourself in various locations throughout Universal Studios Florida. Note typically you will see a single M3GAN, and then another, and slowly more will show up-so keep your head on a swivel or you may miss them!
