Disney Celebrates Pride with the Colorful and Delicious Pride Mousse Dome Cake. I could be mistaken, but I think this is the first time the Disney Culinary team has done a transgendered-themed snack. The dome cake is decorated in pink, blue, and white to represent the flag that was first introduced in 1999.

The group who was with us during the trip said it was not very good. I personally did not try it, allergic to certain berries. I do believe the words used were, “gross” and “ewww”. Please if you have an opinion feel free to share it with us. I hate being so negative about a treat I haven’t tried.

Disney Springs Decorated for Pride Month at Disney World. Happy Pride! It’s June, and that means Disney is excited to celebrate Pride Month!

Many of our cast members and our PRIDE Business Employee Resource Groups (BERGs) have collaborated with teams across the company to develop and deliver authentic experiences and offerings to celebrate Pride Month.

From the recent announcement of this year’s Disney Pride Collection to the delicious Pride Foodie Guide and everything in between—the attention to detail in bringing the magic to life for our guests is truly special.

At Disney Springs there are a few photo ops and backdrops if you want to. From Mickey hands making a rainbow heart, to pride flags hanging on the light poles, to a really cool expanding Mickey Mouse with the Pride colors. They will be around until June 30th.

Disney Unveils the Vibrant Pride Chocolate Cupcake at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Throughout June, we’ll be celebrating with a variety of delicious dishes and sips expertly created by Disney’s talented teams of chefs and mixologists. They’ve brought their creative A-game as you’ll soon discover in this year’s Foodie Guide.

Pride Cupcake – $5.99 – Chocolate Cake, Salted Caramel Crunch Filling, Sweet Coffee Buttercream, Rainbow Sprinkles, and Chocolate Mickey Pride Decoration

The Pride Cupcake tasted decent. The cake itself was moist and delicious, while the Salted Caramel Crunch Filling has a toffee bar flavor which worked really well together. The Sprinkles and Sweet Coffee Buttercream was a bit much for my sugar needs, but others with a sweet tooth will love it.

Hocus Pocus 3 Confirmed by President of Walt Disney Motion Pictures Sean Bailey. This is breaking news right now, with more details to come.

Mr. Bailey, who has been president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production for 13 years and has been in charge of most of the live-action remakes, in an interview with the New York Times just confirmed the second sequel to Disney’s Hocus Pocus.

“Mr. Bailey, who watched “The Little Mermaid” 18 times as it worked its way through Disney’s pipeline, has more than 50 movies in various stages of development and production, including live-action versions of “Moana,” “Hercules” and “Lilo and Stitch.” Yes, “Hocus Pocus 3” is happening.”

Four New Posters & Featurette for Pixar’s Elemental Revealed

Disney’s Elemental release is just around the corner, and Disney is getting fans excited for this summer film from Pixar.

Four fun new posters are now available for Disney and Pixar’s “Elemental,” which opens in theaters on June 16. Also available today is a new featurette introducing moviegoers to the film’s key characters and the voice talent helping to bring them to life. Included in the featurette are Leah Lewis, who voices the fiery Ember, Mamoudou Athie as the Water-guy Wade; Wendi McLendon-Covey as Wade’s stormy Air-Ball-loving boss, Gale; and Catherine O’Hara as Wade’s funny-but-tearful mom, Brook—plus insight from director Peter Sohn.

“Elemental” is an all-new, original feature film set in Element City, where Fire-, Water-, Earth- and Air residents live together.

In the enchanting world of Elemental, a magical realm where the forces of nature come alive, we embark on a captivating adventure filled with wonder, discovery, and self-discovery. Pixar Place Hotel Construction Update for June 2023 in Disneyland

Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel construction at the Disneyland Resort is coming along! The outside of the hotel appears to be complete and the lobby has reopened. The outside of the hotel is now white, black, and silver with yellow, red, and blue accents.

The lobby area is almost complete! There are Pixar touches throughout the area along with the primary colors yellow, red, and blue. The large Pixar Luxo lamp has not been installed yet, however.

There are still walls and spaces that are undergoing construction. Some walls say “Great Things Coming Soon” while others say “Pardon our Pixels”. You can see the lobby furniture is also in the primary colors of yellow, red, and blue.

The base colors of the walls and floor are black, white, and grey. The yellow, red, and blue accents really pop in the furniture and artwork. The walls feature concept art for some of our favorite Pixar films and you’ll notice Pixar characters hidden on the floor and in the art on the walls.

The lobby will continue to evolve over the next few months and will begin to blend beloved Pixar imagery with the hotel’s contemporary setting. When the transformation is complete, iconic images from Pixar films will be at the front desk, with characters pictured larger than life in curated artwork.

This winter, as guests enter the hotel lobby, they will be greeted by the Pixar Lamp playfully balancing atop its ball! A whimsical, colorful character-inspired mobile will hang above, welcoming guests to the new, reimagined lobby atrium.

This fall, the hotel will unveil a new restaurant at the resort, Great Maple. This Southern California-based modern American eatery specializes in playful takes on upscale comfort food. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner all day, the ground-floor restaurant will be easily accessible to hotel guests, local diners and theme park goers!

Signature dishes to start dreaming about? For me, it’s the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Doughnuts, the Cajun Shrimp & Cheddar Biscuit Benedict, and the Soda Pop-Braised Baby Back Ribs! Great Maple will also have a full bar including beer, wine and cocktails.

Great Maple’s culinary creativity will abound throughout the hotel, offering food and beverage service at the pool, as well as a new grab ‘n’ go coffee shop and café near the lobby, and eventually at the hotel’s new concierge lounge.

During the refurbishments of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, overnight guests with valid park tickets and reservations can still enjoy the great benefits of staying on property at the Disneyland Resort such as early park entry to enjoy select attractions* and a special entrance to Disney California Adventure park, along with close proximity to Disneyland park and the Downtown Disney District.

Celebrate Soulfully at Disneyland Resort for Black Music Month

Throughout June 2023, Disneyland Resort is celebrating Black Music Month with a breadth of live musical entertainment, specialty menu items and more that honor Black heritage and culture. These limited-time offerings create a symphony for the senses and expand on the Celebrate Soulfully experiences guests can enjoy at the Disneyland Resort throughout the year.

Celebrate Soulfully aims to honor diversity through music, food and events, while elevating guests’ experiences in empowering and impactful ways.

Live music across the resort

Every day in June, Disneyland Resort will host a large variety of live performances and bands, covering genres and decades across the history of Black music.

At Disney California Adventure Park, guests are invited to dance along to lively summer concerts at the Hollywood Backlot Stage each evening. Three bands will rotate at this location throughout the month:

Midnight Hour, a musical celebration of legendary 1960s hits such as The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations and more (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays)
Finesse, an upbeat group covering popular tunes across the decades, from Bruno Mars to Stevie Wonder (Sundays and Mondays)
The Rhythm & Blues Brothas, a dynamic group of singers brought together to share their passion, and love, for the classic sounds of R&B and Soul (Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. each evening in June at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage, guests can groove to live band performances, with different Black music genres highlighted throughout the week, including Jazz Fusion, Caribbean, Gospel, Pop, Mid-Century Jazz and more. The month’s lineup features 10 different musical groups, such as The Singers of Soul and Forward Motion Band. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday in June, a DJ plays Hip-Hop songs in honor of the genre’s 50th anniversary in 2023.

Guests can relax and enjoy more live music at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, with five performances daily at the northside pool deck. Musical acts scheduled to perform are Island Reggae Duo, da-light and DJ Quami.

Limited-time menu items and experiences for Black Music Month

The Black Music Month entertainment is complemented by specialty menu items and limited-time experiences, offering a symphony for the senses.

WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney District and Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets in Disneyland Park will host artist signing events featuring Ryan Riller on June 10 and Larissa Marantz on June 17.

Near the Star Wars Trading Post, kids can create their own artwork with a craft inspired by iconic Black artists who have made monumental contributions to Black music. From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., guests can color a vinyl record-shaped craft or contribute to the Celebrate Soulfully memory wall.

Food and beverage locations across the Disneyland Resort will serve specialty menu items in celebration of Black Music Month:

All month long at the Downtown Disney District, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen, Splitsville Luxury LanesFrom June 9 to July 4, the Black-owned food truck Happy Ice is serving refreshing, icy desserts outside the Star Wars Trading Post.
Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel and Storytellers Café, GCH Craftsman Bar and Hearthstone Lounge at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel celebrate with special beverage selections for guests 21 or older.
From June 1 to July 4, Award Wieners at Disney California Adventure Park is offering a BBQ hot link sandwich and strawberry cheesecake funnel cake fries a la mode, while the Studio Catering Co. is serving a shrimp po’ boy.

In New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park, guests can capture a unique photo memory with a limited-time Disney PhotoPass Magic Shot, available June 1 through July 31, featuring Princess Tiana from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Princess and the Frog.”

Celebrate Soulfully year-round at Disneyland Resort

Beyond Black Music Month, guests can experience year-round and limited-time Celebrate Soulfully offerings at Disneyland Resort. Highlights include:

For a limited time, Ariel from the all-new “The Little Mermaid” live-action story is making special appearances at Disneyland Park, along the promenade near “it’s a small world.”
The Main Street Opera House at Disneyland Park presents a special tribute honoring the relationship between Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
Tale of the Lion King, a live stage production inspired by the cultural roots of this timeless story, performs on select days at the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park.
At Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park, guests may cross paths with Black Panther, or train with Black Panther’s loyal bodyguards in “The Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje.”

Pineapple Crisp Sundae is a HIT at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We got over to the park on a nice hot morning here in central Florida, and since vacation calories do not count we decided to have ice cream for breakfast, and a better choice could not have been made.

At Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Harambe market in the African area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom we got the Pineapple Crisp Sundae – Pineapple Crisp Cake, Vanilla Ice Cream, Pineapple Caramel, Crispy Streusel Topping $6.79, and fell in love with this!

If you have had the pineapple bread pudding at Ohana’s in the Polynesian Village Resort, or had it at Sebastian’s Bistro at Caribean Beach Resort you will immediately relate to them. The taste is a perfect blend of pineapple, and vanilla ice cream, with the crumble on top making it a treat we shared and all enjoyed.

Celebrate Pride Month with New Photopass Magic Shots at Disney World. Disney has rolled out the rainbow carpet in support of the LGBTQIA+ community for Pride Month 2023, as they always try to do each year. Pride Walls at each Park, themed snacks and treats, and so much more.

At Disney’s Magic Kingdom, you can also enjoy a keepsake from your visit all month long, featuring different Pride-themed images. Whether you are part of the community, an ally, or just like rainbows these shots look magical. From the Mickey Ear firework shot, or the rainbow glitter shot, all of them look great.
