New Jungle Cruise Dessert Bowl at Disneyland

There’s a new Jungle Cruise dessert bowl available now at Disneyland! You’ll find this super cute souvenir at Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland.

The Jungle Cruise dessert bowl is Disney100 themed! It’s the colors of the Disney100 celebration, purple and platinum silver. The top of the cruise boat has the Disney100 logo and it comes with a purple spoon!

You can get the dessert bowl at Tropical Hideaway for $25.49 and includes a DOLE Whip, pineapple soft serve at time of purchase.

Jungle Cruise

The Jungle Cruise is an opening day attraction at Disneyland. The original Jungle Cruise opened on July 17, 1955 at Disneyland Park. Based on Disney’s award-winning True-Life Adventure films, the attraction had a more educational tone. In the early 1960s, Walt Disney introduced more drama and asked animator Marc Davis to sketch some humorous gags.

Over the years, more “wildlife”—and new wisecracks—were added. These updates, along with our talented skippers, make for fun surprises on every trip down the river.

Disney100 Coca-Cola Bottles Spotted at Disney World. Only a handful of companies have been with around since Magic Kingdom Park opened its gates at Walt Disney World Resort over 50 years ago. There are fewer that date back to Disneyland’s opening in 1955, and even fewer that date back to before that – but Coca-Cola sits proudly on that list.

Now as The Walt Disney Company celebrates Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder, Coke, and Disney continue that relationship. With a newly designed Coca-Cola bottle here at Walt Disney World. You can check out the new label in the images below. #disney100

“Disney history buffs like myself may be interested in learning that our relationship with Coca-Cola started in 1942 when Walt Disney first appeared on the Coca-Cola radio program “The Pause That Refreshes on the Air.” In fact, back in 1950, Disney’s television special, “One Hour in Wonderland,” was sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company!

Disney World Floral and Gifts Being Discontinued this August

Beginning Aug. 27th, 2023, Disney World Resort Floral and Gifts will transition its floral & gifts operations to a new Central Florida third-party vendor.

As a result, guests will not have the option to add flowers, gifts, and other related Disney Resort hotel in-room amenities to their Disney World Vacation packages. These amenities can continue to be added to Walt Disney Travel Company packages that will be fulfilled on or before August 26th.

Any guest orders that have been placed through Disney Floral & Gifts for August 27th or later will be fully refunded, and should appear on accounts in the coming days.

“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” Spins a Web of Success with $120.5 Million Domestic Box Office Debut

The highly anticipated film, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” swung into action with a remarkable $120.5 million debut at the domestic box office. Surpassing expectations, it secured the second-largest opening weekend of the year, trailing only “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” with its $146 million debut. Additionally, the film claimed the third-highest opening weekend for any “Spider-Man” installment.

Sony’s animated sequel owes its success to rave reviews, positive word-of-mouth, and the goodwill generated by its predecessor, the Oscar-winning “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” from 2018. Initial ticket sales for the sequel far exceeded its predecessor, which opened with $35.5 million. However, “Into the Spider-Verse” demonstrated enduring appeal, enjoying an extended theatrical run that resulted in $190 million in North America and a global total of $384 million.

“Across the Spider-Verse” also made a significant impact internationally, collecting $88.1 million from 59 territories in its box office debut. Leading the international charge was China, contributing $17.3 million. With these impressive figures, the film has already amassed a worldwide total of $208.6 million.

The story continues the adventures of Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy (a.k.a. Spider-Woman) as they unite to save their fellow Spider-People from the villain known as the Spot. The film features the return of Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld as the voices of Miles and Gwen, respectively. The voice cast also includes Brian Tyree Henry, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, and Oscar Isaac. Audiences rewarded the film with an “A” CinemaScore, while critics acclaimed it with an impressive 95% average on Rotten Tomatoes.
