Vivoli il Gelato, located in the Landing neighborhood of Disney Springs, serves up delicious Gelato and other snacks to hungry Disney Springs patrons. The latest addition to their expansive menu is sure to please breakfast cereal fans: a fruit loops flavored donut, cannoli, and shake!
Considered to be one of the oldest gelaterías in Florence, Italy, Vivoli’s original location began scooping out its homemade ice cream in 1930. Generations later, they’re continuing the tradition at Disney Springs—and dreaming up exciting new frozen concoctions for Guests to enjoy.
Vivoli describes the shake as “Creamy gelato, colorful Froot Loops, and a Froot Loops Bomboloni on top for an extra burst of sweetness.” The Italian Donut, or Bomboloni, can be purchased seperately, and a Fruit Loops cannoli is also available.

The Disney Visa Cardmember Darth Vader meet and greet has returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The meet and greet takes place in Star Wars Launch Bay.
The Darth Vader and Chewbacca meet & greets returned for all guests last year, however, the Disney Visa Cardmember meet & greet has been suspended since Covid-19.
The Disney Visa Cardmember meet and greet is to the left of the BB-8 meet and greet. It typically has a shorter wait time than the regular Darth Vader meet & greet. There’s also a regular PhotoPass Photographer rather than an automated camera. Cardholders must present their Disney Visa debit or credit card.

Flintstones Reboot is coming from Super Mario Bros Movie Directors
Directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic wanted to reboot “The Flintstones”. The team of directors most recently brought us The Super Mario Brothers animated film, the highest-grossing film of 2023 and the highest-grossing video game film of all time, with 1.3 Billion dollars at the box office. Reviving nostalgic properties is a specialty for the directing duo, who have also brought back Thundercats Roar, Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas, and Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.
The news of this latest project broke via an interview with Warner Bros. Animation’s Bill Damaschke, who sat down with Deadline. The film will serve as an origin story for the family and is called “Meet the Flintstones.” This project would be the latest in the long line of attempts to restore the classic animated franchise.
The Flintstones is an animated television series that first aired in 1960 and became one of the most popular and enduring animated sitcoms of all time. It was created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the founders of the Hanna-Barbera animation studio. The show is set in the Stone Age and revolves around the lives of two working-class families, the Flintstones and the Rubbles.
The main characters are Fred Flintstone, a brash and well-meaning but somewhat dimwitted quarry worker, his wife Wilma, their daughter Pebbles, and their pet dinosaur Dino. The Rubbles are their best friends and neighbors, consisting of Barney Rubble, a more easygoing and less impulsive friend of Fred’s, his wife Betty, and their son Bamm-Bamm, who has extraordinary strength.
The show humorously depicts the modern Stone Age lifestyle, with the characters using prehistoric versions of modern-day technology such as cars made out of stone and wood, animal-powered household appliances, and dinosaurs as pets and machines. The Flintstones often find themselves in humorous situations and adventures, which serve as a backdrop for social commentary and satire.
The Flintstones was notable for being the first animated series to air during prime time on American television. It ran for six seasons, totaling 166 episodes, and was later followed by several spin-offs, TV specials, movies, and merchandise. The show’s enduring popularity has made it a cultural icon and an influential part of animation history.
There have been several Flintstones movies released over the years. The most well-known and popular Flintstones movie is simply titled “The Flintstones.” It was released in 1994 and is a live-action adaptation of the original animated series.
“The Flintstones” movie was directed by Brian Levant and starred John Goodman as Fred Flintstone, Elizabeth Perkins as Wilma Flintstone, Rick Moranis as Barney Rubble, and Rosie O’Donnell as Betty Rubble. The film follows the same premise as the animated series, depicting the daily lives and misadventures of Fred and his friends in the Stone Age town of Bedrock.
In the movie, Fred Flintstone is promoted to an executive position at the quarry and becomes involved in a scheme orchestrated by his boss to embezzle company funds. The film combines humor, slapstick comedy, and modern technology parody to recreate the Stone Age world in a live-action setting. The movie received a generally positive response from audiences and was a commercial success.
There have been other Flintstones movies released as well, including “The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas” (2000), which serves as a prequel to the 1994 film, and various direct-to-video animated movies featuring the Flintstones characters.

Universal and Illuminations are Close to a Deal for a Legend of Zelda Movie
The studio and minds behind Univsal’s 1.3 Billion dollar box office behemoth Super Mario movie are trading the mushroom kingdom for Hyrule. Reports have the studio close to a deal with the gaming developer for a future Legend of Zelda film. This animated Zelda film will become the “next big Illumination-Nintendo franchise” as the studio seeks to capitalize on the success of Nintendo’s IP. The Super Mario film was the highest-grossing film of 2023 and is the highest-grossing video game film of all time.
Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto told a Japanese media outlet that Nintendo would surely make future films following the success of Super Mario. Miyamoto helped produce Mario alongside Illumination’s Chris Meledandri. Miyamoto was closely involved in the Super Mario production to ensure the beloved characters were done just right.
The Legend of Zelda is a popular video game franchise created by Nintendo, which began in 1986 with the Nintendo Entertainment System. The games revolve around the adventures of a hero named Link, who embarks on a quest to rescue Princess Zelda and save the fantasy kingdom of Hyrule from various threats, primarily the antagonist known as Ganon or Ganondorf.
The central theme of the Legend of Zelda series is the eternal struggle between good and evil, embodied by the courageous Link and the powerful Ganon. The franchise combines elements of action, adventure, puzzle-solving, and exploration within a richly detailed world.
Each game in the series typically follows a similar narrative structure. Link, often portrayed as a young hero, is chosen by destiny or circumstance to wield the Triforce, a sacred relic that grants immense power. Princess Zelda, a recurring character and member of the royal family, usually possesses wisdom and plays a pivotal role in the story. Together, Link and Zelda aim to thwart Ganon’s plans and restore peace to the land.
The gameplay typically involves Link exploring various dungeons, solving puzzles, battling enemies, and acquiring new weapons, tools, and abilities. These items and abilities allow Link to overcome obstacles and progress through the game’s storyline. The Legend of Zelda games are known for their expansive worlds, intricate level design, memorable characters, and immersive storytelling, perfect for a crossover to the big screen.
While the core elements and themes remain consistent throughout the series, each game offers a unique storyline and gameplay experience. The tournament and the release of the new games – Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil (Disney100 Edition) and Disney Villainous: Filled With Fright – will all happen later this year.
Commemorating 100 years of Disney, Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil (Disney100 Edition) reintroduces four captivating Villains – Maleficent, Captain Hook, Ursula and Prince John – in a limited-edition version of the game that features a streamlined gameplay crafted to help first-time players. The limited-edition, Target-exclusive game also includes a new box design featuring Ursula, lustrous movers and platinum rainbow-foil packaging as well as a Disney100 sticker.
Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil (Disney100 Edition) will be available for pre-order exclusively at Target beginning June 20, 2023.
In Disney Villainous: Filled With Fright, players take on the role of Oogie Boogie in an attempt to dethrone Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, both iconic characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Disney Villainous: Filled With Fright, the first single-character expansion in the Disney Villainous line, will be available in October 2023 – just in time for Halloween.
Ravensburger will also be hosting the first-ever official Disney Villainous tournament later this summer at Gen Con Indy 2023. Interested players should fill out an entry form here to participate. Ravensburger Announces New Disney Villainous Games and Tournament for 2023
Splash Mountain permanently closed on May 31. Construction walls have gone up and work has started on transforming the attraction into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The new ride will open some time in 2024.
Guests can now see the ride is labeled on the Disneyland app map. The words “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Coming 2024!” can be seen in the spot where Splash Mountain once was.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
First announced in 2020, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take guests on a musical adventure inspired by the beloved story and characters from the fan-favorite film. Picking up where the film left off, guests will join Princess Tiana, Naveen and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration where everyone is welcome. Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou to original music inspired by songs from the film as they are brought into the next chapter of Tiana’s story.
Mama Odie jokes with guests along their journey after a special display of her magic. The two-hundred-year-old Bayou Fairy Godmother, with her eccentric belongings and “seeing eye snake,” Juju, is comically eccentric, yet wise and all-knowing, throughout the adventure.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure builds on the story of Princess Tiana, a character whose pride and perseverance reminds us of a universal truth: within us lies the potential to make our dreams come true.
