Day guests not attending Jollywood Nights will still get to experience Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios

Disney recently announced an all-new holiday party coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year. Disney Jollywood Nights is a brand-new nighttime party that will run on select nights November 11 to December 20, 2023. Recently, we learned the party will not impact the ability for day guests to experience Fantasmic!.

Guests of the party can opt to watch Fantasmic! and then enjoy the rest of the evening at Hollywood Studios, while guests looking to attend Hollywood Studios during the day but not attend the party can still get their Fantasmic! fix.

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, located along Florida’s picturesque Atlantic coast, is known for its charming beachfront setting and family-friendly atmosphere. As part of their ongoing commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences, Disney has announced that the resort’s guest rooms will undergo a refurbishment in late 2023.

According to a recent announcement by Disney, the refurbishment of guest rooms at Vero Beach Resort is scheduled to take place in late 2023. The resort management aims to enhance the overall guest experience by introducing several updates and improvements to the room interiors.

Harrison Ford greeted Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular’s Kevin Brassard and Michele Waitman at the ‘Dial of Destiny’ Movie Premiere

A group of Hollywood Studios cast members experienced a bit of Disney magic: the recently released ‘Dial of Destiny’ brought together the legendary Harrison Ford and a group of talented cast members from the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney cast member Kevin Brassard originated the title role in the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios more than 30 years ago. Kevin was invited to attend the movie’s premier and walk the red carpet, greeting fans who have enjoyed watching him perform at Hollywood Studios for decades.

A surprise awaited Kevin when Harrison Ford greeted Kevin and his guest, fellow Disney stunt performer Michele Waitman, as they walked the red carpet. “When I said to him, ‘I’m the man that’s been lucky enough to portray Indiana Jones that you created for the past 34 years,’ he thanked me,” Kevin said in awe.

Kevin started his Disney journey years ago in Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground before he was selected to be the first Indiana Jones stunt actor. Kevin continues to play a key role as the comical “Director,” and as a trainer, he passes the torch to all the Indiana Jones stunt performers who follow in his carefully choreographed footsteps.

Trattoria al Forno Refurbishment Extended to Late June

Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort will be closed for refurbishment through late June

If you are heading to Walt Disney World this month and planning on dining at Trattoria al Forno, it looks like you will need to change your plans-the restaurants refurbishment has been extended to late June.

Disney has added the following disclaimer to the top of the Trattoria al Forno webpage: Trattoria al Forno will be closed from June 11 to late June 2023 as it undergoes refurbishment. No dinner offerings will be available. However, Trattoria al Forno will provide a limited breakfast menu during those dates, with Guests who book breakfast being directed to dine in the Flying Fish dining room.

Trattoria al Forno is a casual Italian eatery located at the Boardwalk resort. The selection for breakfast includes poached eggs with fennel sausage, Sunday gravy, parmesan cheese, creamy polenta and toasted focaccia; buttermilk pancakes with a seasonal compote served with bacon or sausage; an open-faced omelette made with fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil; Sunday gravy served with breakfast potatoes and sausage or bacon; and avocado toast on house-made ciabatta.

Dinner at Trattoria al Forno is a true italian feast, featuring a wide array of selections including fried calamari or an inspired caprese salad, tempt your authentic pizzas, oak-grilled strip steak, luscious lasagna al forno, perfect chicken parmigiana and much more.

Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken-Waffle Sandwich from Sleepy Hollow. We are going back through Disney World food, snacks, and treats that we have not talked about in a while. Last week we brought you the Spring Rolls from Disney’s Magic Kingdom, this week we are back at the Kingdom, but this time from Sleepy Hallow with the Sweet and Spicy Chicken and Waffle Sandwich.

Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken-Waffle Sandwich – Broccoli Slaw with a Honey-Sriracha Glaze served with House-made Chips – $11.59. This delicious snack sandwich is sold after 11:00 AM and is one of our favorite meals for the price.

The Waffle is made exactly like a Mickey Waffle and will soak in some of the glaze from the chicken, making it less messy. The spice is pleasant and maybe a little on the hot side for kids, but for those that enjoy some heat on our food, it hits all the right notes. The only downside is exactly what is broccoli slaw? The chicken itself is the same chicken strips you get from every location around Walt Disney World, which means it is decent.

Overall, this is one of the better quick-service meals at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. 4 Headless Horseman out of 5! What do you think?

Original Director Jennifer Lee Not Returning for Frozen 3

Frozen 3 was recently announced to be in the works but one director will not be returning for the third installment. News broke via The Wrap that the original Frozen director Jennifer Lee will not be returning to Arendelle this third time around. At this year’s Annecy Animation Festival, Lee stated “I can’t say where we are with “Frozen 3.” All our stories are driven by the artists in the studio. Where we’re going with ‘Frozen’ did not come from me. It came from an incredible person. That’s a new piece, I’ve told no one. And I’ve been blown away by it and I’m just having a blast with that team,” she said.

Lee remained quiet on the plot of the upcoming film but teased Frozen 3, “blew her away.” Lee will remain on board to help mentor the directors and animators find their way should they become lost in the woods. Lee has taken on a role as Chief Creative Officer for the Walt Disney Company. She is working on Disney’s Wish and other projects and her new title certainly keeps her busy.

New 4th of July Treats Arrive at Main Street Confectionery in the Magic Kingdom. With just under three weeks to go before the Fourth of July holiday, Disney World is getting ready for the Independence Day celebration with snacks and treats hitting shelves.

We stopped by the Magic Kingdom yesterday and noticed Main Street Confectionary is now selling patriotic-themed goodies. Your normal Krispy treats with MnM’s, Red, White, and Blue chocolate covered apples, and Cake Pops are all available.

Over at the Emporium, you can get patriotic Minnie Ears, and don’t forget the nighttime spectacular “Concert in the Sky” Fireworks happening on July 3rd, and 4th at the Magic Kingdom. Also, over at Epcot, you can see a Spaceship Earth in all the Red, White, and Blue colors during the Fourth.

Follow your nose inside this old-fashioned candy shop, where delightful treats including character-inspired candy apples and Mickey krispie treats are made.

Stitch Spotted Roaming Around Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom. Character interaction has always been a huge part of the Disney experience. Whether it is meeting Mickey Mouse in Town Square or greeting your favorite Disney Princess in Fantasyland, there is something magical about seeing these characters in real life.

After the parks shut down for the world pandemic, meet and greets became socially distant character interactions, where you could wave and say hello, but not touch or hug. Most character meet-and-greets returned to normal a while ago, except for a few meet-and-greets. A point in case is Stitch in Tomorrowland in Disney’s Magic Kingdom who was only showing up for photos from the stage.

Now, however, Stitch is roaming around the whole of Tomorrowland. When we caught up with our favorite blue Alien he was coming out from the right side of the stage area and immediately started causing the fun chaos we all expect.

From hugging and playing with kids, to messing around with merchandise or asking for popcorn at the Popcorn stand. We watched Stitch have fun with Cast Members working the stands in Tomorrowland, and walk hand in hand with smaller children.

Experience Pixar’s Elemental at the Disney Parks for a Limited Time

Pixar’s Elemental has been released and Disney is celebrating at the parks with special limited- time experiences! Take a look at what you can expect at the parks.

This all-new, original feature film is set in Element City, where Fire, Water, Earth and Air residents live together. The story introduces Ember, a tough, quick-witted, and fiery young woman, whose friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade challenges her beliefs about the world they live in.

Disney Parks are getting in on the “Elemental” celebration! At Disney California Adventure park, you can learn to draw Wade and Ember at the Animation Academy during select classes for a limited time. “Elemental” Director, Pete Sohn, recently dropped by the Animation Academy to see his pals Wade and Ember be drawn to life!

Also at Disney California Adventure park, for a limited time, a new water short highlighting the story and characters from Disney and Pixar’s latest film, “Elemental,” will be presented ahead of “World of Color — ONE.” Brilliant projections dance across vast water screens in this two-minute pre-show, bringing the land, air, water and fire residents of Element City to life. In this heartfelt story, fire element Ember and water element Wade discover that though the world tells them they can’t coexist, they are more alike than they realize. As whimsical fountains and powerful music fill Paradise Bay, you’ll see that stepping out of your element may help you uncover who you really are, just like Ember and Wade.

Speaking of Ember and Wade, you can now purchase your very own “Elemental” Sipper from select locations at both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park for a limited time! Which side would you display in the parks?

There are also some tasty ways to celebrate the film’s release. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can indulge in two sweet treats inspired by the film’s stars – Ember and Wade! Epic Eats will be serving up Ember’s Fiery Float featuring DOLE Whip Mango with chamoy-mango purée, chili-lime seasoning, and red bubble sugar, and Wade’s Cool Blue Float with vanilla soft-serve, Sprite, blueberry boba pearls, flavors of cotton candy, and a meringue wave. Both of these refreshing delights will be available starting June 16.

Merry Menagerie Returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the 2023 Holiday Season

The Merry Menagerie is returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this coming holiday season! Amidst the glowing holiday décor, a Merry Menagerie of winter animals returns to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in the form of artisan-sculpted puppets.

This holiday season, Discovery Island will spring to life with a Merry Menagerie of winter animals realized in the form of life-size, artisan-sculpted puppets. Animals include reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins, and more! In the past the Merry Menagerie at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park takes place at random times throughout the day.

When you visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom this holiday season, you’ll find festive entertainment and holiday décor in every land. It all begins on Discovery Island, where you’ll be surrounded by a celebration of winter. The village will be filled with sparkling white holiday decorations and colorful, animal-inspired luminaries, and throughout the day, the area will spring to life with a Merry Menagerie of winter animals, accompanied by serenading musicians as they create a playful atmosphere of festive fun.

The team at Disney Parks Live Entertainment realized this collection of reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins and more in the form of life-size, artisan-sculpted puppets, each designed and hand-crafted using natural materials and fabrics. The animals were then brought to life through a variety of theatrical techniques that will allow them and their performers to interact directly with guests like never before.
